“Your not much of an inconvenience. Tchieadec has been waiting for an excuse to return to the cat planet for a while anyway.” Pausing, Xhaies looked at the other’s occupied figure and sighed. So many people were just so inhuman these days. No pun intended biologically speaking.
“You are not taking up much space and or materials; contrary to which actually, you turned the offer down.” Looking through the pane the Dragonis’ sighed softly and entered another code, feeling the air displacement system kick in to propel. “No matter your seemingly ungracious personality.”

Corwin ignored the chatter that the other was making, only waiting for it to die down for a chance to speak up. “No matter what Xhaies might be saying, he is right about you not being an inconvenience. Seeing as you have work to do, I’ll leave you be.” Considering for a moment, he sighed and shook his head. This was getting too confusing. Maybe the other was right and he did need sleep but…
“If Xhaies gets to be too chatty, then just hit the green rune on the chair by your elbow and ask for a room to work in. Same goes for any materials that you should need.” Finally heading for the door and snagging his forgotten book, he looked back at the two. For some reason he felt the sudden urge to warn the other. “If Xhaies starts to ask questions that might be on your personal ‘things people should not ask’ list, such as sexual status and whatnot, I would advise to find one of those aforementioned rooms. Otherwise he will start the usually despised act of plotting.” With that said, and ignoring the sputtering coming from Xhaies, Corwin left the room, already feeling the impending headache.

"I doubt he would be interested..." Aviar asnswered quietly as the other left, then he turned his gaze to the other, "I appologize if I seem..... Anti-social and or ungracious. I truly am thankful that you could lend me aid, please believe that... But upbringing in my family was strict. I am not to use anything that was not given to me personally by my family or a messenger of my family. Rules of my house, I could drop in rank should I accept any offer of material belongings." He said softly, his mind turning off of his mission for the brief appology... He set his pen and graphing paper back into his sack, highly tempted to pull out his sketching book and draw, but knowing better then that... He sighed inwardly, gods how his fingers itched to draw... He wasn't good at it, but he thought it a better idea then to just start humming... How terribly unprofessional that would be...
Aviar glanced at his bag, so many things he wanted to check on, to make sure he truly had not forgotten the important things... But he couldn't not with someone else standing in the room, no, this person might ask questions about the people in his pictures, about the photograph he carried.... Or about the musical instrument he was trying to learn how to play... No, he could not risk his lighter secrets getting out, the ones that would prove him childish... Even if he was only a child still...

The grin slid off of Xhaies’ dark face and he pursed his lips in contemplation. Coming to a quick decision, he keyed in the auto course before turning to the other. He didn’t want to interrupt the other, but… “You do not have to thank us. Neither of us would have left you there in any circumstances. Yet still, you don’t have to apologize or explain yourself. Your obviously both a private being and blood bound. You need not worry about anything on this ship, should you have the need.”
Turning back to the screen, the dragonis’ wondered at his actions. He had wanted to say more but for some reason it would not come out right. Sighing softly, he regained control. “If you need privacy, or even just the illusion of privacy, nothing has to be seen or said outside of your personal spacing.”

"No.... It's alright...." He said softly, reaching his hand into his bag.. "I don't really care who knows or see's. I would be foolish to think I should." He pulled out the picture of him, his sister and his cousin... He was standing in the middle, looking about ten years younger, holding his sister who looked a few year younger then him in his arms with his cousin who was older then him, but still shorter bopping him on the head with one of his study books that he'd been neglecting.... It brought a smile to his face, it had been a long time since he'd seen either of them... And he be seeing them soon... That made him happy....
Placing the picture back in he pulled out his sketching pad, and went to a page that was empty, though he was starting to run out...and began carefully sketching what he thought his sister might look like now... He wasn't very good, but that was why he never showed anyone what he did in the little brown-bound book....

Xhaies didn’t pry, rather just concentrated on the space traveling. Tchieadec was pressing to get to Zerca, though Xhaies had no idea why. The ship was humming pleasantly about the young man sitting next to him, so no harsh feelings there. Maybe reflecting the other’s emotions? It was a close thought, though Xhaies wasn’t about to skim their guest’s mind to find out.
A member of the crew that came barreling though the door interrupted Xhaies’ introspective thoughts. “Sir! Th- The Capta-”
Xhaies cut in before the idiot could humiliate himself further. “The Capt’in is asleep, with his room locked, coded, and totally sealed because you idiots are running to him for every single mishap you cause.” Really, the Dragonis’ had no idea why Corwin didn’t just drop the entire crew, either by firing or the figure the statement suggests.
“In the case of something needed, you don’t go running to the Capt’in, Airman. But rather, your senior member; so, pray tell, why are you not addressing whatever the problem is with Mueller?”

Aviar didn't look up when the crew member came barreling... He continued drawing, His sketch was turning out ok.. But it was nothing to ooooh or awweee about... He pushed red-black locks back behind his shoulder as emerald eyes scrutinized over his work... He sighed and closed the book... He really needed something better to do then sit around and draw... He.. He didn't know... He really didn't.... He just needed to do something dammit...
Aviar stretched carefully, maybe he should change cloths... After all, he was only in combat boots and a pair of pants... He probably needed to get suited up for when he met with whoever he'd be on board with when he got to Zerca... Maybe he'd lay low for a day or two first... Just to make sure no one was really pissed... After all... He really didn't want to deal with his grandparents.. And he knew he'd only have about a week to think about what to tell them once he got on board with his cousin or sister.....

At the ‘urgent’ behest of his crew, Corwin walked back into the dock room, idly combing his fingers though his hair as he walked. It didn’t surprise the golden eyed male that he was called, as much of the new recruits were jumpy and really made him wonder why he had signed them on.
Sighing softly, he keyed in the code to enter the dock. His eyes immediately landed on Tchieadec’s newest addition; he was someone that confused Corwin, though the redhead was hesitant to say an enigma, the other’s presence called out to him in an odd way. And, however much Corwin wanted to find out about their recluse guest, he wouldn’t lower himself to hacking out the file, or having Xhaies read the information on the other out to him.
He heard the new recruit stutter out the problem to Xhaies, he couldn’t contain the groan. Tchieadec woke him up because some idiots didn’t know how to handle the filing system properly? He collapsed in the chair, watching idly as Xhaies snapped at the young male for wasting time before giving curt instructions on how to work it.
As soon as the boy was out of the dock room premises, Corwin let out the words he was holding in. “That one I won’t be recommending to Space Technology Recruit, no matter how much he pleads. Xhaies,” He paused long enough for his mentor’s eyes to land on him, “Write out an entry form to the reeducation district of P198-3778, and send all new recruits to be reevaluated and put to the same establishment should they be in need of it.”
It wasn’t as harsh as most people under Captaincy would have done. Most would have just pushed them off the ship with minimum pay at the end of the contract and never look back, so Corwin didn’t feel guilty about sending maybe seven to twelve assorted beings to two – plus – more years of education on Space travel.
Corwin watched as the other did that before turning to once again study Aviar, though he did not interrupt the others concentrated drawing. Yes, not quite an enigma, but… Shaking his head, he stood up, moving the open window, staring out through the glass as he listened to his dark skinned companion’s mutterings. ‘A ‘but’ indeed.’

Aviar glanced up before rather quietly offering his own oppinion and hoping that the captain wouldn't see him a nusience and shove him out into space as he knew his father would have done to a guest about to make the same statement... "Looks as though you could use some better trained crew members.... If you don't mind my saying." Peircing eyes glanced cautiously around the room before returning to his art.....
He wrinkled his nose he'd been sketching the tall thin man who was acting as his babysitter. -And though he couldn't blame them, he also couldn't help but feel that he was not the most dire situation on the ship.- Had moved, that was annoying... He'd lost the way he'd been tilting his neck... 'stupid ignorant...' he didn't allow himself to finish the thought as he glared in the general direction that the stupid boy who'd claimed the serious problem had dissapeared towards....
Aviar wasn't surprised though. This man didn't seem to be the meaniest of captains, meaning there were probably only two kinds of crew he could obtain... Members that came out of friendship and undying loyalty, like Xhaies who actually had a clue. And members who were straight out of a school for whatever field they were interested or forced into... Like the boy who'd burst in only a few minute ago. Made his head hurt that people like that existed... And of course, he would call anyone younger then himself whether physically or mentally a boy.

Xhaies glanced up from the screen at the statement, taking in, with much amusement for the Dragonis, the irritated expression crossing Corwin’s face. He wasn’t too worried though, as his protégé wasn’t emitting dangerous unhealthful threats in his head at their guest.
Turning back to the screen, he pulled up those reports, quickly typing in the proper information on each crewmember being sent off. It was sad that so few people actually signed up for a general love of space these days, much preferring the convenience that was the result of said ships.
“I have plenty of good crew members.” He heard the sharpness in the redheads voice and winced. The other needed sleep... Hm. That gave him an idea. Pausing in his typing, he turned to observe the Captain. “But as Tchieadec is under trade agreement, I can’t do a thing about it when interim crew are placed here for evaluations.”
Hasn’t blown his top yet, actually seemed to be calming down. Darned. Xhaies’ had been looking forward to forcing the boy into a state of sleep. “If I fill my ship up with hand chosen crew, then the director and or undersecretary of the interplanetary trade division I hold contract to will throw a fit because they have to place them somewhere, and thus they need us ‘lowly merchants’ to do the job.”

"Lowly merchants?" He raised a slender eyebrow. He'd seen what merchant ships could do if someone was behind the steering who knew something about combat, and neither the captain nor this Xhaies seemed to shy about the subject, not that they acted like militant force, they just seemed good and competent....
He kept pretty much quiet though, after all, he knew he needed to stay out of the way, and words more then anything could get him in the way. He would just be sure to be careful about what he said.
He yawned slightly... Not that he was tired, just physically fatigued from doing literally nothing to stretch his muscles at all in the last few weeks... After all, his peanut of a ship had not had much room for excercise....

“Yes, ‘lowly merchants’ is what some think to call us. Not outright, mind, but the thought is there.” Shifting his position from a slouch to sitting upright, Corwin raised an eyebrow in question at the Dragonis. Said male shook his head before turning back to what he’d been doing previously.
“And besides which, it wouldn’t be good for their health if they had no hold on us; you see, there are some paranoid ones whom are of the opinion that we will turn to pirating the moment we have enough influence and control over ourselves.”

"Pirating? That's kind of an old thing to accuse someone of nowdays.." He said sitting back and crossing his arms over his chest. "Whoever these people are, they don't sound extremely intellegent." He said unconscernedly. He was unsure if any of what he said would be taken as offensive. He hoped not, no reason to offend the people giving him a hand...
Aviar closed his eyes quietly. Black hair fell around his shoulders and face, he didn't really want to get involved in other peoples affairs, but idiots urk him pretty badly, and he couldn't help...
