Sometimes there were moments in your life that didn’t go as planned. Sometimes you ended up doing something you hadn’t meant to do or saying something you hadn’t wanted someone else to hear. In Ritsuka’s case, this moment had expanded into one long day. First off, he’d ended up in a planet full of hostile beings that would probably tear him open if they found out he wasn’t from this planet. Ritsuka wasn’t dumb, he’d read all the data and listened to all the gossip he could about Earth. Everything he heard hadn’t been good at all. So far he hadn’t been able to verify all he’d heard, but the planet sure seemed awful. The trees were scarce, there were way too many people around, houses were packed together tightly, and some people just gave him the chills. This was how it had begun. Of course, the worst part had yet to come. Ritsuka had ended up meeting his mate…and making a complete fool of himself. He’d acted like a child and the other probably thought of him as one. The other would never get past the fact he was fifteen. He had overreacted as usual and acted stupidly. It wasn’t like he could help it, though. The other made him this way. The other made him act dumb and silly like right now. It really wasn’t Ritsuka’s fault he was this way.
“Anou…Tsu…I don’t think we can explain this very well to you…” Ritsuka answered truthfully. “We’re…not really from around here… This planet, I mean. We got stuck here by accident and needed to find a way to fix our ship and locate our crew. Hey, that about sums it up. I guess it really was easy to explain! EH?! What did you just say?! T-That’s! Saying that sort of thing so casually… A-And… Tsu…”
It had been an unexpected love confession. Maybe it was the perfect way to end his day. Once minute he’d been trying to explain to the other why they were here and now he was trying to process just what the other’s words meant. Ritsuka hadn’t heard someone say I love you to him very often. He’d learned that to say those words, you had to actually mean them. Saying them without feeling made the words dirty and unnecessary. That’s why he didn’t know why the other could just say something like that to him. Ritsuka had thought he’d be the first to confess. Sure he wasn’t experienced, but he’d thought he could do it. Tsu had beaten him to it, though. It made him wonder what kind of person this ways. He had obviously grown up somewhere semi warm if he was able to say those kinds of words. For Ritsuka, it was the hardest thing to say. He knew he felt this way and it was obvious they were meant to be together since they were mates, but this didn’t make it any less hard. It had always felt like he had been left behind. Everyone else had already dated and done adult things while he had stayed the same. He had thought he’d never understand, but now, he understood a little about such things. Ritsuka’s home hadn’t been warm at all and it had been far from happy, so it was hard for him to say I love you casually. The only people he’d ever said those words had abandoned and betrayed him. But even so, he wanted Tsu to know how he felt, even if it meant doing something he was scared of doing.
“I…I…love…you too…” he finally choked out softly. “So…thank you for saying those words to me Tsu. They were beautiful.”
“Either way, we’re stuck here for a while,” interrupted Rei. “So we’ll need a place to crash. Since you seem so attached to my underage virgin cousin, I’m sure you’d let us stay at your home. Just be sure, I’ll be watching your every move, so don’t even think about taking my cousin’s purity.”
