Legs cramping from being crossed in front of him to prevent...indecency, Aziz could only produce a short laugh in response to his mate's comments about his sister. It didn't seem that the other youth actually understood his words about getting dressed because the brunette's back didn't turn away. Either that or Aubrey just didn't care.
Well, I suppose since that is not the best option, I'll get dressed than," he said after a moment. Again, the younger didn't turn, so Az made the executive decision that Aubrey simply didn't care. Then again, why should they when they were mates...Right?
That decided, the redheaded hybrid stood from his crouched position and began slipping on his boxers. Looking down to pull on get his pants on, he asked, "So, I'm going to assume that stuff like this doesn't happen that much on Earth? I have read a lot about your culture and stuff here, but there are still things that I don't know."

Honestly, Aubrey hadn't even made the connection that for his mate to get dressed, he would have to stand up. So, when Aziz actually stood, Aubrey was surprised for a second, the blush coming back to his face. The poor boy was far too innocent for his own good, sometimes. He still didn't turn around completely, instead swiveling about thirty degree to the side to look across the room at a random, unimportant spot on the wall.
"What do you mean?" Aubrey asked, looking back to his mate out of the corners of his eyes briefly. Oh, right, "Oh, well, I say it probably doesn't happen all that often. It doesn't happen to me personally, at least."
The human teen turned back once he'd noticed that Aziz had secured his pants, giving the other a smile. This was much better. Shirtlessness was something Aubrey could handle well. Actually, he could've handled the nudity, too, if it hadn't caught him off-guard, of course. But, that little situation had passed, leaving Aubrey in the room with quite a nice piece of shirtless eye candy, even if the other was only going to be shirtless for a moment or two before he pulled on the clothing article again. This was definitely better.
"So, you know a lot about Earth?" Aubrey asked, pulling his legs up and folding them so that he was sitting indian style in the chair, leaning forward on his arms a bit with his hands resting on one of his ankles, "What's about Sensaforia, then? I mean, what are the people like and what does it look like? It sounded nice when you mentioned it earlier."

Az smiled and crossed his legs to get more comfortable. "Yes, I know a decent amount about Earth, but I know even more about Sensaforia...considering it's my home planet and all. The main people who live there are Sensaforian Humanoids, though there are others," he said, shrugging. "There are others who move there to live with their mates, like my father did. There's more Zercans, Parinenains, and Mentisquarians that stand as Sensaforians mates though. My dad was just lucky, I guess."
What else to tell Aubrey? Living on only one planet for a long time makes the planet in question seem a lot more boring than it probably was. "The land...is tropical. Warm in most places and kind of humid in others. A lot of it is water too. My lifebearer used to own a boat and we would go out on the oceans sometimes. Do you like going out on the water?"
He paused before tilting his orange head to the side. "What else do you want to know about? I don't know what exactly to tell you unless you are more specific."

"I've never been, actually," Aubrey shrugged, "My mother and I were planning to go to the beach once for summer vacation, but I guess we never got around to it."
Most of the time, Aubrey didn't care to mention his mother. Not only were there a few painfully lost memories associated with the subject, but the forced sympathy he usually got was unbearable. It wasn't as if he liked people making themselves feel sorry for him. He didn't need the sympathy either, fake or genuine. But, he didn't seem to mind talking about her if he was talking to Aziz. He knew the other wouldn't force fake sympathy on him. Maybe it might've even been good for him. It wasn't something that he liked to talk about, and it was too hard for Amelie to understand. So, he'd pretty much kept his thoughts to himself over the years and moved on. He honestly couldn't recall the last time he'd mentioned his mother, but he knew it had been quite some time ago.
"But, anyway, it really does sound nice. I like it in big cities as much as the next person, but it gets really cold up here in the winter and I can't stand the cold. Going somewhere tropical sounds amazingly nice. Besides, I've never been to the beach and I want to see if it's really as pretty as everyone says it is," He smiled at the thought of living in a place where you didn't have to have a coat on constantly for half the year. Though, the thought of a beach visit with his mate sounded even more enjoyable, "But I can't think of anything else to ask, really. It sounds great and I can barely stand to wait as it is."

Az smiled happily. This was nice. His mate genuinely sounded happy about visiting his homeplanet and it was making the redhead just as excited to show the brunette his home as Aubrey wanted to see it.
"Hm. Well, I just got a small apartment...So that's where we'll live. It's near the beach, actually. Not exactly on the beach, but if you look out the window, you can see the ocean. My parents purposely choose that apartment for the view, I think. I paint and the beach is great for inspiration," he said, chuckling.
"Speaking of, you'll have to meet my parents and my brothers. I think you'll like them...What about your family? Will I get a chance to meet them or should I not? I know that things are a lot more different on Earth..."

"Well, you've pretty much met my family as it is," Aubrey shrugged, "Amelie's the only family I have close by. My mother's dead and my dad, as well as most of my extended family, all live across the ocean in France. Even relative on my mom's side live quite a long way away."
He didn't even really consider his father part of his family anymore. The boy really didn't care for him much. There was a small, unreasonable bit of dislike between him and his father. Well, it was more one sided, as Aubrey's father was more appathetic towards his son than hateful. But, Aubrey just didn't like the man. He hadn't seen him in years. The last he'd heard from him was years ago when he had once sent letters to both he and Amelie whenever he sent them money. But, he'd long since stopped that practice, not that it meant much to the teen in the first place anyway.
"If you really want to meet Amelie, though, me and her were supposed to watch a movie tonight. You could join us, if you want," Of course the boy sounded a bit hopeful, but he shrugged one of his shoulders, "If not, I'll tell her something came up. We could stay here in my room or go out somewhere or something. Whatever you want to do is fine."

Az nodded happily at the suggestion and the hopeful tone in Aubreyvoice. "Thank you. I'd be honoured to meet your sister...Properly, that is. I'm sorry that the others live to far to do so," he said with an apologetic smile before brightening.
"Oh! What am I going to wear?" he asked, tilting his head to the side. "All I have with me are these clothes and the ones on my ship...Wherever I parked that. What movie are we going to see? ...Nevermind, I don't know any current ones, so it's not like it would matter anyways. Do you think she'll like me? What are you going to tell her?" He paused before he shook his head in amusement at himself for acting so silly.
"You know, I never thought that meeting my mate's family would make me feel so anxious or stressful! The people I know all said it was, but I guess I thought they were exaggerating...I guess not though." He smiled over at the brunette. "I hope that meeting my family won't make you feel too anxious when the time comes."

"You can just wear what you've got on. It doesn't matter to me, and it's not like Amelie paid any attention to me when I went to get them, so there shouldn't be any problems there," Aubrey smiled, happy that his mate had agreed to go with him. Sure, going to the movies with his sister was fun and all, but it was more special to go on a semi-date with his mate. It made him smile just thinking about it. With a small laugh, he lifted himself out of the chair he'd been sitting at and marched over to the closet, "We'll probably go see some kind of horror movie. Admittedly, I hate them, but it was Amelie's turn to choose this time. Beggars can't be choosers, I guess. But, I really do think she'll like you, and if she asks where I met you, I'll just tell her I met you at the cafe."
As Aubrey began sifting through his closet to pick out a new set of clothes, he laughed again as his mate recited how nervous he was. Was meeting his sister really such a big deal? He couldn't see how it would possibly be that nerve wracking, but when he began to consider it in reverse--about when he would have to meet Aziz's family--he realized how potentially nervous he would be in a similar situation. Aubrey wasn't, by any stretch of the imagination, a social butterfly, so to speak. He mostly kept to himself and while he could strike up a conversation with just about anyone, he didn't go out of his way to talk to people. But, certain circumstances had the tendency to make him jittery and he guessed that meeting his mate's relatives would be one such situation. The more he thought about it, it more he desperately hoped he wouldn't stutter and say stupid things whenever the time came to make his first impression.
"You don't have to worry about Amelie. She's really social and she likes nearly everyone. You'd have to do something pretty terrible for her not to like you, that is. Just be prepared though--she's sarcastic and her sense of humor... deviates away from normal at times," Aubrey shook his head. Indeed, his sister came up with some very off-the-wall jokes sometimes. Had he not lived with her for quite a while, he wouldn't have thought she was insane. Finally finished selecting his outfit, Aubrey turned on his heels to examine the clock, "We've got about half an hour until the movie starts. It only takes about ten minutes to walk to the theater, though. But, it would raise unneccessary questions if you just walked out of my room... You could try the window--there's a fire escape just outside--and meet me down there. We should be down there in about ten minutes."
