Leonardo wasn't exactly comfortable where he slept but he was able to sleep and sleep he did. The nap he had figured he would take turned out to be more or rather longer then that. Definitely not what he figured would happen but then again the whole night went unexpected. It wasn't like he expected anything like what happened to happen. How he managed would be a mystery to him when he woke up. Not so much to the Leo that dealt with the majority of it but the one that had remained dormant during it.
Just as how he had managed to sleep with a stranger in the room, well more then one but the child was nothing he worried about, when he looked very capable of doing who knows what to him. Though he had to recall he was hurt and that would keep anyone from doing anything strenuous. Not that he would think it took a lot of work to be rid of someone. Not with the comparison between him and the other male Kobe.
As Leo slept he had a dreamless sleep. It was better that way. Good dreams weren't more often then its opposite. Even with the time that passed for unsaid things that would give anyone nightmares. That is perhaps why Leo did not wake up. He simply let the whole night away as he was in the chair. Even if he wasn't entirely comfortable. Something he would perhaps remotely recall but not understand why. Not the Leo who was present last but the one who left early.
When the sun rose Leonardo was very much still asleep. After what happened and the day he had overall he couldn't help but sleep in. Normally things would have gone a bit differently. He would be up easy and perhaps in his art room but today was different. That and it was common for him to do so. Sort of a habit he wouldn't mind shaking off as he didn't have to wake up early. But he had a hard time doing that so he woke up whenever he woke up. Whether it was something that woke him up or he woke up naturally.
At the moment it would take quite a bit to wake him up. So when he was suddenly taken up, not really noting it in his sleep, and carried to his bed he hadn't woken up. He just continued sleeping but did note he was suddenly quite warm and comfortable. Something his subconscious noted actually. Where he just might linger in sleep a bit longer then he would have. Maybe, with all that happened he would have been looking forward to the next day. Part of him would at least.
Being quite comfortable in his current position Leo unintentionally let out a faint sigh. One that sort of brought him to the present. He felt far too comfortable. Not that it was a bad thing but he sort of registered in his mind that something wasn't right. He couldn't know what when he was sleeping but it was that that should have come to his attention as well. That and where he rested he felt he wasn't alone. There was someone else in the bed with him. He did note that much as he found himself waking up. Not just because of the extra body heat but he noticed the little details even if he didn't always bother with them. Something that would definitely be a bother to him when he found himself fully awake.
Sapphire blue orbs first opened to looking up at a white ceiling at some point in time. He didn't necessarily woke up right after he had been placed down in bed. But it wasn't that long before he found himself opening his eyes. It seemed everything was a bit of a blank if not a bit of a blur as he found himself instantly back tracking. What struck him first was that he was in bed. When had that happened?
He remotely recalled that he laid down in bed but something had happened. He didn't recall what. He had who wonder for a moment if he had a nightmare. One where some stranger suddenly came into his room with a monster. He was sure he had been about to be attacked. It had been a horrible experience. And that was all he recalled. So it had to have been a dream. He mentally confirmed it.
Well, he thought it was that and would have settled on that. However, as much as he wanted to believe that he felt that wasn't the case and as if to prove him wrong, with what he decided, he found his settling on the small body of a toddler. The child from last night.
That thought was all that was needed to make Leo realize his dream wasn't a dream. But it was still a mystery to him. How he got where he was and who the child was as well as where... Where was that man from before. The thought caused him to avert his gaze from the child to look out into his room where he spotted who he had to assumed was the same male as before. The one who threatened him. The open he was sure had been about to kill him. The one who had been over him before he found he couldn't recall a thing. Something he knew hadn't happened since...
But he didn't feel anything happened. Not like in the way he usually did. Though he didn't feel anything occurred he couldn't help but feel wary and still a bit fearful. Although he couldn't quite say that it was as much as before and he couldn't make sense of it. Not that he was going to get lost in thought when a naked man was in his room. He had to wonder if anything did happen but looking at the man more carefully he noted there were bandages on him. He had been hurt. He recalled that suddenly. The man that was over him earlier. It was like an image playing over in his head.
He had gotten blood on him and then that was it. That was all there was he recalled clearly and then there was nothing. Although he didn't understand why, especially with why it usually happened, he wasn't jumping up to get away or do anything of the sort. He really needed to make sense of this but now he wanted to know who this was he was dealing with and why he was still here.
Reluctant to stay laying down Leonardo suddenly sat up. Not quickly as he did not the boy sleeping. He simply sat up slowly where he had his gaze set on the other male. He did note he was naked, it was hard to miss, he just didn't feel comfortable around him. Not enough to look away though. He wasn't embarrassed just confused and he would rather not have this other male here whoever he was.
That much was something the now present Leo could share with the other half he had no knowledge about. He wasn't one easily embarrassed. He merely cared about the facts. Like why this guy was here and why he was still alive. Not the guy standing in the room but himself as he thought last night was it. Really it, and he wouldn't see the light of day again. Not to be over dramatic but what else was he suppose to think.
"Why..." Leo began only after removing the covers on top of him off but kept it on the child in the bed with him. He wasn't sure what to expect so he took it off. If he had to jump up and go then he didn't want anything making him trip up. He also didn't wish to wake the child. Even if he had no idea what the story was with him. The thought had him wondering how anyone with a kid could be bad. But then all it took to end that thought was a memory or two that caused him to frown for what would be obvious if anyone else knew.
His gaze briefly fell to the ground for a moment as he came to shake or brush aside the very unwanted memories. Now was a really bad time to get emotional. It was something he usually wasn't. It was why last night had him really hating himself. The way he acted at least. But it was simply a natural reaction he supposed. But he didn't care to think about it. He needed to keep his mind on what was going on so he could figure out what was going on. The fact he didn't recall anything was just as bad knowing something bad occurred and he could only assume such with what he was left to think.
Sitting didn't seem to suit the situation or how he felt. That's why Leo suddenly stood up but still minded the child, hoping not to wake him, so he stood up with his gaze once again set upon the male here in this room. Clearly he was wary of the situation though he tried not to show it. With the male not hovering over him he was just a bit less intimidating and so he could manage that much. Now he had quite a few questions in mind to ask.
Now he could speak them with a schooled expression. He didn't care to show he was fearful here even the slightest bit. Though he still didn't understand why things seemed a bit different. Besides the visibly obvious. The man wasn't naked last night and he couldn't only imagine that the bandages were taken from the first aid kit he had in his home. It was actually something he noted. But how did it get there. He wanted to, or thought to, assume he had searched in his stuff but then he suddenly recalled a image of it being in his own hands. It was a sort of random image that told him something he happened. He hated when that occurred but then at some point he didn't think to argue about.
Not simply because he had no one to argue, he still didn't grasp or figure out there was another side to him, with but certain things he didn't recall were things he never wished to. So considering that he didn't think to question it any further. But that didn't mean he didn't want to know what he didn't recall last night. Especially since it seemed something very serious. At least to him it was.
"Why are you here?" That was the first question he managed to voice. As he had spoken he found himself moving to back up against the wall. "What did you do?" He wasn't very specific with that question. He didn't know what exactly he was asking to here but he wanted to know what happened. This whole situation seemed so unreal and briefly he had to wonder if anything happened to his art room. He was suddenly anxious to check but he had this feeling nothing happened to it. Still he made a note to check on it as soon as possible.
"Who are you?" The last question was something he felt was important though he somehow felt he hadn't needed to ask. But as of the current moment he felt clueless and at a loss and he really wanted to distance himself from this male. While at the same time he didn't. It was strange but he didn't opt to listen to what he didn't understand with himself so the first was the only real choice to go with.

The first thing that Kobe noticed about the house was that it was spotless. Everything seemed to have a place. The lion didn’t move to far from the bedroom. He was simply looking down the hall and trying to see as much as he could from the bedroom. He hadn’t actually been formally invited to the house and he didn’t want to go snooping about a place where he wasn’t wanted. So, he stayed where he was in the bedroom, waiting patiently for the two boys to wake up. To his consternation, he had yet to find any suitable clothes. Everything he had found from his cursory inspection inside the drawers would not have fit him at all. The difference in size between him and Leo had just been too great.
Kobe’s head swiveled to face Leo once he heard the boy speak. He watched as the human removed himself from the bed and was happy to see that he was being careful in his movements. Kobe wanted Ferris to be asleep as long as possible. He knew the baby was tired, sleeping about as much as he had through the past few days.
Leo smelled different. That was the first thing the registered to Kobe. He didn’t know why Leo smelled different from the night before, but he did. This was perplexing as he knew for a fact that humans couldn’t just suddenly change their scent. Mask it, yes, but not change it. The fact that Leo’s scent was completely different this morning had Kobe’s curiosity piqued. Who was this human? However, the lion’s curiosity was dampened as his eyebrows furrowed in worry at the boy’s reaction. What was going on? He acted afraid. The overwhelming need to comfort Leo overtook him and Kobe was halfway across the room before he stopped himself.
“My name is Kobe.” Kobe said slowly as if talking to an overanxious three year old. “I fell through your window last night. I’m sorry about the huge mess I made, but thank you for helping me.” The lion patted his bitten shoulder genially. “It really feels a lot better now.” He smiled, more out of habit than anything else. He wanted to reassure the strange human as best he could. He didn’t know why the other seemed so wary of him or he kept asking questions that he been answered last night. Had the boy merely forgotten because last night had been so traumatic? Kobe didn’t know.
With his hands up in a gesture of surrender, Kobe moved to the bed, suddenly wanted Ferris to be within arms reaches. The human was acting a little volatile, completely different from the night before. Kobe didn’t know what to expect as he sat down slowly on the mattress. For the most part, his nudity was now slightly censored, his manhood hidden. He was still very much exposed though, the wide of the bandages set starkly against his tan skin. Frowning, Kobe ran a hand through his dust filled hair, looking perplexed, but not dangerous, even as his movements caused his generous muscles to ripple with use.
“I don’t understand.” He felt like he had been saying this a lot. The human had just thrown him for a loop and he felt like he had been left hanging. “Do you not remember me Leo? Please, don’t be afraid. I won’t hurt you.” A sense of déjà vu flitted over him. Had he not assured Leo of not harming him before? What was going on? Why was Leo afraid all over again and smelling like he was a totally different person? Kobe confusion showed on his face, making him look much younger for some reason.
Well whatever the reason for Leo’s sudden change, Kobe would be out of the boy’s hair soon enough. Before he did that though, he need some clothing. “I know that this probably isn’t the time, but do you by chance have some pants I could borrow?” He smiled again, thinking no threatening thoughts. “If you don’t mind me asking, why are you afraid? You helped me last night. I’m not going to do anything to you. I promised not to touch you, remember?” He hoped that this would assuage Leo’s anxiety

Leonardo couldn't help a frown that settled upon his features. He had mostly left his expression unreadable though, or passive, but this whole predicament was far too confusing. He had so hoped he had been dreaming but obviously he wasn't. He didn't understand how any of this could be happening. That some stranger could suddenly appear here with a child. Then a time skip to the next morning. That is with everything he couldn't recall but he knew something happened. He wondered for a moment if he had just passed out and been placed in the bed here but just to check he reached up and touched his face. His hand ran across the smooth skin of his facial features to check something. The blood that had been on his face was gone. How had that happened. He didn't recall getting cleaned up. This was all a bit too much but not like how it was last night. Merely in the way it was bothersome or annoying and all he wanted to do was understand what was going on here. He didn't like not knowing what he thought he should and he thought he should know what was going on here.
Hearing the man introduce himself he almost felt like he knew or heard it before but he was sure he hadn't. He considered for a moment but hearing the one he heard was Kobe go on he listened to that instead. So he had made a mess in his room. Not that it was mentioned he did recall the mess and briefly looked around. What had happened to it? He didn't recall cleaning up. He didn't recall much of anything though. Did this Kobe fellow clean up. What was this about him helping him. He hadn't. He couldn't recall. Had he. What did that mean if he did. That he blacked out or something of the sort. It wasn't like this was the first time it happened. It shouldn't really be that hard to believe. But still... He didn't like the idea of that happening. That he would suddenly have no recollection of what occurred after doing something for a stranger. The only thing good here was that it didn't feel like he had been hurt or touched so he supposed it was safe. That didn't mean he suddenly wasn't wary of him. He just imagined he wouldn't be where he was now if this man had meant to hurt him.
Thoughts that were suppose to help him relax, that he should be relatively safe in this mans presence, didn't assist as he would have hoped. He found himself still frowning as he saw Kobe seat himself on his bed. There was some relief from no longer seeing certain parts of the other male. He wasn't repulsed or anything like that but he didn't feel comfortable or that he felt even the slightest bit at ease around this stranger. In general the naked sight of another, especially a male, brought back flashes of unwanted memories he didn't care to acknowledge. He wondered for a moment if he could just go back to sleep now. He didn't really care to face all this. Not now or any point in time really. It was that or retreat into his art room. Which was really quite tempting right now. He wasn't thinking to do any form of art though. He just felt he really needed to think and straighten out his thoughts. Usually he had no choice but to continue on as if nothing happened when things like this, where he didn't recall certain things, occurred but now that he was living by himself he could do as he pleased. And at the moment that was simply trying to figure everything out. Though he supposed he couldn't do that by himself.
For a moment Leonardo was lost in thought. Trying to figure things out still and figuring out what to do. He settled on not trying to recall what would come to him. He somewhat figured he wasn't in any immediate danger. He wasn't sure what he would do though. It was as he was considering that part when he heard Kobe speak. What didn't he understand? If he was confused then he wasn't the only one here. Was he really asking if he didn't remember him? Wasn't it obvious. He wasn't sure about not being afraid. He didn't think he'd go trusting the guy anytime soon at least. "I'm sorry I don't remember you." He really didn't recall anything, but a few images he couldn't put a story to, that involved him with this guy. "I..." He began to speak now, starting to move along the wall a bit and further away from the other male. He wasn't quite sure what he was trying to say. He really was at a loss at what to do. Other then going into his art room. But that wasn't how he needed to deal with this. He needed to figure out what was going on here or rather what to do. It didn't matter what went on here as long as he cold focus on the present. He could never change the past just look into the future.
The mention of clothes were definitely unexpected and he found himself stopping what he was doing to look over the other male. He really didn't seem like he would attack. Perhaps he was being silly here. He found himself mentally sighing as he moved off from the wall. He couldn't keep acting like he was afraid even though he was. It really seemed...unnecessary when he saw how this Kobe fellow acted. "I think I might have something." He considered that David had some clothes lying around here. "And..."He trailed off considering answering the question he was just asked towards how he felt with fearing the obviously intimidating male. He could have laughed a bit at what he thought was obvious but he didn't. In fact right now his expression was simply passive. As it usually was. "I really don't recall anything from other then when you...threatened me." He referred to when the man had him pinned down. Just thinking about it he unknowingly placed his arms about him to hug himself. He had felt so...restricted. That was the easiest way to put it in a single word. For reasons he didn't wish to talk about he didn't like feeling like that. He didn't like being held down in such a manner or any manner at all for that matter. "I don't think you could blame me after what happened." He thought it was reasonable. "And I don't know about any promise but I'd appreciate it if you kept to it." He definitely didn't want to be touched by the strange naked man in his room. He didn't want to be touched by anyone without clothes let alone someone who did what this guy had done to him.
It took a moment for Leo to realize what he was doing with his arms .He was quick to let them fall and look away from the other male as well. "I'll be right back." He spoke this, moving to go out into the hall. He intended to retrieve the clothes now considering he had some of David's clean clothes in his laundry room. He set them there for him to use whenever. Not that the older male he knew as David couldn't clean up after himself but the fact he came over every now and then and it was always nice to have spare clothes. Considering this he took his time walking there. Not just to think of that subject but it gave him a chance to think away from that Kobe fellow. The man who said he had done this and that but he couldn't recall. He was almost tempted to ask if there had been anything that happened between them but with the child there he doubted it and quickly dismissed the question. Besides even if something happened it was over and done with so he didn't need to think about it. That was what he told himself at least over and over again. Not just now but in the past as well and he did so now as he reached the laundry room and entered it.
Leo considered himself lucky to have this up here, the laundry room, so he didn't have to go who knows how far to do his own laundry. He was quick about retrieving the clothes he needed to get and took them up without much consideration on his previous thoughts as he left quickly and walked back to his room at a quick pace. Not for any particular reason other then the fact he wanted to get settled on the thought of what he was going to do with his other male here. He was curious on the child but it was really none of his business. He thought that but he felt he just might inquire anyways.
Sapphire orbs were quick to set eyes on his room as he soon walked in through the door way with the clothes needed in hand. He found he stopped after a step or two once he entered the room. His gaze quickly set about to find the man in his room and he somewhat reluctantly approached him with the clothes in hand. "Here." He said this, sparing a glance at the child in his bed once more before looking at the larger male, as he handed over the clothes to him and took a step back. As soon as his hands were free he found himself folding his arms as he let his gaze longer on the male before him now somewhat thoughtfully. He wasn't thinking to really do anything now. He just had to take this one step at a time. First he needed to know what this other male would do before he knew what he would.
Though Leo was considering waiting a thought suddenly came up. "Are you hungry?" He didn't know why he bothered asking but seeing he didn't feel this guy was going to take his life or even have his way with him it seemed proper to ask. It seemed he was somehow his guest even though he thought it a bit ridiculous considering how it occurred. He briefly wondered if he could get anything for the child as well. Looking at him he considered he was more then likely a toddler and not that old. He wondered where his parents were. For a moment he thought to ask but he found himself silent and merely frowning as he looked back at the one he knew as Kobe.

Patiently Kobe listened to the human in front of his, head cocked slightly to the side. This was not what he was expecting. He wasn’t remembered at all! That was a little upsetting. It was understandable to be disliked, but to be completely forgotten? He didn’t think his entrance had been that unmemorable. Frowning, he sighed a little loudly.
His dark blue eyes flickered to the window which he had fallen through. Other than the pane of glass missing from when he had shattered it, it looked as if a fight had never taken place. The dust of the Prasidion was gone and with the light flicking in between the curtains, so was the fear of them. Kobe was once again very glad that it was daylight out. He would had time to recover and figure out what the human was about.
Kobe was silent as he tried to think of what to say, only to perk up at the mention of clothes. He watched Leo leaving, the sense of déjà vu still hanging around his head like a fog. Leo had done and said the exact same things from last night. The boy’s familiar “I’ll be right back” was particularly jolting. While this time Leo went to get clothes instead of milk, it was still very…weird to be in the same situation over again. Thankfully, Ferris managed to giggled himself awake and gave Kobe something to focus other than Leo. He was still feeling a little bad over the boy. He wanted to reassure him…comfort him, but he was going to hold to that promise he made. He wouldn’t touch Leo. At all. Even though he wanted to very much. Something about the human was magnetic. Kobe was too slow in his thinking to even have a guess as to why this was.
Ferris started babbling at him, jolting him from his thoughts. Kobe broke out into a brilliant smile, cuddling against Ferris, peering into that little round face in earnest. The baby peered back, giggling, as he copied Kobe. Kobe stuck out his tongue then, and so did Ferris. This set Kobe into a fit of laughter, his warm baritone mixing with the baby’s treble giggles. On the outside, they looked like father and son instead of protector and prince. It was obvious from Ferris smiling face that the child was adored.
The two continued to play around on the bed and were doing so when Leo came back into the room. Kobe’s antics instantly stopped as did his smile which left a very confused Ferris in his wake. The lion watched Leo’s movements with a flickering gaze. It didn’t escape him that the boy was still afraid. He took the clothes silently, careful to not let their hands brush in the passing.
“I didn’t mean to threaten you and I will keep my promise. I‘m sorry.” Kobe blurted out. It had been for Ferris’ sake that he had done such a thing. “I mean…thank you.” He was always doing that. The moment he thought of something to say in a serious situation he just had to go and spit the words out. It was like he was making up for not answering quickly enough before. This was rather bothersome to him as he paused then looking a little disconcerted at the clothes. He moved to tug on the pants easily enough without embarassment. The jeans fit him just fine but the shirt was going to be a different matter. He slipped into the button up shirt, but when he went to button it up, it would not.
Kobe looked sheepishly up at Leo with an apologetic look as if it was somehow his fault that the shirt would not fit perfectly. He gave a mental shrug. He would just leave the thing unbuttoned. It would fit okay then.
At the mention of food, the lion looked up rather excitedly. The words were easy this time. “Oh, yes, very much thank you.” Kobe replied emphatically. He really was hungry. His stomach felt like it was eating itself. He smiled a little, still trying to put the human at ease. Thinking of something, he picked up Ferris who made a funny baby noise in response. “This is Ferris.” Kobe said proudly, holding the toddler towards Leo like a prize. Ferris reached his pudgy arms at Leo, clearly showing that he wanted the human to hold him. Now.
“You can hold him if you like. He likes being held.” The lion smiled as if this was something great. He wanted Leo to not be so uncertain. He thought that if he showed he trusted Leo holding the baby, the boy would feel better.

Leonardo wasn't quite sure what to make of his current situation. Standing where he was writing his room now with he strange male with the toddler. It really was...something. He wasn't sure how to go about making his next move. That is, with what happened he wasn't sure if he should do anything in particular. Though it seemed he would just manage things as it happened. That not only seemed for the best but he felt that was all he could do. Besides he had this feeling he shouldn't think to tell them to leave. Not that he could do that. Well, he could but he would never toss anyone outside with a child. Though with the male he knew as Kobe here he wasn't sure if he would have done anything different even if he didn't have the child. From what he noted, with all the bandages had, the strange make here had been very hurt. Probably by that thing he saw last night. That much he did recall. But what was the point in thinking on the past. He still needed to focus on the here and now.
When Leo had walked in he noted something had been going on. If he could take a guess he would say that he had been playing with the child. He at least noted it seemed the toddler had been doing something but he didn't mind it. He was really now just hoping the clothes would fit. He couldn't say he was expecting Kobe to speak when he gave him anything. He found himself briefly frowning at the sudden apology. What was he to say to that. What was this promise he referred to? Wasn't it what he had mentioned earlier about not touching him. Well, that was a relief. He wasn't sure how he would respond to him touching him in any manner. "Its...not a problem." He spoke, unsure of what else to say. Really, he was lucky to have anything to spare. He was glad David left his things over here. Though seeing Kobe put it on he could imagine that the fact the shirt didn't seem to completely fit was because he was a bit bigger. Well, Leo thought they were about the same size but he supposed it wasn't exactly right. Well, it didn't matter. At least the other male had something to wear and he didn't have to note any private areas he didn't wish to see. Not wanting to see it he certainly didn't stare and didn't note anything in detail.
The mention of food seemed to get an immediate reaction from the bigger male. "I'll go fix something then." That was what he said shortly after hearing Kobe's words. He didn't have a problem with cooking for others. It seemed more often then not he was making more then he should. Due to a sort of habit he had for not cooking for just himself. It wasn't until some time ago he no longer had to. Which sort of only counted until after he moved out on his own. When he was staying with someone, David to be exact, he cooked without being asked and continued the habit he had taken up. Now he had reason to do more then he usually did and he figured the sooner he made it the better.
That was at least what Leo had in mind. Until he found himself staring at the offered toddler. One who was introduced as Ferris. "Ferris." He spoke the name, finding it familiar but not knowing why. He could only imagine that he heard the man say it at some point in time earlier. He wasn't sure what to think of the offered child as it seemed he was willing to let him hold him. Could he really? It was a question he had in mind and might have asked but then he found it was answered before he even had to speak. And looking at how the toddler he now knew as Ferris held out his arms he couldn't think to say he didn't. It wasn't like he had something against children. He loved them. He just never had a chance to be around them other then when he was in school. Being an only child, something he was somewhat grateful for now, he didn't have reason to be anywhere around kids in a younger age group. Not even in place to cross paths with them even at a place like a park or something. He had just always been too occupied with...with things at home. That and as long as he had his art he didn't really care about much else. Not since his mother at least.
It seemed Leo was a bit reluctant to take action or in general do anything. He however raised his arms, with obvious intent, as he moved to take the toddler from Kobe. It wouldn't have been a mistake to note that he had been. Only because he had to approach the other male to do so. Someone he assumed was older then himself with how he looked. "He's adorable." Those were Leo's first words as he took the toddler in his arms and held him in a gentle manner. The last thing he intended to do was to cause the child any harm unintentionally. It wasn't like he had never dealt with children before. He just hadn't had many chances to hold them and he hadn't for quite a long time. Something he hadn't considered but it was a fact.
Questions suddenly came to mind referring to the toddler but he barely managed to hold his tongue. It was none of his business. He couldn't help but smile at the moment as he brushed aside all the bothersome thoughts he had. But he recalled suddenly he had to do something. He didn't know how well he would manage to cook with the child in his arms. He was going to hand him over to Kobe again but he wondered if he could hold him just a bit longer. "Do you want to stay in here or would you like to come out there while I cook?" He asked this question suddenly moving to walk out. He didn't proceed any further then a step as he considered that Kobe might not like him walking out with Ferris. Especially if he chose to stay in his room.
The living room had plenty of room to move about. It was right next to the kitchen which was a fairly open space out into it. It wasn't like he lived in a small apartment though he only lived by himself. He had other things as well besides the art room to keep him entertained. Like the large television he had. Though it went to waste since he was more often in his art room then out in the living room. Not like he never watched it though. He now just imagined that Kobe or Ferris could occupy themselves with that. He sort of wished he had some childhood toys of his to let the toddler play with. Perhaps, if Kobe stuck around long enough, he could buy some things. He found it had to believe that he considered it. He did recall Kobe mentioning he wouldn't be staying long. Still, it was something he would have liked to do in general for the toddler. He supposed he would manage with what he had. It wasn't like he had responsibility for everyone here. He didn't even know why he cared. Or why he found he wasn't so disturbed with the idea of that stranger he just met today staying longer.

There response the human had to Ferris was over all pleasing. Kobe smiled, glad Leo had taken the toddler in the way that he did. As of right now, he had no fear of the human causing Ferris any harm. It was obvious from the way the Leo held the baby that there really couldn’t be any ill intention. This vastly relieved Kobe. If he was going to stay with the human, even for a little while, then he had to make sure that Ferris would be safe. Of course, that wouldn’t mean he would be letting the baby out of his sight.
“I’m glad you think so.” Kobe replied happily, smiling. “He is rather adorable.” He ran a big hand over Ferris’ head, messing up the tuft of aqua colored hair. It was a rather odd color, even for a child of Zerca. It was a handsome color though and Kobe had a feeling that it would darken in time to a nice aquamarine. The thought of Ferris growing up was vexing to Kobe and he frowned as he continued to pet a burbling, wiggling, Ferris. He wouldn’t…have to stay on Earth forever would he? He wasn’t sure. He didn’t have a ship, but the was easily remedied. However, what happened if the Prasidions really took over Zerca! The lion shook his head his disbelief. No way. That would never happened even if the King and Queen were dead, Ferris was still alive. And since Ferris was still alive, then there was still hope for the people. Gods, he needed to get home!
His body automatically followed Leo the moment the boy started moving. Something had been said but he wasn’t sure what. Kobe blinked, shaking off the dust of his thinking, focusing back on Leo as he backtracked to what the human had said. “I’ll come with you.” He said brightly, his thoughts not present on his face. “I’ve been wanting to see your home but I didn’t know if you’d like me snooping about.”
Kobe was looking around curiously now as he entered into the living. It was such a nice open space and the furnishing were rather quaint, in an Earthian type of way. “Do you live here by yourself?” Kobe asked out of the blue. The thought made him frown though.
The idea of Leo living by himself pained him. Wasn’t the boy lonely? Didn’t he have any family that he could stay with? Kobe wanted to ask. Desperately so. He stopped himself though, knowing that speaking about one’s family could sometimes be hard. Kobe loved his family and had never had any problems with them. However, he didn’t know if the same was true for Leo or not. Maybe he’d wait and ask a little later when he knew the human better. They were still strangers to say the least, but Kobe was intent on rectifying that. He liked Leo, honestly, and wanted to at least be friends with the boy even if he didn’t know why.
Ferris was beginning to fuss in Leo’s arms, struggling to be let down. The child was rather demanding and very vocal too. More often than not, Ferris was babbling in his own secret baby language that no one knew. As the toddler squirmed, Kobe was quick to scoop him from Leo’s arms in case the human got alarmed at the baby’s movements.
“There we go Ferris.” Kobe said as he sat the child on the ground. It was funny to watch the kid motor around on all fours for a moment before finding a sturdy grip on the side of the sofa to that he could get upright. “Do you have an siblings Leo?” Kobe asked as curious as ever, not able to hold back the question.

Leonardo was actually, somewhat glad to hear that Kobe would come along. That meant he could hold the child a bit longer and he did just that as he came to head out towards the living room. He supposed he should just leave the two here in the living room. That way he wouldn't have anyone in the way when he was cooking. It was a thought that was on his mind until he noted what Kobe asked. He couldn't help but wonder if that wasn't obvious. He supposed it might not be. Either way he thought it only polite to answer. "I do live by myself." He wasn't going to go into detail about anything. He didn't think the other male needed to know why he lived by himself. Besides it wasn't like he was the only person who lived by themselves. He supposed he hadn't mind it when David was around. But he found he much preferred to live by himself. Although when one lived alone they only had their memories to keep him company. He had that and his art. But his mind still seemed intent to wander though he tried to spend as much time as he could with the latter.
It was unexpected to suddenly have the child in his arms move about. It seemed he no longer wanted to be held. Well, it was nice while it lasted. He would have moved to set him down but Kobe beat him to it. Taking Ferris from his hold and setting him. He was really glad right now he didn't have anything small lying about that the youth could consume. Now he figured he would head into the kitchen. He even turned to do so. However he found Kobe's next words had him pausing. It was only slightly amusing to hear a topic he considered many times before. Not if he had siblings, he knew the answer to that, but what it would be like if he had them. Maybe he wouldn't be here if he had any. Perhaps he would have company and not be living by himself. Either way he had to say he was still relieved he was an only child. "I don't." He answered it simply with a passive look returning to his features. "It's better that way." He added that more as an afterthought as he considered things bit. "Do you?" He thought it just made sense to ask. That and he was curious so he saw no problem with asking the simple question. He could imagine anyone that was related to this Kobe fellow was quite lucky. He just seemed the type to really care. He wasn't sure why he thought about it, perhaps because of the child, but it seemed to fit.
Not thinking to dwell in the living room and accomplish nothing Leonardo turned to head towards the kitchen. "I'm going to start cooking." He said that before he moved to head into the kitchen that was quite visible from where he stood. He could still talk to the strange man that had entered his home last night if he wanted to. He supposed he could say a bit more to him but he just thought to focus on the food he would make as he headed straight towards the fridge once he entered the kitchen. He considered the time and thought breakfast was the best thing to go with. He considered for a moment asking what Kobe would want but then he just thought to stick with what he usually made. He wondered however if he should do something a bit differently with the toddler here. Well, he could do a bit of everything if he had to.
Really not thinking to waste time Leo already set to work taking out pots and pans he thought to use and setting them on the stove. He then went to the fridge, he had stopped before, and took out eggs and a few other items considering that he had a guest. One he imagined ate more then he did. He didn't think to pause and speak then as he really did just focus on the food he was cooking. Starting with the eggs. He was going to make everything at the same time. He could manage that. It took a few minutes to get everything going. Well, maybe more then a few. By the time he was done he had all four places on the stove top with something on top of each. He thought to make some oatmeal to though he wasn't big on it. It was just healthy and wasn't exactly a solid food so he considered maybe the child could eat some to. He wasn't sure if he was eating solids yet. Perhaps he should ask.
"Can Ferris eat solid foods?" He might as well ask now then find out later. He was making more then eggs and Oatmeal but he was fairly sure the toddler wouldn't care for the rest of what he was making. He was curious enough to almost ask what the toddler ate but then he didn't think it would matter whether he found out or not. Not like he could go out and buy things for him. So be brushed off the thought of asking for any details aside.
Briefly Leo considered something. He recalled Kobe mentioned not looking about his home so he thought to say something to that. "I appreciate that you didn't go about everywhere in my apartment." He really didn't care to find out that he came across his art room and accidentally mess with something he would perhaps be a bit miffed about later. He still felt the need to check it out. He had quite a few paintings with many canvases. More so complete then anything else. Though he had something he was working on and some blank canvases. He had just yet to do anything with those that were complete. It wasn't often but sometimes he placed his own art up. He had at least two about his apartment somewhere along the wall. Both simply being displays of landscapes that involved nature with no human life in the picture whatsoever. Like one he had that looked much like a jungle and another simply a field of flowers. Both sort of representing something in a way but to consider that was something he didn't much care for. Not that it was bad but he just didn't think too deeply into things. He didn't usually like what he found when he did so why start now.

Kobe settled himself on one of the barstools so that he could watch Leo. As he looked over the little human, a smile spread across his face. Simply looking at the male made him smile. He liked that. He liked Leo. Why? He couldn’t even begin to guess but a strange feeling was beginning to creep over him and he was sure he’d find out soon what his infatuation with Leo was. It was probably going to be a bit of a problem. Not only for him, but Leo too. Kobe tried to squish the feelings down for the moment, ignoring them until he was sure there would be no looking past them. He knew they weren’t going away and hoped to stall the sudden revelation that washed over him. He couldn’t There was a reason he wanted Leo, to protect and watch over him. He knew what it was, just as his Instinct roared in agreement.
Mate. The word drifted through Kobe’s head even as he willed himself not to think of it. At that moment, he wanted to take Leo up in his arms and hug him close. Claim him for his and never let him go. The lion wouldn’t say or do anything though. Knew that he couldn’t. Not yet at least. For some reason, to him, Leo just seemed rather frail. Not in body but just in looks and mannerisms. The way the human held up that stoic mask made Kobe want to kiss that passiveness away. He shook his head. No. Not now. It would be cruel of him to drag Leo into danger. Kobe told himself that he would remain immune to the effect Leo had on him, even as the tell-tale throbbing of the new mate bond made itself known. So much for ignoring it.
“That must be rather lonely.” Kobe replied without thinking, only to mentally kick himself. What the hell was the matter with him? “I-I mean, not that that’s bad.” He amended. “It’s strange for me because I had a load of siblings. Four actually and they’re all younger than me. My youngest brother is a few years older than Ferris there.” He smiled, even though the thought of his brothers made him sad. He wished he could see them, but knew it wasn’t possible right now. The Prasidions had to be driven back, weakened, before he would be able to get to spend time with his family.
Intent on what Leo was doing, he watched the boy cook up a storm. Kobe’s own cooking skills were rather lacking as his second youngest brother, Dominic, was so fond of telling him. Kobe smiled rather fondly at the thought, only to turn that smile to Leo. The growing fondness for the human was beginning to grow and Kobe could do nothing to stop it. Not like he wanted to. Just for a second he thought of starting his own family. Would Leo want to have lots of children or only a few?
The lion instantly gave himself a mental shake as his mouth opened to ask the question. This was going to be harder than he thought! To distract himself, he answered about Ferris. “Yes. I’m pretty sure he can. He hasn’t had a lot of practice though. When his mother had just switched over he got really sick and would only take a bottle.” Kobe shrugged wryly as if to say “kids will be kids.” He added, “Ferris has his first couple of teeth too. A little early though. He likes to chew on everyth-like right now!”
Kobe cut off his own words in alarm as he had looked over at Ferris. The toddler had half of a knit blanket in his mouth and was gumming it like some chew toy. “No Ferris. Naughty.” Kobe immediately left his seat. Although he was trying to chide the toddler, his voice was still gentle and had no effect on Ferris whatsoever. He gently pulled the blanket from the baby’s mouth. “Don’t eat that sweetheart.”
Deciding to distract Ferris, Kobe began to play with him, pawing at him lightly…almost like a big cat. He looked up though from where he was on his hands and knees, looking at Leo with another brilliant smile. “That would have been very rude of me to do.” He replied offhandedly. “I don’t want to invade your privacy any more than I already have.” He wasn’t saying this to get on Leo’s good side, but because he really believed what he said. He would never to that to someone, especially…his mate. Damn. He was going to have to get used to that, even though the thought made his heard swell with joy.

Leonardo couldn't help but think over all that happened so far. Though he stuck more to the present then the past. He already decided he didn't need to think on what he couldn't recall. He was just thinking on the man he knew as Kobe and the toddler he knew as Ferris. The toddler was adorable, that was undeniable. The older male was...well he didn't feel uncomfortable around him as he did before. That was good. He couldn't find it bad. Though he didn't know what to make of how he felt. When he first met the man he had been absolutely intimidated. Now he was...he was at least alright with him being in the same room. It was really quite strange but he couldn't think to complain. As long as the other male wasn't trying to do anything that would have him uncomfortable he felt he would be just fine. And it was with that thought he managed to simply continue with how things seemed to be going so far.
Minding the food once more was what Leo's attention was on after he had let his gaze briefly look up to catch sight of what was going on with everyone else. It was unexpected to see Kobe seemed to be watching him but he thought nothing of it. He merely minded what was said to him by he larger male. It was a comment that he found might have caused him to falter at what he was doing if it wasn't for the fact he already came to peace with the thought of living by himself. He wasn't really expecting anything else to be said on the matter so it was unexpected to hear what was said next by the larger male. He didn't pause at first but hearing him go on he found himself looking up at the larger male. Hearing him go on about his family. It had him trying to picture the image. Something he didn't have such a hard time imagining.
Kobe just seemed to be the type to be able to take care of a family. He could have easily been thought of as perhaps the father of Ferris or an older brother. Well, setting looks aside. He wasn't thinking to compare like that. Merely with behavior and such and he definitely fit that part. He found himself quite curious though as to what Kobe's sibling looked like. He wanted to try to get a good picture in his mind but he had a feeling he might have been off. It had him wondering what his parents possibly looked like. All something he shouldn't be minding too much with all he was doing at once. That thought had him focusing on the present and the food he had upon the stove. Something he really did need to focus on or he would risk it burning.
"I imagine you must really love your siblings." That was simply said to say something to the general topic. He didn't care to talk about family. Considering it seemed unavoidable to not think on the only family he had left. It caused a sudden frown to break what was his usually passive expression. It only lasted for so long though before his passive expression settled back upon his features and he found himself with his mind focusing once again on the food he needed to mind. At this rate, if he kept getting lost in thought, something would burn and he was usually far more focused then this when it came to cooking. Then again he usually didn't have so much on his mind and he didn't come across some strange person with a kid and had to deal with them. Not that he felt anything bad when considering that. He didn't see them so much as a problem. They were now simply guests. Unexpected ones but guests nonetheless.
Already with the time that passed Leo kept track to turn off the burner under one dish after the other in the order that he found it to be done. He was wondering i he made too much for a moment but then figured he'd put up whatever was left over if anything was left over. With that thought he set to going to retrieve a few bowls. He did this as he noted the answer given to his question on what Ferris ate. He simply gave a slight nod as he went about serving the food. He had a bowel set out for each of them but he didn't know if the toddler would eat anything other then the oatmeal, and he was really hoping he would eat that, He got two plates as well for him and Kobe. He intended to eat as well. He now just hoped that the food he made would be alright with Kobe and he hoped that Ferris would be alright with the food as well.
Briefly Leo found his gaze cast towards where he had seen Kobe go off to get the toddler Ferris. He thought it was sort of cute to see how Kobe tended to the toddler. He couldn't help but smile a bit for a moment as he went about moving towards the table he had set off a little ways from the kitchen. It wasn't a big one but certainly large enough to fit more then four people if necessary. It was there he came to set the food he placed in the bowels and plates. Now he moved to get the drinks but briefly paused as he considered something. "Are you ready to eat?" He asked this as he moved to quickly retrieve some utensils that he quickly placed by the respective plates. He considered asking what kind of drink Kobe would want but went ahead and moved back into the kitchen to see what he had. He only wanted to ask one thing so far. "Should I get Ferris some more milk?" He wasn't sure if the toddle would consume anything else seeing as how it seemed it was luck to just have him consume it the first time. He asked this question coming to stop by the fridge where he was quick to take out the drinks he thought to use which did include the milk. He would just put it back if he did not need it.

He loved his brothers, very much. Kobe wanted to say so to Leo but didn’t. He wasn’t so slow that he didn’t catch that frown on the boy’s face. It was only a flash and Kobe felt a foreign emotion that wasn’t his own ripple through him. He shuddered wanting to instantly go to Leo and cuddle him close. No one should have to feel like that, especially someone that he knew he was going to love. It made Kobe wonder what Leo’s family was like…or in this case a lack thereof. However, once again he remained silent, not wanting to needlessly hurt the boy with something that didn’t really need to be brought up.
Kobe continued to play with Ferris for a moment longer, blowing raspberries on the baby’s stomach. Ferris was giggling madly at these antics, reaching up at Kobe handsome face adoringly. The Captain laughed along with the child, making incoherent noises at Ferris, as the boy laugh even harder. When Kobe heard that the food was ready, he stood up and tossed Ferris up into the air. The child loved this, laughing in delight as Kobe caught him.
The two made it over to the table, with Ferris thrust under Kobe’s arm like a little football. “I am very ready to eat.” Kobe said staunchly. Even if Leo hadn’t been his mate, the human would have had Kobe’s undying devotion despite. Food was definitely the way to this male’s heart. Stomach growling like an animal, he sat at the table in front of on of the plates, setting Ferris on the tabletop in front of him. The toddler instantly took to the utensils, getting to know the silver shapes by drooling all over them as he thrust them into his mouth. Kobe had to valiantly rescue the spoon from Ferris’ chewing.
“Ah, please. Is it whole?” It didn’t really matter last night as Kobe had had Ferris’ formula. “I seemed to have run out of Ferris’ baby formula. Is there a place to buy some Leo?” Kobe was sure that there had to be. The formula couldn’t be that much different. The humans had babies too, right? They couldn’t be that much different from Ferris…minus the whole part cat thing. He was glad that Ferris wasn’t able to yet transform into his kitling stage. That would have posed a very real problem. As it were though, he didn’t have to worry about it. Ferris wouldn’t be able to do such a thing until he was a little bit older.
The lion found himself smiling again as he watched Leo, tracking him with his eyes. His midnight gazed caught every movement the human made and Kobe couldn’t help but be pleased. The little male was really very charming to look at. Leo was slim and rather petite compared to Kobe bulk and the lion looked at the human as something that he could protect. Gods how he wanted to touch him! He had promised though. And even if he was aching from not having any physical contact, he wouldn’t break his promise. He remembered that Leo had been so adamant about the no touching thing. That and he plainly remembered being told that he was definitely not going to be liked. The thought gave him a sick feeling. He desperately hoped that Leo liked him. Even if the Leo from last night was vastly different from the Leo this morning, right down to the scent. Kobe wondered yet again why this was.
“Leo.” Kobe started, clearing this throat a little. “Can I ask you something? I think it’s a little personal, so you don’t have to answer if you don’t want…but something has been bothering me.” The lion flushed and looked away, seeming to steel himself against the question he was going to ask. “You seen very different than you were last night. Your personality that is. Why is that.” He had to know. There was no censure in his voice, merely curiosity over a strange occurrence.

Leonardo was glad to see it seemed Kobe was prepared to eat. That and he had voiced it. He was still working on getting the drinks or rather the glasses now as he brought them over currently empty and set two on the table. He wasn't sure about the milk yet so he wasn't going to go off doing anything yet there. He had left the milk on the counter thought. Just in case. He was going to go back however and put it up if needed. And it seemed it wasn't. Well, not at the moment. Something he considered as he looked up to see Kobe had seated himself at the table with the toddler on the table top. Something he didn't mind. He still found it rather cute. The child overall and how Kobe was around him. He really would have liked to go out and get the toddler something if given the chance.
Hearing what Kobe asked had Leo stop and think as he came up a little ways beside him where he had set the glasses on the table. "I'm afraid I don't have any baby formula but it can be bought at the store." All he had at the moment was whole milk. "All I have here is whole milk so I would need to purchase something for Ferris. He wondered if he would have time for that. He supposed he didn't expect them to up and disappear. That is bother Kobe and the toddler. They would be here whether he left them alone or not. "Would you like me to." He supposed he would do that now and leave Kobe to eat what he could and feed the child here whatever he would eat. He would just eat when he got back or later. He wasn't exactly focused on eating now though it would be a lie to say he wasn't hungry even if it was just a bit.
Considering the left out drinks he had on the counter in the kitchen he moved back to put up what he thought he needed to. At the moment that was the milk. He considered asking Kobe what he wanted to drink once again but he just settled for some orange juice and hoped that was alright. He was already coming up to the fridge after taking the bottle of milk off the counter and placing the milk back where he got it from. Instead now coming to take out the orange juice and set that on the counter. Now he just needed to pour some juice in the glasses he had brought at the table. Perhaps he should have waited a bit to pour the juice out here then at the table. He didn't care for any accidental messes. With that in mind he went to retrieve the glass cups he had set down but found himself pausing when he heard his name said.
The fact a question was asked by another question was somewhat amusing to Leo. He had no problems with questions though. "Go ahead." He spoke this, actually curious to hear what Kobe had to say but found what he heard caused him to frown a bit once more. What he was asking wasn't exactly that simple to answer. He may not know exactly what happened but he wasn't a fool. He was at least aware of the fact when this started to happen and he wasn't comfortable with saying exactly why it was that he didn't recall things. He knew when he just seemed to black out he wasn't really out. Well, his body wasn't down for the count. He just continued to do things but in an obviously different manner as he was all too familiar with some of the differences. "I..." He began to speak unsure of how to go about this. "I can only imagine that it's because of what you did." It was with that said Leo continued and plucked the glass cups he set on the table and returned with them to the counter.
It was there Leo intended to not say anymore but he felt he could say just a bit more. "I don't like being in such a position with anyone." He couldn't say if it included any other figure besides older males but obviously Kobe fit in that category so it was inevitable. "For certain reasons I rather not say, it just happens." He shrugged as he looked at the glass cups he set on the counter rather intently now. "I suppose it goes quite a ways back..." He trailed off definitely thinking he said too much and found himself moving once again to poor out the orange juice into a glass. He definitely needed to change the subject. He had a few unwanted memories coming to mind he didn't care to deal with. In fact he was holding back from embracing himself or wrapping his arms about him as best he could to instead continue with what he was doing.
Sapphire blue orbs seemed to linger on one of the now filled glass cups of orange juice as he set the bottle down on the counter. He hadn't asked Kobe about the orange juice but now he didn't exactly feel like talking. However, to change the subject he had to say something so he'd do that. "Would you like some juice?" He asked this then thought to add something else. "I have other drinks as well but I'm not sure what you like." It may or may not be obvious that he was simply going on to another subject now. Though he tried to hide it, not so well at the moment with his wavering passive expression, his thoughts were definitely bothering him. He couldn't just stop for that though. Besides he wasn't by himself and he didn't care to show how he felt on anything in front of others. "I was thinking to go and get that formula for Ferris now." He was going to leave then he'd come back as soon as he could. He had enough money to get that and quite a few other things if he wished to so it didn't sound like a bad idea.

The strong emotions that rushed over Kobe in a wave was unexpected. Uncertainty and fear lashed through him and he knew these emotions to belong to Leo. Whether the boy was feeling these emotions now or had been dredge up by the question, he didn’t know. All Kobe was sure was he felt an innumerable desire to cry. Was this Leo wanting to cry, or himself? Confused, trying to shake off the boys emotions, Kobe and to willfully stop himself from going to the boy. He shook with the effort of it. Generally, Zercans had no telepathic abilities, save for when it came to their mates. As new and fragile as the mate bond was, it was still there. Connecting Kobe to Leo and Leo to Kobe.
His little mate just seemed so sad and forlorn. Kobe didn’t know what to do to comfort Leo. And oh how he desperately wanted to. He had to remind himself of his promising, chanting it in his head like a mantra to stay in control. Even as he felt his Instinct warring with him, he stopped himself, just barely from reaching out to Leo. Mind sluggish from sudden need off his body, Kobe dragged his attention back to the conversation. He would just have to ignore Leo’s feelings…but how could he ignore such pain? The boy was obviously hurting, but Kobe didn’t know from what or who. The boy was alone, the was the only certain thing. However, the lion was there for him now. He would never leave Leo to be hurt and alone. Never again.
Kobe shook his head, trying to dash away the emotions that battered him. Who knew that he would have felt such things so strongly. He had never known that the mate bond would work in such a way. He had never been mated before.
“I’m sorry.” Kobe croaked lamely. “Juice is fine.” He knew that Leo wanted to change the subject. Could feel the need for it radiating off the boy. Gods, Kobe was half crazed with the need to touch, to comfort. He was mad with the feeling. His mind ran from one strain of thought to the next, always seeming to end on the question of the softness of Leo’s skin. What would the human feel like…or taste like? For some reason, even as he thought this, he took up Ferris setting the child on the floor. He had no reason to this. He wasn’t going to get out of his seat to hug Leo. That wasn’t happening. He was going to sit at the table and quietly eat his breakfast. There would be no more awkward questions. He keep his comments strictly on the weather.
At least…that’s what Kobe firmly told himself. It was the fact that Leo was trying to run away under the pretense of getting baby formula that broke Kobe‘s resolve. “Don’t go.” The lion demanded desperately. He stood from the chair in one fluid movement, coming to envelop Leo in a hug. He knew he was breaking his promise but he couldn’t help it. Not anymore. He pulled Leo close, his strength was apparent, but there was an infinite gentleness to Kobe’s touch. Leo could pull away if he wanted to. The lion marveled at how small the male was! The boy fit perfectly in in the protectiveness of his body and he held Leo like the boy was a thing to be protected, hidden away from the harshness of the world…although Kobe had a sickening feeling that Leo had already met with that.
“Forgive me.” Kobe murmured, though he didn’t pull away. He knew what he was doing was wrong…but how could it be? Leo was his mate. His other half. When he held the human like he was now, he felt completed. His soul cried out to Leo, but Kobe knew the human wouldn’t understand it. He wanted to tell him but held back. It would just ruin things for Leo and Kobe didn’t want that. It would be okay. As long as he was able to hold Leo just for a moment longer, he’d be alright.
Kobe let himself get lost in Leo’s sweet scent, nuzzling tenderly against the boy’s silky green-black hair. He prayed that Leo wasn’t afraid. Especially after what the human had told him about not liking the position. A hug wasn’t scary though, was it? This is what Kobe told himself as he reveled in Leo’s warmth.

Leonardo was actually hoping that Kobe would allow him to go out to buy the baby formula. He would do that and get the other things as well. It would not only give him a chance to do what he wanted earlier, being able to give the toddler something, but it would give him a chance to be by himself. If he wasn't amongst others he was sure he would have really showed how he was feeling which was far from being happy. But he could hold himself together. He didn't have to make it obvious he desired to go anywhere. He also figured that he could stick around and eat breakfast first but then he felt going out for Ferris was a must.
Or perhaps more so in general going out was a must so he could have a moment alone. It was that or retreat to his art room and that was the last thing he would think to do if he wished to simply go about things as he thought they should. It would just be out of place to suddenly want to go to that room. Besides what would he do if he went there. He didn't exactly feel like working on art right now. He supposed he could but who was he kidding. Only himself. He'd go there to do exactly what he felt which was all the more reason to keep his passive expression about him and stay where he was or rather go out and continue on with things.
It was better to focus on what he needed to do. That was what Leo told himself in his mind. He could just look forward to what he would get. He considered getting some things for the toddler to occupy himself with. Like toys or something of the sort even if he had no idea how long the two would be here. For all he knew there was only today and then they would be gone and he'd be stuck with toddler toys. Well, he didn't mind that so much. He wasn't sure what to think on the two leaving. It shouldn't bother him really but his mind seemed to linger on the subject for a moment longer then he thought it should. He was however quick to brush it aside.
Something he was glad he could do at times. It never bode well for him to find himself thinking on particular subjects for too long. Especially if it bothered him and this subject was one he didn't really think to dwell on or figure out why it lingered on his mind. Some things were just better off left alone. Something he found himself fond of thinking on.
Hearing Kobe speak brought Leo's gaze back to the older male. What was he apologizing for though. He couldn't figure that out. Well, at least he knew that the juice was just fine. That meant he could bring the glass to him and hope that he was alright with this kind of juice. He didn't know anyone that didn't like orange juice but he knew not everyone liked the same thing so he hoped that this would at least be liked. So he figured after he gave the glass of juice he poured out to Kobe he would be off to get the baby formula for Ferris.
He saw it being a perfect plan. He would leave the two here and be back as soon as possible. No matter how he felt he wasn't going to let that deter his schedule. If he did he'd probably never get anywhere and no one would care either. Well, perhaps he would receive some worry from one person but that was it. And that person, being David, wasn't even family. That didn't so much bother him as it usually did. He was bothered enough already actually so he wouldn't think it could. He really needed to stop letting his thoughts wander.
It was completely unexpected to hear what Kobe suddenly said then. Did he really not want him to go? How else would he get what Ferris needed? Before he could come to dwell on the matter or say anything he found himself suddenly taken into a hug by the older male. Something that had him so shocked he just didn't react right away and didn't quite process it as anything other then something he wasn't sure what to make of. It however didn't take long before it sunk in. That Kobe was actually hugging him.
He was touching him. He felt himself go rigid in his embrace. Though his hold was far from being a rough one. Really it was a gentle hold he had on him and perhaps if he was anyone else he would have accepted it but he couldn't quite settle himself to do so. Not with the sudden irrational fear he had. One that was definitely setting in now. If only to some extent. One rather similar in a way to what occurred last night. He was being held, the fact it was a hug made little difference but it made some so things were different, not in a rough way either but one he could remotely tell was not with ill intent. That may have been the only thing that kept him from going over the edge as he had last night. Something he wasn't yet sure if he was grateful for or not.
Leo struggled to find some words to voice. He didn't want to be held. He never wanted to be in anyone's embrace. But unlike how he usually felt there seemed to be something different. Something that toned down his usual panicky reactions but all the same it was still there. Though Kobe's words once again surprised him. It had him remain frozen once more as he processed the words in his mind. Forgive him. What? Was he apologizing? He didn't know. He didn't think he cared. Not now. The first thing he found himself able to do was suddenly place his his hands upon the older males chest with the intent of pushing away. He however did nothing but left them there. Whether his hands found their place on the fabric of the shirt gave him or not.
"Why..." The question came out softly and was meant to be followed by other words but he found himself at a complete loss here. He was confused and his desire to back away, as far away as he could, seemed to have lessened somewhat but that didn't change things. It didn't change why he felt what he felt in the first place and it didn't stop the unwanted memories that always seemed to flash before his eyes in such situations.
Unbenkongst to Leo his eyes suddenly teared up and he barely noted the blurriness that invaded his gaze. He didn't think to say anything else as he found he actually moved to apply force to push himself away. Something he was surprised to see he was actually able to do and he found himself suddenly backing against the fridge he has his back facing. His gaze remained the same sapphire blue with his blurry gaze filled with what could only be unshed tears. While at once he found he was glad to be out of the other males old he found the warm embrace to have been...somewhat inviting.
Was that what he could call that? He wanted to say something now but he found he could not. He had no idea what to say. The words, 'Don't do that again' came to mind or, 'Don't come near him', was there but he just couldn't form the words and found he was unsure what to make of it. Confusion not being something he was fond of and the sudden barrage of emotions he felt over all coming down on him. This was exactly why he kept up his passive guise. If he did not then anyone could note how he felt and everything he felt all seemed so...out of the norm.
One couldn't live their lives in a constant emotional state. He couldn't. He wouldn't. But as much as he thought that. To hope to shut off all he found himself feeling now he could do nothing to stop the tears that started to run down his face. Even if he told himself he had no reason to do so. It was something he couldn't help and yet it was another thing he hated. Being helpless. Like right now.
As Leo found himself in his current position, back up against the fridge, he found his mind or his thoughts was rational enough to process what he was doing. Enough to not but not to stop. His mind and his emotions seemed to like to contradict each other. He would feel how he didn't think to feel and that seemed like how it often was when he found his emotions got out of hand. It made no sense that he was doing what he was doing. Actually crying?
He found it hard to believe as well but his face was wet and he couldn't deny it. He didn't want to be here anymore. That was the thought that came to mind suddenly. He didn't want to feel suddenly cornered, he did in a way now, with no where to go. Now don't think location. He referred to his emotions. He couldn't get away from them or the memories and he tried to will away everything. Just things referring to himself. The two unexpected guests had nothing to do with it. Well, not the youngest one at least.
The older male however helped trigger this very unwanted reaction. So very much so it seemed it was just enough to make the current Leo take leave with his eyes suddenly shut tight as if closing them off to all that was around him would do anything.
It was mere seconds after Leo opened his eyes did his expression change, one that had been of both fear and confusion all mixed with the sudden barrage of sadness he felt, to one that showed he suddenly very upset. Of course this was the other Leo now and not the one who seemed far too easily frightened he away. He looked quite upset with his tear stained face as he found his gaze intently set on the male he had come to know as Kobe. He considered saying something a bit too harsh but just as he parted his lips to do so he found himself stopping. Instead he merely frowned before speaking. "Didn't I tell you not to touch me." Really, it was spoken in a chiding tone.
Unlike the other Leo who found relative peace with knowing nothing of what happened when the other Leo took place the Leo now present was all too aware of what happened around him even in his absence so his reason for being was all too well known to him. But at the same time he wasn't so upset at the other male. The way he had been held didn't go unnoticed to him.
While the other Leo couldn't process the actual hold itself, more so just the reason why it bothered him, he had some liking towards it. Didn't quite know what to make of it himself, but liked it nonetheless. It would be the first time for Leo in general to had been held in such a manner. At least the only thing that could be compared to such was the memories of a deceased person and that wasn't something he cared to think on either.
Now that he was here he would have to take up where the other Leo left off and he refused to do so in the same state he was in. Already he moved off from the fridge but he didn't move back in the embrace that Kobe had him in. Although it would be a lie to say he didn't desire to do so. It really was odd to him. Though normally he would encourage such anyways this was a feeling he found was shared with his other half and such wasn't very common.
Especially when it came to being close to others. Something that was usually discouraged greatly by the no longer present Leo. It had the current one wondering what it was about him that made him feel so. He already thought to go with the fact he seemed like he was in a sci-fi movie. He supposed anything was possible.

Kobe could have held Leo to him for an eternity. The boy just seemed so sad and he was desperate to make those feelings go away. He didn’t know what it was that made Leo so…unhappy, but he was determined to find out. He’d do so in a moment. Right now he was just wanted to hold Leo close. He wasn’t surprised or dismayed when the human didn’t return the affection, knowing that the boy was uncomfortable beyond imagining. This was another thing that confused Kobe. Did Leo not like hugs? Of course he hadn’t wanted to be touched, but it was obvious that the human needed to be comforted. Kobe couldn’t make head nor tail of Leo’s emotions, only knowing that none of the boy’s feelings were not good. In Kobe’s experience, people generally liked to be comforted when they where feeling so poorly, so why not Leo?
The shock at having the human move so suddenly from him amounted to an almost physical pain. Leo was obviously still hurting, so why did he back away? Kobe knew that if he had understood Leo better, he would have known the reason for the boy’s resistance. Midnight eyes met a familiar blue and Kobe nearly cried himself when he saw Leo’s eyes glistening with tears. Kobe tried not to make Leo feel cornered but it was hard in the tiny kitchen. He was just so big while Leo…was much to small. Kobe would never have harmed him in any way though and would have readily let the boy pass, just as he let Leo push away from the hug. Kobe was all gentle strength, a person who could protect and also love.
“Gods Leo.” Kobe whispered. He reached for the boy then, the urge to comfort to strong for him to ignore. How could he with the way that Leo looked. “Don’t cry. I should die if you cried.” Reaching up with a wide hand, Kobe set if tenderly against the softness of Leo’s cheek, moving to wipe a few of the tears with his thumb. What was he going to do? How was he to fix something that was so obviously…broken?
With a suddenness that he hadn’t expected, Leo’s scent changed yet again. If he would have to notice a difference, one smell was more sweet and the other spicy. Niether were bad smells and Kobe very much liked the individual scents, however, the change in Leo vexed him. He looked seriously at the boy backed against the fridge and noted the sudden change in facial expressions. Leo looked the same, but was somehow not. Before Leo had explained it somewhat to Kobe, but that had just left him more perplexed. Would this new Leo answer his question?
When Leo moved from the fridge, Kobe backed up, almost as if he were wary of what the human might do. “I…” Kobe trailed off, searching for the words. “I’m sorry.” He said at length for the millionth time to the current Leo’s comment. “You were just so sad that I couldn’t help it. Are you different again?” Not really thinking, Kobe stretched out a hand towards Leo, barely inches from touching the boy’s chest. A breath would have brought them together. Kobe didn’t move for a moment, as if trying to get a hold on Leo’s very self. The boy’s emotions even seemed different now.
“I don’t understand what is going on.” Kobe cocked his head, dropping his hand to his side. He wanted to hug Leo again, but knew it would be unwanted contact. “You, or he, said it was something to do with being in a position like last night? Was it because you’re afraid? Do I frighten you? Your sudden changes are making me very vexed. Do you know that you smell different?” Perceptive and curious as always, the questions flooded from Kobe’s mouth. He wanted to understand this important thing about his mate. How were they to get any close if he couldn’t keep track of these…different Leos. How many were there anyways?

Leonardo could have sighed aloud now, simply aggravated if not just annoyed, due to his overall situation. Not simply because he was confused as well, a bit less at least then the other Leo, but because he didn't understand things either. But then that all centered around confusion didn't it. Well, he would figure something out. He was determined to. Which was a reason to keep him where he was now. Not that he was the type to run away. He never ran away from anything. He just made the best of it. Once again the reason he wasn't the one to have run off to eventually find himself living here. It was never something he regretted though. No, he didn't know how things would be if he wasn't here and hadn't met that fellow named David. He had some idea but he could only imagine things would have eventually taken a turn for the worse. Even if was present more often then not. But not even he cared to think about it. He didn't care to think on it but he had a much easier time going over it without some emotional breakdown. Which was another reason he was here. The other Leo clearly didn't do well in such situations either. If that wasn't the case he wouldn't be here now.
A frown was clearly still noted on Leo's features. He felt when Kobe wiped the tears he had staining his face. He didn't really mind it. He had no problem with it at least. He would have eventually done something similar or left it as it was. At the moment he was currently trying to figure out his current situation. Which didn't mean lingering on what happened. No, he liked to move forward. Which meant he was just going to keep going with what the other Leo was doing before he was interrupted. However looking at Kobe it seemed he wouldn't just be forgetting what happened. He could hope he did but he could see himself that wasn't going to be the case. Why the other male cared was beyond him though. Perhaps because there was really less then a handful of people who cared for him but considering that meant lingering on the past which was not something he felt the need to do even after what happened. This however was going to be a bit of a problem.
Given the chance Leo had to consider what he should do to...reconcile what occurred with his other half. He however had no ability to talk to his other self. The fact that the other Leo didn't seem to even care to figure out what the blanks in time meant, not exactly what happened during them or why it happened but how it went about happening, said something to anyone who noted the details. He was the only Leo that knew there was more then one. The other Leo, the one not present, was only aware of the facts and didn't consider that there was another Leo, the one present now, that took over in particular situations. Something he was rather miffed about at one point in time. Who wouldn't when they were only called upon in undesirable situations. This however wasn't exactly undesirable, just a bit annoying. He had wanted the chance to come out anyways so this wasn't bad. He just honestly didn't like the way the other Leo retreated like that. It made him wish he could give himself a firm talking to.
It seemed Leo had gotten lost in his thoughts briefly when he heard or rather noted first Kobe's movements and then heard his apology. He was a bit upset but he couldn't stay that way. Though it was at a loss to the other overwhelmed Leo, clearly seeing as he was present now, it wasn't lost on him. That the man he met last night, this Kobe fellow, was in no way harming him but simply trying to make him feel better perhaps. He was only at a loss as to why. That was his only question. Perhaps he could make the other Leo at least understand something if he figured it out himself. The present Leo just didn't feel this Kobe was any threat so what happened seemed entirely...uncalled for. He didn't really care for how the other Leo reacted here. If he was going to try to spend time with him though, as much as he could, it wasn't exactly a bad thing to be able to come out. Well, who was he kidding. Him coming out wasn't usually due to any good reason.
As if to prove Leo's previous thought he heard Kobe speak something similar to what he had been thinking. The question that came with it nearly made him chuckle or at least smirk but he didn't really feel up to it. He supposed the other Leo's feelings were somewhat muffling his own. At least for the moment. He wasn't sure if it was due to the fact he just came out or perhaps the other Leo's feelings were just that strong. If the latter was the case he really had to do something about it. Something he figured he would need the other male to assist with. As soon as he figured out how to do that and if he was around that long. That was definitely something to consider. However he couldn't quit do so at the moment with Kobe here still.
"I am different, like last night." Leo spoke this, considering he should answer the question asked before. He noted the movement Kobe made. He made no move to back up from him. He also noted it sounded like the older male was confused. Well, he didn't think anyone but a psychologist or whoever it was that worked with the mind would understand him. Not that he cared to deal with that. As far as he was concerned he just need to fix a few things with himself and then he would be fine. Meaning he wasn't quite so now. But he was managing. He always did that. It was just the best he could do and his current self did just make the best of things. He just never had anyone there who could really help him out to do anything differently. Even he didn't think to open up to just anyone.
"I'm not sure why." Leo began after hearing the many questions Kobe asked. "I feel I can...interact with you more so then others." He was trying to say that he didn't quite feel as apprehensive as he did as he did around others. Or at least referring to his other half. He at present was always fine with whatever came his way and no matter who it was with. He wasn't sure what this change in scent thing was about. If that was true he never noticed. Not like he had been that close to anyone really to have them smell him like that. "I was afraid last night and you did frighten me but you didn't frighten me." It was ab it confusing so he supposed he had to give a bit more information on himself. "You didn't scare the me at present but the one who I actually didn't want you to touch." Now he referred to himself through the other Leo. If that was understandable he wasn't sure. "I suppose it is confusing." He spoke thoughtfully looking away for the moment with his sapphire blue orbs slightly glistening from the the tears he shed moments ago. He wondered how he should go about explaining himself. Wasn't he suppose to be doing something else? He supposed he'd quickly get this out of the way so he could return to other things.
"I, the Leo you see before you, don't mind touching you or doing any sort of...acts of intimacy with you." Leo wasn't sure how to start explaining it to Kobe so he started off like that. "Then there is the other Leo." He spoke, frowning a bit once more as he thought to put it all into words. "The one who woke up this morning and then left recently when I came forward." He wondered if that made since. He imagined it still did not. If anyone else heard this he was sure they would think him crazy or at least having mental problems of some sort. Which may not have been that far off. "He's far more...fragile." He paused before considering something else. "That's how I put it and he doesn't like to be touched." That was how it was really. He didn't think to put in a way that seemed to focus all on him. The Leo present was definitely different from the Leo that had just been there.
Considering what just happened Leo thought to say something on the matter. "It's not you exactly." He wanted to let Kobe know that it wasn't precisely him that caused anything. "It's something or rather someone else." He really didn't care to say anymore but he hated when people were vague with him so why should he. He was just short of just coming out and saying exactly why he was the way he was now. "From my past and I suppose the other Leo will never get over it." It really looked like that. Not something he liked. Especially if he wanted to do something that would need both of them to be into it. "I'm not sure how long I'll be here." He had a good idea he'd be here for the better part of the day. "But while I'm here." He trailed off wanting to do something he actually had the desire to do. Whether due to exact difference between him and the other Leo, with the difference in behavior and such, or due to the way Kobe was. Either way he moved forward without a moments hesitation and for the second time locked lips with the older male. He very much wanted to linger there. With the kiss and to simply remain in his warmth. How odd. It was to him. Perhaps it was because he had been by himself for so long. Considering the last time he was touched in any intimate was was far from gentle and wasn't entirely wanted. Although sex wasn't the most prominent thing on his mind. It's be a lie if he said it wasn't somewhere up there but it wasn't up front now.
What was it about this guy that had him not sure about anything. He usually was. It was a bit disconcerting but only in a bothersome way. He had no fear of this guy unless he purposely thought to instill such in him. So far he hadn't done anything to really scare him. Perhaps his other half without a doubt but not him. Maybe that would change but he just found himself doubting that. He didn't know why. Perhaps it was just the way he was, he didn't exactly fear anyone, he didn't think to back down from anyone no matter what the reason. He just didn't have the option to. If he didn't stand up then no one would. He had to do it on his own and he was far stronger in the department then his other half was. The Leo not present who could barely hold out against the man he found he was warming up to a bit in more then just his normal lasciviousness. Something he definitely wanted to better understand but he didn't think he had time to.
Considering time, it did come to mind, everything else around them came into play here. That thought was enough to have Leo reluctantly pull back from the larger male. He said nothing at first with his blue gaze suddenly looking off to the side, not at random though, actually looking to spot the youth. What was he doing now? It was funny in way, or maybe not, he held some concern for the toddler. "The breakfast I made you will get cold and I still need to go out." He wasn't changing the topic now. He didn't care whether they talked about it more or not. The point here was that all he said was happening. "And you need to mind Ferris." Really, he didn't want the toddler wandering off and hurting himself. Not that there was anything here to do so but a child could get into trouble with just about anything. He noted that he spoke as if he cooked but as far as he was concerned he had though it was really the other Leo who did. They made it with the same hands and they shared the same knowledge on foods. He knew all the the other Leo knew but it didn't go the same way the other way around but that was a good thing.
"I'll go out and come back as soon as possible." Leo said this not thinking to really stand around and converse. If anything they could talk later. Hopefully if he was still around. "I was hoping that Ferris may be able to consume the oatmeal I made if he is interested or can consume anything other then milk." He considered the bowls he placed on the table that had the oatmeal in it. "Children eat it and it's healthy so I just thought he might like what I surved in the bowl." He referred to the oatmeal. He was never into it though. Not that it tasted bad. It just wasn't his thing. He considered it for a moment before brushing it aside and thinking to say something at random. "You know I think I can like you but I'm not sure about the other Leo." This was said with a bit of a frown as he case his sapphire blue gaze back on Kobe. He was going to simply turn and walk off now. To get ready and leave but he found himself lingering just a bit longer in the larger males warmth. It really was quite confusing but he could only manage so much with how the other Leo was.
