"No, my brothers and I are just passing through," Jel-lo said. He watched Joey's hand glide through his curly blonde hair and felt the twinge of a smile pulling at the edge of his mouth. He quickly looked down fiddling with his fingers more.

Joey shook his head. "That's a shame. This town really comes alive during the winter and summer and such. I was actually on my way back to my dorm to pack up and drive to Charlotte and visit my family tomorrow. I planned to bring them here for the festival this year though," he said.
"I'm guessing your brothers are older than you?" he asked trying to keep the conversation flowing. Jel didn't seem to talk much, but hopefully he could get the guy to at least stop being so nervous around him.

"Yeah, they're older," Jel-lo answered. "They're in a hurry to get home so they can be they're when their sons are born."
Jel-lo didn't know why he added that last part. Maybe it was because Joey had mentioned family.

"Whoa, that's exciting." Joey smiled. "I've got a nephew, but my brother doesn't care for me much so I don't get to see him all that often." Joey looked a bit sad for the briefest of moments.
"So, I'm guessing you're a little excited about being an uncle?" he asked, happy demeanor back in place.

Jel-lo shrugged. "I guess its okay, but it'll be odd being the only sibling without a kid."
Ever since his brother's had found they're mates, Jel-lo had felt the pressure on him to get his own. It wasn't as if his parents or brothers were telling him this in words, but he could just feel it from the way they looked at him expectantly every time he had even the smallest interaction with a new Zercan. Just because he was the only barer of the siblings didn't mean he had to have kits. With his luck, his mate was probably on another planet. Which was fine with him, so he thought.

Joey smiled. "I gues it would be, huh?" he said looking at the guy. He really was cute.
"Can I ask why you were roaming the streets at eleven o'clock? Not that it's any of my business, but you were just getting awfully close to the bar areas in town." Joey said.

"Um, I was getting something for my brothers," Jel-lo replied. "It was important, so I had to come out this late."

"Could I help you find it? I sorta know this place like the back of my hand." he said, taking a sip of his drink.

"Um, sure, thanks," Jel-lo replied getting down from the chair.

Joey paid Ana, and waved goodbye, grabbing the cups their drinks were in and throwing them away. "Alright, what exactly are you looking for?" Joey asked, smiling.

Jel-lo could feel that tugging of a smile at his lips again. "I'm not sure what you would call it here, but its cylinder like and silver and about the size of my hand. My brothers said there's food in them sometimes."

"A thermos?" Joey asked, blinking. "They have those at Wal-mart. All different kinds." he said, shrugging.

"Oh, where is this 'Wal-mart'?" Jel-lo asked, his eyes watching Joey's full lips as he talked.
Jel-lo shook his head slightly. Why would anyone want to watch someone's mouth while they were talking?

"It's a bit farther away, we'll have to take the bus.C'mon," he said, pulling Jel-lo across the street and towards a bus that had just stopped. "Yo Steve! Hold it!" Joey called, running.
They got to the bus just in time, and a burly guy pulled the door for it to open. "Hey Jo-jo, what's up?" he asked.
"Headin over to Wally world. Thanks for stoppin man." he smiled stepping onto the machine. "C'mon Jel, let's go."

Jel-lo fallowed Joey onto the bus and almost got back off seeing all the natives crowded on it. He looked down and fisted his hands to his sides, anxiety making him tremble just the slightest.
