He was as beautiful as he had been dancing, and when he'd seen him as a younger man. "Hello, Raimi," he spoke. "I understand you are not yet of age to service as a concubine?" He asked, knowing it to be true, but wanting to hear his voice.

Just that look was nearly enough to undo him. "Speak, I want to hear your voice. To see if it is as pleasing as I remember," He leaned back, his lips twitching.
"I remember you when you were all knees and running errands for my mother. Stil so young, but the King wanted you in the harem anyways. I trust your family is well takn care of?"

He couldn't...! I---t... So all of this had been his fault....? And the Former King...he...he liked him.... He didn't want to betray him...

His brows furrowed and he lay his chin on his fist. "Why are you sorry? There is no need to be sorry. I will be keeping you here. You may go now." He would gladly have had Raimi in his presence longer, but he would give the other time to think. He still had a few more concubines to speak to.

It took another hour before he was completely done. There were about 10 or so concubines that would be leaving on the morrow. He would have them set up in one of the available buildings in town, and compensated.
The others...he would carefully choose whom was to bear his heirs. Raimi would be his High-mate, he was determined. That would mean holding off on claiming any of the others' until Raimi came of age.
He stood and moved back into the harem, commanding silence. "Those that will be leaving have another night here in the palace. You may gather your things, they're yours, and I will have you escorted to place you'll be taken care of, and given shelter." That was all he had to say, nothing more..
Zadkael nodded and turned to go, drawing the purple curtain closed behind him. He nodded o Cadfiel, before walking off to take care of his rooms.

"Wow...the Harem will be so empty..." Khalil said, brow furrowed a bit. He looked to Raimi and tried to get his attention, then sighed. "Hey... Muna's going away, right?? At least you won't have anyone trying to trip you on your way to the bath, right?"
He shrugged a shoulder.
He pouted a bit, "Hey, what's wrong? You're staying, right?"
Raimi nodded.
"Then what's wrong? Is it that you don't like the new King?"
"..it's...he...he told me that he challenged Bagn...one of the reasons was me...that he wants me to be his High Mate..."
"Wh---what!?" he almost screeched, all eyes on him. He blushed and gave a small laugh before almost pouncing on Raimi. "Shhh!! Don't say such things!!! First off, that's treachery, and second of all... the words 'High Mate' in here right now is just... They shouldn't be said at all!!"

"S...Majesty, we've moved all of your things in the Grand chambers...we don't know how you like things, so perhaps you could-"
"I'll do it. You are dismissed. It's fine," he assured the bumbling servant, and let the others pass before stepping into the room. All of Bagn's things were gone, but the illows and sheets and curtains remained. He walked about them once, before turning to order a servant back. He would need a few larger pillows and clean sheets. After he asked for them, he turned away to begin.

Zadkael looked over his shoulder at him, before nodding. "Have Raimi come," He requested. He wanted more time in his company. True, he'd not had a partner in his bed for awhile now, due to his duties as General, but he was sure tomorrow and the next day would be fraut with duties, and he had no desire to be tired.
///3 Days Later///
Zadkael closed the door to his rooms on the day. No wonder Bagn had aged so quickly, or so it seemed. This job was fraught with so many things he had to do. From ordering ter servants their jobs of the day to hearin the problems of the people. He needed a bed partner, and since it was the end of the week, when he called upon Raimi, it would not be for reading, or a dance.
He'd called uon the boy nearly every night just to speak to him. Only once had he called on another, and that had been Raimi's friend in the harem. He was still learning names, and it ould take awhile, but he would get it.
A servant came in to test the water of his bath, declaring it safe so that he may relax in the water. He did so, stripping completely, welcomingthe warmth, and beckoning to the servant.
"Have Cadfiel bring Raimi to my chambers," he requested.

The servant blinked, and mumbled a small 'Yes, Majesty' before he hurried out, relaying the message to Cadfiel.
Cadfiel frowned slightly. The new King had requested Raimi every night, although he had not yet taken him... But tonight... Raimi had come of age today...
Would the new King be taking him for something other than a Concubine? It was strange...
He moved into the room, "Raimi." he called, everyone growing quiet, a few Concubines shooting glares at the youngest. "His Majesty has requested you once more. Get ready."
He bit his lower lip. What would the new King do...? He...he didn't want... "...I---I don't...feel well...tonight..." he murmured softly.
"If that is the case... His Majesty has still requested you, and if you do not go one of us will not be living come morning."
No one knew how Zadkael worked... What he'd do... What his temper was like should he be disobeyed. It would be at least a year before the staff stopped walking on eggshells.
He nodded a bit and stood, moving to the bath to get ready.
Before long he was ushered by Cadfiel into the King's Chamber.

Zadkael was still lounging in the bath when he heard Raimi step into the rooms. He could not see him for the curtains, but called out to him anyways. "Come it near the bath, i'm nearly done," he called, leaning to reach for a towel that had been left, waist deep in the still hot water.
