Lonely Existance(Pheonix/Cleon)

[Cleon]

Cleon chuckled. "You're welcome, beautiful," he said sofly. He scooted closer to Pheonix's side. "Did you sleep well?" he asked then began nibbling on his sandwhich again.

[Pheonix Arashi]

"Very," he blushed at the comment, nibbling at his own food for a second. "I had a dream though...it was about you...can't remember it," he said regretfully, brow furrowed in concentration. His stomach gave a very audible grow and he ducked his head in embarassment, taking a bigger bite to sate it. "Are we going to go meet your family as soon as we get there?" He asked to cover up the comfortable silence. He took another bite, more enthusiastic as sleep wore off.

[Cleon]

Cleon nodded. "Yup... well, at least my parents. I am not sure if my brothers will be there. Cad will not be there, most likely. He is always traveling somewhere," he said, waving his hands around. He chuckled to himself quietly. "But you will meet my other brothers quickly. They live nearby and do not travel much." He finished off his sandwhich and then grabbed one of the cups to drink.

[Pheonix Arashi]

Pheonix nodded, picking at the sandwich before finishing it off. He grabbed the cup off the night stand and sipped at it, enjoying the flavor of the coffee. "Mmm, Akia does a good job," he murmured, moving and curling back against Cleon. "I can't wait to meet your family. They'll be better than mine....they care about you.." he murmured whistfully. He'd promised himself he wouldn't get depressed over it again. Instead he perked up.

"What can we do now? It'll be awhile before we get there right? What do mates usually do? I showed you around so....is there anything you want to do to pass the time?"

[Cleon]

Cleon blushed lightly when a bunch of thoughts of what mates do together popped in his mind. They weren't exactly... appropriate things. Well, mates were supposed to do it but.... He shook his head mentally and smiled at Pheonix. "I don't know, is there anything you would like to do?" he asked.

[Pheonix Arashi]

He shrugged, taking another gulp of coffee before setting it aside. "Umm...we got the reading and the sleeping down," he grinned. "How about you show me around the ship...explain things to me. I've never been on a..a...space ship before," he got back up on his knees, leaning forward, hands braced on the floor.

"Will that work?" The sugar was just kicking in, turning the usually shy boy into a chatter box. No matter how much he tried to stop, he was more than comfortable around his mate and talking came easily.

[Cleon]

Cleon laughed quietly. "You're adorable," he mumbled. He nodded. "Okay, I'll give you a tour. Any place you'd like to see first?"

[Pheonix Arashi]

"Really? Umm, thanks Cleon..." He blushed and picked at the jeans over his knees...shyly taking up Cleons hand. "How about the place with all the shiney buttons? It looked pretty in there..." He splayed his mates fingers and sat fiddling with them, a small smile lighting his face.

[Cleon]

Cleon smiled when Pheonix started playing with his fingers. His mate was being very amusing right now. "The room with shiney buttons, hm?" he asked, letting a little bit of teasingness get his voice. He kissed the boy's cheek. "I will show it to you, if you promise not to press any of them. I probably would not know what to do if something happend," he chuckled.

[Pheonix Arashi]

"I won't, I promise. Although, that takes the fun out of it," he smiled and stood, pulling Cleon up with him. "Come on, I showed you how my world....works," he tilted his head. "I'm curious as to how this thing runs. I really do promise i won't touch." He smiled and tightened his hold on Cleons hand. Alas, the sugar rush was only going to last for a bit. Too bad, he wanted to see as much as he could before he got sleepy again.

[Cleon]

He tightened his hand around his mate's when he felt his hand tighten around his own. Cleon smiled. He loved seeing Pheonix this excited. "Okay, we can go then," he said lightly. He led the other boy out of the bedroom and down the hall to the control room. "So... this is the control room, where you drive the ship and everything," he explained.

[Pheonix Arashi]

"Wow...." There were so many buttons and pretty lights. He wanted to touch them all and press them to see what happened. instead, keeping to his promise he stayed back, only roaming with Cleon close by. "So you control everything for the ship in here?" He turned golden eyes to Cleon, the orbs dancing from excitement of the unknown.

[Cleon]

The Dragonis' nodded, smiling at how interested Pheonix was. "Yes, you do. On most other ships, there is an AI in the ship though that helps you navigate and tells you if something is wrong with the ship. All I have, though, is a bunch of lights and switches," he sighed. "I wish there was one in this ship," he muttered. "He would be able to explain the ways of this ship so much better for you," he said a little louder.

Cleon brushed some of his mate's firey hair out of his face. "Oh," he smiled. "If you sit over here," he said slowly while he gently leading the boy over into a small chair. "You can see outside," he finished, pointing out the medium sized window that was partially hidden by computers and other technical equipment. It was pretty boring outside if you had seen it a million times, because it was just darkness with dots that were stars. But he still found it kind of interesting, and he guessed Pheonix would find it really cool since he was from Earth....

[Pheonix Arashi]

Pheonix had heard about scientists on Earth that were trying to figure out AI technology-to build robots that would make life easier. It was neat to see that there were races out here, in space, that had already mastered what humans, the 'rulers' of the universe could not. Big rulers they were.

He sat in the appointed chair and was blown away by the view. Stars of every size and shape whipped past the window and space was as black as he'd ever imagined. "Oh......it's...it's....." He stood and making sure not to touch the computers, pressed up against the window, eyes darting everywhere to catch any detail he could. This would make a pretty neat picture and he aimed to draw it from memory.

[Cleon]

Cleon crossed his arms, watching Pheonix look out the window. An amused smile formed on his face. He knew his mate would like this view. "Amazing, right?" he said softly after a few minutes. "I spent my first hour or so on the way to Earth looking out the window. It is so... big out here. Hmm," he sighed softly. He stepped behind his mate and carefully placed his hands on the boy's shoulders lightly.
