Sing Me A Lullaby [Sonny/Darius]

"I wouldn't feel right having you leave, but if you wish I would gladly have you at my side," said Sonny smiling a little at Darius.

[clementine]

Darius blushed, looking away. This reaction made Loft smile. Sonny was the boy's mate after all! "He'll stay with you." Loft said confidently and finally before Darius could answer. "I'll tell you mother when I return home. I'm sure it'll take some convincing." He mumbled.

Darius just nodded, turning to Sonny with a gentle smile. *I suppose...that is that then.*

Sonny bowed again. "I thank you very much for you understanding," he said and turned to Darius. So he had passed his father's approval, but how much longer until he passed those locks on Darius' heart.

[clementine]

"Yeah, yeah." Loft waved the children off. "Just let me know when my grand babies are coming. That's all I ask." At that, the male turned and went back to his sunning and drinking.

Darius just turned a brighter shade of pink. *Don't listen to that old bastard.* Darius told Sonny. *He's full of it.*

[phantasmalunar]

Sonny chuckled and turned holding his hand out for Darius to take so they could walk back to the spa.

[clementine]

Darius tentatively took Sonny's hand, squeezing it slightly when he felt the pleasant warmth of the male's skin. He looked back at his father for a moment, before continuing on.

*I suppose your parents know about me then?* He asked.

[phantasmalunar]

Sonny nodded. "Yes, I told them this morning, is it alright I told them without you?" He knew he probably should have brought Darius with him, but his mate still had his eight other brothers to be introduced to. "My brothers are probably all waiting with their mates now."

[clementine]

Darius halted in his tracks, pulling away from Sonny. *What? I have to meet more people?* He was round eyed with apprehension. *You didn't say anything about that.*

[phantasmalunar]

"It is not of my choice, my brothers are bound to know and want to meet you. Do forgive me for not thinking of it and warning you, Darius," said Sonny.

[clementine]

Darius frowned, jamming his hands into his pockets with a sigh. *Please don't apologize. It's alright. I suppose it's unavoidable." He continued on walking. *Let's just hurry up and get it over with.*

[phantasmalunar]

Sonny sighed and ran a hand through his hair. There was always this twisting in his stomach when he knew his mate was upset. "I do promise to you that you won't be bothered with them after this if you choose not to."

[clementine]

*Oh, no.* Darius started awkwardly, biting at his lower lip. *I didn't mean it like that. It's just...I'm not good around new people...* He mumbled, embarassed that he had to tell Sonny this.

[phantasmalunar]

"I know," said Sonny, "I do not mean to upset you. They may be annoying at times, but my brothers and their mates are a pleasant enough group."

The arrived at the spa, and as soon as the doors opened, a rainbow of boys met them most wrapped around their mate or holding a child in their arms. "These are my brothers."

[clementine]

Darius did the only think he could think of and that was to cling to Sonny. He grasped his mate's arm, hugging it against himself as he pressed against the male shyly. So many people! Darius had never seen a bigger family.

The Fae didn't reply, merely looking wide eyed at everyone in the room.

[phantasmalunar]

Sonny saw how Darius looked frightened by the size of his massive family and decided to do the short version. "Brothers," he began, "this is Darius and he is my mate. If it will do, may we leave personal introductions until he has settled down a bit more?"

The congregation of males nodded and greeted all at once, "Welcome," before dispersing.
