The Perfect Match (Darren/Epsilon)

Epsilon nodded, feeling distinctly green. His grip on the armrests hadn't eased since they had stopped. Gods he hated those sudden jumps and was grateful when Darren reclined his seat. Eyes tightly shut, Eppi was breathing deeply through his nose.

"I'm fine. Just gimme a second." He said finally, nausea passing.

Darren looked at the boy with concern before going into the kitchen to grab a bottle of water and bringing it back to Eppi. "Here, drink this," he said softly.

"Thank you." Eppi murmured, taking the bottle of water and drinking half. "I feel better." He assured, flashing Darren a small smile as he recapped the bottle.

"Alright..." Darren smiled, before setting the ship on it's course to Jeskara. "What would you like to do now?" he asked.

Epsilon just shrugged and shook his head. "It doesn't matter. Whatever you want to do." The teen got up, moving towards the kitchen unit to put his bottle of water away.

Darren sighed, ordering the ship to go full speed to Jeskara.

"Would you like to hear about them?" he asked. "Rykan, Jikan, and them all--I mean. It's sort of not fair for me to drag you along without you at least knowing who they are."

"Of course." Eppi nodded. "And you're not dragging me anywhere." He assured with another small smile. "I chose to come with you if I remember correctly." The teen plopped back down in the on the deck chair and looked at Darren expectantly. Eppi sighed softly, fingering the chain and ring that Darren had given him earlier as he waited.

"Alright, well..." Darren went to grab something and sat down, handing the small device to Eppi. he presss a button and the screen projected hollographic images of a beautiful, silver haired male with a flute.

"That's Rykan. He's who we're going to help. We've known each other for what seems like forever, and he's my best friend. He's blind, but he's got some weird sonar thing that makes him able to tell where things are. He's kind of cold, but don't let that faze you--he's actually really caring, even for people he's never met." he said.

Epsilon gasped at the beauty of the male, watching the little hologram rotated above its disk. "He's so beautiful." The teen said in awe as he continued to look. He wondered what it would be like to look like that and giggled at the thought. "It's horrible that he's blind though." He added more seriously.

"Yeah, everyone says that--but it's really not. It's made him who he is, and he's a better person for it." Darren smiled. The image changed. "That is Xero." he said, motioning to the handsome young silver haired male who wore a bright smile.

"He and I used to..." Darren bit his lip. "well, you know. But now, we're just really good friends. He has this mate--Jonas--who's a real douchebag, but there's nothing I can do about that. He's really kind and a bit of a wildcat. He can be pretty vicious when he wants to be--but overall, he's a fun-loving guy." he shrugged as the next picture moved.

It was a beautiful slim, pale man with sexy brown hair and large amethyst eyes. He wore a loving smile and had graceful air about him. "That's Ji-ji. Rykan and Xero's mom. He was like a second mother to me too. He's so kind, and warm-hearted you'd never guess he was a Majikadai. He's dying now..and we're all afraid. If we lose him, Zerca knows what we'll do." he said, his eyes genuinely sad.

The picture switched to a tall, proud, strong, gorgeous Zercan. "That's Captain Soren. Rykan and Xero's dad. He's a bit scary--actually, he's really scary. He still scares the shit out of me to this day, but he's really kind and generous, and he loves his family. He actually taught me and Xero how to fly, and got me into the Zercan battleforce." he smiled.

Epsilon couldn't help a well of jealously over this Xero person he'd never met. The teen was beautiful too and he couldn't understand why Darren would go for him. Eppu pouted internally and wondered why he suddenly wished to be as pretty as Xero, or Rykan even. He shook his head. What a stupid thought.

At the sight of Jikan, Eppi felt the sorrow that pierced through Darren and he reached for the male's arm reassuringly. After Captain Soran, the teen just sighed. "The entire family looks absolutely wonderful. I bet Xero and Rykan get along great." He couldn't help but think of his own obnoxious brother.

"Will Jikan be alright?"

Darren smiled as he felt Eppi's pang of jelousy. "Yeah, I think he will. He's much stronger than he looks. And Rykan and Xero get on great." he smiled.

The screen flipped again. "Oh! Speaking of brothers--that's my older brother--Farrah. He's the head doctor at the hospital in the city I live in." he smiled as the screen showed a smiling snow leopard.

The picture flipped to a large, more bulky leopard with deep black hair and a severe look about him. "That's my other older brother, Drake. He's a blacksmith." The picture flipped once more and it was of a handsome young cheetah around Eppi's age. "That's Gion, my baby brother. He's soon to be a part of the Royal Guard. I personally think he's way too serious for his age, but hey--what can you do?" he shrugged.

Eppi smiled over seeing Darren's brothers. "Gion looks like you Darren!" The teen exclaimed, looking the hologram over with a smile. "I'd really like to meet all of your brothers. They seem like really nice people. Do you think we could?" He added hopefully, lilac eyes wistful.

"Of course." Darren smiled. "I'm actually past due to call them. You can meet them now, if you want." he said pulling Eppi into the deck again.

"N-now?" Eppi squeaked, catching a sudden case of the jitters. "I-I supposed, but won't it be rude to meet them like this and not in person?" He asked.
