Kinome shook his head, shifting the hand that was still hald by Adish nervously. "Don't worry about it. It's okay. It's unimportant anyway." Kinome tugged on his own hand, hoping Adish would release his hand so he could run to school.

Adish could see Kinome fidgeting nervously, could feel the boy's hand twisting slightly. Was he so bad? Was it so horrible to be touched by him? Adish released Kinome's hand and sighed heavily.
"I-... I'm sorry I've caused you so much trouble. I'm sorry I... I just threw myself into your life like this. I... I had no right to... I guess.... Mom was right then," he muttered softly. I am worthless, huh? Not even someone so perfect as Kinome can stand me. he thought bitterly. Knowing this ripped his heart out. He looked up at the Human sadly, "Just admit you hate me, already. I'll go somewhere else... I'm mean, there's plenty other people on this planet that I haven't harassed yet," he semi-joked.

Kinome’s eyes widened, hurt coursing though him at Adish’s words. He’d hurt Adish… even though he had been trying so hard not to. He could see that he had done so. Adish looked so vulnerable, and that knowledge in turn hurt him, though, logically, it should not have done so.
So, Kinome did the only thing he could think of. He paused, turning towards Adish and grabbing Adish near. A vague memory from years ago… a memory of his mother giving him the simple comfort was what he was basing his actions on. He embraced Adish rather awkwardly, head barely brushing Adish’s chin.
He left words unspoken. He didn’t know what to say. He didn’t even know if there was anything someone like him ‘could’ say to make things better… and so… he kept silent, simply holding Adish, the hold so awkward it was more than clear he was uncertain and had not done something like this in a very long time.

Adish was startled when Kinome latched on to him. His hear swelled at the comforting touch, but, at the same time, he went cold. Why was Kinome hugging him? The Human was obviously afraid of him, thought he was crazy, and hated him for stirring painful memories. Adish winced and let out a shuddering sigh. "I-... I don't want your pity, Kinome. I don't want you to pretend to like me, just to make me feel better. I hate people like that. Don't touch me if you don't mean it," he stated sternly, his inner self wanting nothing more than to grab the boy up in his arms and hold him tightly. This whole time, he'd just been pulling Kinome along for the ride- forcing the Human to do this and that, but he wanted to know now whether Kinome actually liked him at all. "You understand, right? I can't... I couldn't stand it if you were just pitying me. If you want to hit me, then hit me. Swing as hard as you can; I'll take it. But only hug me if you really want to hug me, you know?" he said softly, his hands itching to carress the boy.

Kinome nodded in understanding, knowing Adish was giving him the opportunity to leave, but something in Kinome fought against that idea… something fought against him leaving Adish. Even if Adish was crazy, he had somehow already managed to worm his way into Kinome’s heart and Kinome didn’t want him to disappear. He was lonely enough as it was, already. He liked Adish, crazy or not… At least Adish had yet to display ‘disturbing behaviour’, a term he had heard several times in connection with his own father. Adish had yet to hurt him. Ignoring the knowledge that Adish would be leaving him soon, leaving him to once again adjust to his lonely existence, he lightly tightened his hold on Adish, not moving to let go.

Adish smiled warmly, tightly wrapping his arms around Kinome's body. He pulled the boy as close as he could without strangling him. "D-do you want to come home with me, though? I could take you... Granted, I'd be breaking quite a few laws but... there's nothing new with that. But you would have to not tell anyone about it..." he said. Now that he knew, at least a little bit, how Kinome felt, he was back to his normal happy self, and he didn't want to leave the Human behind.

Kinome closed his eyes for a moment, allowing himself to ejoy the warmth of the embrace, practically starved for the attention. At Adish's words he reluctantly withdrew and shook his head. "I can't go anywhere. I have school, class, work and my father to take care of." He responded softly before looking up rather puzzled... "Why would it require you to break a few laws though?"

Adish sighed. "You don't have to do all that stuff! I never went to school or work, and look at me!..... Maybe I'm not the best example, though," he muttered to himself. In responce to the last question, the dragonis only laughed nervously. "Well, we're only allowed to bring Humans home if their our mates.... I mean-!... People from .... here...." He coughed a bit and blushed. "We aren't allowed to bring people from... here home with us 'cause they don't .... like us? and um..... yeah, they aren't supposed to know.... or something like that.... and .... eh..... yeah."

Kinome frowned Adish. Okay, so Adish now thought he wasn’t human… What next? Well, at least he didn’t seem to be dangerously crazy and as long as Adish didn’t hurt anyone, Kinome guessed it was all right. It really did seem like he himself was destined for the loony house though. Sometime Kinome wondered if it wasn’t he himself that was actually insane and hallucinating all these strange things.
“Of course I have to go to school and work. How else am I supposed to support myself and my father? What am I going to use to pay for the electricity, the water, the rent…. Food? Never mind things like clothes and school fees.” Kinome shook his head. Adish seemed to be very ignorant of the most basic concepts in life. “Speaking of which.” Kinome reluctantly started to walk again. “I need to get to school before I’m late.”

Adish frowned. "But... but... Kiiinnooomeeeeee!" he whined, "You're no fun at all!!!! You're so serious all the time!" He sighed heavily, his whole body slumping before he jogged to catch up with the Human. "But, I guess it's okay. I have to have someone to keep me incheck while I'm here, huh?" He laughed lightly. "Can I come to school with you? I don't think I've ever been to school before.... Momma just taught me and Eade at home."

Kinome shrugged. “I’m sorry I’m not fun.” He responded softly, remembering similar arguments from others who used to be his friends… arguments just before they abandoned him, “But it’s either accept the consequences of my mistakes or die.” Kinome remained silent for a moment, allowing the seriousness of his comment to sink in before abruptly changing topics and answering Adish’s question. “I suppose you could come to school. If you don’t get kicked out that is.”

Adish laughed. "I'll try not to! I swear I'll be on my best behavior!" he stated regally, putting a fist to his chest. He lazily put an arm around Kinome's shoulder and pulled the boy towards him. "How long do we have to stay at school, then? A long time?" He hoped not. He hated having to be on his "best behavior" and wanted it to be over as quickly as possible.

Kinome heaved a sigh, shaking his head. Sometimes he wondered… “Whatever.” He responded, walking the rest of the way in silence and discreetly slipping into the school gates. However, as discreet as he was trying to be… he was failing miserably… Kinome walking with someone else was sure to stand out… Kinome walking in with a bright nutty red-head? There was no hope…

Adish pouted when Kinome didn't answer him. Apparently, the boy didn't apreciate his jokes... ah well. The dragonis followed Kinome through a gate and on to the property of what he assumed was the school. He blinked a bit when people kept staring at them and whispering. Did he look so weird? Or was it because he was with Kinome? Ha! He'd like to see any of them try take him away from his Kinome! They'd be burnt to a crisp before they had time to realize what had happened!
Adish stopped for a second and blinked. A little possessive, huh? Calm down, Adish! Jeez!

Ignoring the stares and pointed whispers, Kinome walked towards his class, absently trailing his hand along the wall. He didn’t bother going to his locker because he carried all his books. His belongings had gotten vandalized too many times for him not to have learnt his lesson. He walked into the empty class; the bell had yet to ring, and sat down in a seat right in the back of the classroom and by the window. Leaning on the palm of his hand, elbow resting on the desk, Kinome stared blankly out the window.
