His second night on Earth. That was what Rui found himself thinking as he came to exit the home he was staying in, with a friend. Just the other day he had arrived on the planet. Finding he had heard quite a bit about it from a friend. What interested him the most was all the new things he could see here. Especially the animals. Some he wouldn't see anywhere else. Though, he had heard just as many negative things as he did positive. He was supposed to be careful. The planet was dangerous. But he was sure he could handle himself.
That was exactly what he had said to Toma. An Air Dragonis he had come to the planet with. He was really a friendly person. One of those Dragonis he didn't mind being friends with. He had a home here on Earth he came to every now and then. He had been lucky enough to get a ride with him. For now, he would stay with him. But if he liked this planet enough, he could try and get his own place. He wasn't so sure about that, but that was the offer Toma had made. He thanked him, telling him he would consider it.
Now was one of the chances Rui had to explore the area. He was told it wasn't safe to go about at night but what could others, humans, possibly do to him. He didn't fear he would be hurt. That didn't mean he was over confident, or not a bit hesitant. A thought he had as he walked off into the night. Dressed in black and silver. It complimented his light skin, hair, and eyes. All he had on him was a bit of money, money given to him by Toma. He was told to get what he wanted with it, but he wasn't going to spend anything unless he had to. He had no idea where to spend it anyways.
Rui supposed he was thinking on it, as he walked along. Until he found himself stopping in front of a club. It didn't seem dangerous. But then again, he hadn't even looked inside yet. He found himself standing there for a bit, wondering what he should do. After a minute or so, he found himself entering. His ears overcome by loud music. Not anything he was familiar with. Then he saw many humans dancing, some off to the side. Sitting at tables, sitting at what appeared to be a bar.
That was where he went. He wasn't so sure about getting anything though. Maybe he would. For now, he stood there, running his hand through his hair. though he had it tied back in a low ponytail. Maybe it wasn't such a good idea to come. He would see if he came to regret coming here later.

Sethos slid a glass across the bar to his 'friend', a helpless human who was convinced that guiding Sethos into the world of social communication would indeed make the vampyre a cuddly, friendly kitten. He had considered feeding off the human, Michael, several times, but had found his voice far too irritating, and his body type entirely unappealing.
Although, scanning the crowd, Sethos could see none of his preferred meals wandering around, and indeed he may be leaving with a completely unappealing form of prey. He lazily took another order and strolled over to make the drink, still quietly observing the group of people gathered around the bar and dance floor.
He shot a smirk at his co-worker as she snarled at a inebriated young man for attempting to grope her. Liza had been fairly reasonable to him, and he found himself preferring her company to that of other humans. However, he was far too closely tied with her to even consider feeding on her, because it would surely be traced back to him considering his suspicious demeanor and love of solitude.
After serving a few more customers, Sethos slid his apron off and allowed Jake to take over for him. He didn't leave immediately, choosing to claim a seat at the bar and continue to inconspicuously scan the humans present. They all looked far too stupid, unattractive or just plain innocent, such as the entirely oblivious looking young male that had walked in a few minutes ago, and was looking adorably lost.
He rested his chin on his hand and continued to assess the bewildered newcomer, waiting to see what his next move would be.

Rui was looking over the many people he saw about. And considered moving himself to a table. Maybe that would have been better. He considered it, but didn't bother moving. He felt a bit nervous. And he was sure he would have felt the same way, no matter where he was sitting. Being amongst so many people. People he didn't know. It had him wondering, what he had been thinking when he came in here.
A faint sigh left Rui's briefly parted lips. Maybe coming in here was a bad idea. He thought that, actually frowning a bit. He was still just sitting there, appearing to look about nervously. What should he do? Leave or stay. He wasn't sure. He couldn't decide. Well, he could. He wanted to give this place a chance, so he would stay a but longer. It couldn't hurt to do that much, right?
A drink. One without any alcohol in it. He thought that would be something he could get. Did they serve orange juice though? Or any other kind of fruit juice. He wanted to ask, but was hesitant to speak. He remained silent, looking down. Clearly either shy, or just a bit lost.

Sethos' smirk grew as he watched the confusion and nervousness play across the newcomers face as he tried to acquaint himself with the setting. Indeed, he was slowly developing into the perfect prey, bewildered enough to be easily fooled, and naive enough to eat out of the vampyre's hand. Not to mention his very pleasing appearance and innocence, surprising and rare in this sort of environment, hard to find in any sort of environment, really.
He made his decision quickly, before anyone else interfered with his decided prey, and stood from the barstool fluidly. Sethos weaved through dancing couples and occupied tables, curling his lip slightly at the unattractive and boisterous crowds occupying most of the club. One particular young man slid out of his seat and clumsily groped Liza as she swung past, earning him a one-way ticket out of the bar and to the street.
He slowly maneuvered within the newcomers eyesight, adopting a cool and approachable attitude. Carefully he idled up to the young man, until he was close enough to speak to him, but not too close as to seem suspicious or sleazy.
"Is there anything I can help you with? You seem sort of uncomfortable."
He smiled slightly, leaning forward to be heard over the music and gesturing vaguely with his hand towards the man. His aim was to appear both friendly and trustworthy, but not too over-concerned, which was one of the only ways to approach this kind of male. He was fairly certain that his prey was at least mildly inclined towards men, even if it was subconscious, but it was still better to be safe then sorry.
Sethos had encountered several males who had been hard to predict, as they could frequently reply to his advances with violence and denial, but this had been when he was new to hunting his prey successfully. He had long since learned to be wary and ever-ready to react to any sort of behavior that his victim, male or female, might show.

Rui was surprised to see someone looked like he was coming he way. He considered he might not be, but he couldn't deny it when he stopped by him. His silver hues even locked onto him. Considering he wasn't feeling any better towards the possibility of having someone speak to him. Someone he didn't know. But then he told himself, he worried too much. This was a good thing. Nothing could possibly go wrong. And if it did, he could handle himself.
He actually did speak to him. The moment it seemed the other male was close enough, he actually spoke. It had Rui, silent for a moment. Just staring up at the other male. Until, he could get his mind to start going again. Mentally telling himself what to say. Or what he should say.
"Well, if its not any trouble." He refused to be troublesome, or a bother to anyone. He was sure, if that was the case, he could do just fine by himself.
"I'm new to this place, and this town." He had no problem admitting that. "So, I can't help but be a bit." He looked down for a moment at the counter, before looking back up at the other male.
He brushed back a few strands of silver hair, glad he had his hair still tied back. He felt it would prove to be a bit bothersome otherwise. Especially with how nervous he still felt now. Even though he told himself not to be.
"I don't suppose you would mind helping me out a bit, I'd really appreciate it." What did he need help with though? He should probably mention that. "I have no idea what drinks they serve here." He wondered if he could tell him that much. Or order him a decent drink. Not one that would make him light headed.

He smiled warmly, and nodded in understanding. How excellent it was that he was a newcomer to the entire area, thus away from any troublesome family or friends. Unless of course he was here with another? Sethos would have to slowly extract that information from him later, and make sure that he was relatively untraceable.
"Of course, that would be fine. My name is Sethos, by the way, although Seth is also fine if you find it easier. I work here actually. We serve a number of alcoholic drinks, as well as a variety of soft drinks and juices. If you like I can order you something? Depending on your preferences of course."
He gestured for the other man to follow him as he weaved his way past other customers to a fairly secluded area at the end of the bar.
"Its rather crowded here tonight, so I can imagine that you might be uncomfortable in a new place like this. The customers are usually pretty good though, they tend to keep to themselves. How long have you been here? If you don't mind me asking, of course."
This was a crucial question, because after a newcomer had been around for a week or so they tended to make friendships and connections with others, making Sethos' job a hard one. But nonetheless, with such an attractive meal he would be more than willing to go to a little more trouble than usual.

Rui felt he might have found a friend. Although, he felt, for some reason, like he should be a bit wary. Did that make sense? He supposed, but he didn't think anymore on it. He would see how things went with this fellow, who just might lend him a hand. If things didn't turn out well, he could always leave. That's what he told himself. As he smiled back at the man.
"I'm Rui," He made a mental note of the other mans name. Sethos. It sounded nice. He would call him Seth for short though. He liked that as well. Oh, he worked here. That was unexpected. Wasn't he taking him off from work that? Shouldn't he be busy? Or was he not working now. It didn't seem like he was, or was he mistaken. For all he knew, he could even be on break.
"I really would like some juice, if that's alright." Rui stood up now, following after the other male. Noting the spot he went to, was less crowded. This seemed the perfect place to be now. He felt slightly better at the lack of a crowd. Or as big a one he was in before.
"You wouldn't be wrong." he was reluctant to admit, as he came by Seth now. "Oh, I've just been here for a day, starting from the other day." he hadn't been on the planet for long, and he was already willing to go off. Hopefully, hat wasn't a bad thing. He was just, up and ready to explore the place more thoroughly. Or, at least have a good time. He could care less about the details.
"You'd be the first person, who's been so friendly to me." Which wasn't too hard to believe. Sethos was really the first one he spoke to. Other then Toma, who he figured was at home, or still out.

He nodded in understanding, waving Liza over and letting her take their orders before taking a seat at the bar and gesturing for Rui to do the same. He resisted a smug smirk at the situation, perfect as it was. What a rare jewel his prey was turning out to be, beautiful, naive and alone.
"I haven't got work for the next couple of nights, so if you would like, I'd be more than happy to show you around and get you more accustomed to the popular areas."
This wasn't necessarily a lie, as toying and dragging out this mock relationship would not be unpleasant. Indeed, the expression on his prey, Rui's, face when he realised how utterly played he was would definitely be worth waiting for. However, there were downsides of waiting of course, it leaves a lot more room for something to go wrong. For someone to interfere with his plans.
Liza swept past and deposited the drinks in front of them before hurrying to take yet another order. Sethos' drink was just for show, of course, as he found juice to be absolutely repulsive, but would give him something to do with his hands (apart from ripping out Rui's jugular of course.)
Sethos took a moment to discreetly admire his choice of companion, such innocent and bright grey eyes he possessed, not to mention his beautiful long hair, in such a strange colour for one so young. He wondered whether or not Rui had dyed his hair, as seemed the fashion for humans at the moment, in order to stand out. However, his prey did not seem to be one that strives desperately for attention from others.

It sounded like Rui had gotten lucky. This guy here, Sethos, was actually offering to show him around. "I'd love that. If you really don't mind." he certainly wasn't going to make the other male help him with anything. As much as he would love to have him help him around.
Everything seemed perfect. That's what Rui thought. Especially as he got the juice that was ordered. How much was it though. He forgot to ask the price. He figured he would need to pay. He had the money. He would do it, as soon as it came time to do so.
"Thanks for this." Rui looked at Sethos as he spoke. He was so happy at the moment, he could have hummed some random happy tune. But he was sure he would hear himself over the music. He found, he wasn't really into this club scene. But where else could he go. Or maybe he just needed to give it a bit more time. He supposed he would see after a bit more time spent here.
"May I ask, what you do when you don't work here?" He was just curious. He hoped it wasn't rude to ask.

"I usually spend time painting or playing some music. I have spent most of my childhood being tutored in most forms of music, so I occasionally am called on for concerts and presentations. That, or I spend time out socialising."
And by socialising he meant hunting down poor, ignorant fools and feasting on their blood while they cried out for their loved ones. But he suspected that wasn't what Rui wanted to hear. Sethos found that keeping things as close to the truth made them sound far more sincere, so his entire answer was, in fact, very true. Not to say that he wasn't an accomplished liar, as he had been honing his skill for many years now.
"Are you intending to stay here for a long time?"
This wasn't such an important question, just something to keep the other male talking comfortably while Sethos decided whether or not to feast on him tonight. He would most likely not, as he could definitely find another human to prey on while he waited for the relationship between himself and Rui to grow suitably.

Rui was amazed. To hear that the person eh spoke to, was so talented. He wondered, if he would be lucky enough to hear him play. "Is there any chance, I could hear you play sometime?" Whether it was at a concert, or h heard at his place, it didn't really matter. As long as he had a chance to hear it once. He hoped it wasn't asking too much. Having just met him, he supposed he couldn't expect to be invited to his home.
"Of course, you don't have to, I was just curious to know what your playing, sounded like." He felt a bit embarrassed, seeming to ask for something he probably shouldn't have. Though, he really didn't see any harm, with asking that question.
What was that question he asked. About him staying. "Well, I'm not sure." he honestly wasn't. He needed to know, whether he would like this place or not. If he didn't, then he would go. He had no qualms with leaving the planet. Besides, he had just came to visit really. Well, sort of. It was kind of like a vacation, of sorts.
"It depends on whether I iike my stay here, or not." If he didn't, then he had no need to look for a place He didn't like bothering Toma so much. Not that he said he was a bother. It was just the fact that he was there. Even though the other dragonis, didn't seem to mind.

"Of course, it would be my pleasure."
He added a small smile, close-lipped, as always. Rui's indefinite answer was a good one, as it meant he could be convinced or persuaded to stay for a longer or shorter period of time. The longer Sethos had to play with his prey, the more satisfying the feed would be in the end.
He was already discreetly scanning the bar for an inebriated and easy prey, preferably someone foolish, or naive. It wouldn't do to feast on Rui so soon, he decided, as it would be undoubtedly more entertaining to drag it out.
"Perhaps I can take you around town tomorrow, if you aren't busy. Do you have a car? If not, I can pick you up."

This was wonderfully. Rui was definitely feeling...elated? Was that the right word? He was just excited. And really happy he had been so fortunate. He went ahead and took a sip of the drink he was brought. Just thinking about it.
He really did appreciate. Rui didn't think he could put that into words. Perhaps he could show his thanks somehow. It was just something to think about later. He would try to think of something good. But he wasn't sure what he could get on this planet.
"Unfortunately, I don't have a car." Nor did he know how to drive. "So, you would have to pick me up...I mean I really appreciate if you could." He didn't want to seem like he was pushing the subject. He wasn't. The other male here, Sethos, could do whatever he wanted to. Rui couldn't and wouldn't try to stop him. Even if he could.
"Should I write down my address." The one he was staying at for now. He just didn't have a pen, or any paper.
