Nathaniel felt himself relax a little. He was glad Kiegan wasn’t going anywhere. He hadn’t wanted him to leave. He supposed his actions could be a bit confusing. It was hard for him to express himself after shutting off his emotions for so long. He had been so used to hiding what he felt that he was now awkward when it came to socializing. He’d never been in this type of situation with another person before. He’d always kept himself apart from others and it had never bothered him before that he wasn’t good at communicating with others. Right now, though, he really wanted Kiegan to understand what he was feeling.
“…they all said…I had no worth…” Nathaniel whispered. “…I…didn’t like their words…”
It seemed like every time someone said something to him, it was an insult or something that wasn’t very nice. He had tried to drown out their words, but he couldn’t seem to make their words go away. They had made him cry. He used to cry a lot, but he had promised himself he’d never cry again. He had believed them. Even though he acted like he was indifferent, he had believed their words and they had hurt.
“Friends…?” Repeated Nathaniel, looking a bit confused. “I don’t have any friends…and I lied about my parents being home. I haven’t seen them in over two weeks. I’m not sure when they’ll be back…”
It was true. His parents were never around. They didn’t care. They thought his siblings were these perfect angels, but they weren’t. When his parents weren’t gone, Nathaniel could see just the kind of people his siblings were. They weren’t bad kids he supposed, but they weren’t the best people. If they had been disciplined more and had been given more attention, maybe none of them would have turned out that way…maybe he wouldn’t have turned out this way…
“I…don’t like it here…” muttered Nathaniel.

Kiegan looked horrified when Nathaniel told him that he was being told he was worthless. “Who?” He couldn’t help but growl out, a possessive streak overtaking his good sense momentarily. He wanted to kill the people that had the audacity to tell his mate that he was worthless…
Kiegan gritted his teeth, reining his temper in. This was not conductive to helping his mate. He sighed sadly. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to overreact like that. You are anything but worthless. No one is worthless. Each living creature has worth if only one takes the time to stop and look and to me you are worth more than life itself.” Kiegan declared, sitting up to once again put Nathaniel in his lap, holding him close. “Promise me you will remember that. Your parents lack responsibility to make you feel this way, to leave you. It is not your fault, but what you choose to do with your life is. Your right to choose is yours alone and not even your parents can take that from you.”
Kiegan tangled his fingers in Nathaniel’s soft hair, enjoying the soft silky feel of the strands running though his fingertips. “You are perfect just the way you are.” Suddenly he grinned cheekily drawing back to smile at Nathaniel. He quirked his eyebrows. “Do I meet approval too?”

“It doesn’t matter who they were…” whispered Nathaniel. “…I don’t want…to remember…”
It hurt to think back to all the things he’d been told. When he was younger, he’d hide under the bed. His parents used to fight a lot. He could hear them screaming at each other. They didn’t fight anymore; in fact, they hardly spoke to each other. Nathaniel had looked at their flight tickets and hotel reservations once when he was helping them pack. Their airplane seats hadn’t even been next to each other and they weren’t staying in the same hotels. Sometimes, Nathaniel thought it’d be easier on the both of them if they just admitted they weren’t happy anymore. Instead of all the lies, wouldn’t it have been easier to separate? He never did see how their logic worked.
He’s always figured he’d done something wrong. He was never able to capture their attention the way his siblings did. He was never given praise or kind words. It got to the point where he thought there was something wrong with him. He’d spent a whole month going through a medical textbook trying to find something wrong with him. He’d given up, mostly because he wasn’t sure what the book was talking about. Even though he knew Kiegan wouldn’t lie to him, he couldn’t feel but think the man was somehow wrong. What if it really was his fault?
He felt a bit better when he was in Kiegan’s lap. It seemed like he always felt better when the other touched him. He could hear the other’s heartbeat and smell his rich scent. It all made Nathaniel smile. He hadn’t smiled in a very long time, but he was actually smiling. But he knew he wouldn’t be able to be with him like this forever. He did have school and if he didn’t show up, people would get worried. They’d think he was missing and Kiegan would get in trouble. Right now, he tried to push such thoughts into the back of his mind. He almost giggled at Kiegan’s question, but Nathaniel Murasaki did not giggle.
“…you’re clumsy…and kind of a spaz…” smirked Nathaniel. “You seem disorganized and scatter brained…but I like you just the way you are anyway Tsugiru-san.”
Nathaniel leaned into Kiegan’s touch. He was pressed up against the other by now. He’d heard his brothers talking about being with girls and his sister’s being with boys, but he never thought a simple touch could feel so good. It was like his self-control was slipping. He knew Kiegan wouldn’t try anything and it made him a bit angry. He pushed that feeling aside, though. The boy had his arms around Kiegan’s waist, tracing circles on his back. His cheek was against the man’s chest as he listened to his heartbeat. He didn’t look like he was letting go anytime soon.
“Where…do you live Tsugiru-san?” The boy asked. “You don’t like you’re from Japan…and you haven’t told me about yourself yet…”

Kiegan gave a sheepish smile when Nathaniel called him clumsy and scatterbrained. His parents had always insisted it was part of his charm, telling him he need not worry about it. And so he hadn’t. He was happy the way he was and had no deep urge to be perfect or to live up to anyone’s unreasonable expectations. His parents had taught him that he should be true to himself and find joy in every situation. That advice had stood him on good steed. It was this steadfast acceptance of himself and the world around him that had made so many come to Kiegan for assistance.
Kiegan literally purred in happiness when Nathaniel moved closer arching his back into Nathaniel’s hands where the boy was tracing lazy circles on his back. He was happy with the boy in his arms. Utterly content. This was the true definition of happiness. He reached up to play with the boy’s soft silky hair. He loved the feel of Nathaniel’s hair. It was so smooth and slipped through his fingers almost as if it had a will of its own. Almost as if it were tendrils of water he could only temporarily grasp, running away in between his fingers, requiring him to capture it once again and start the process over.
His hand paused momentarily at Nathaniel’s question, motion quickly resumed as Kiegan gathered his thoughts. “Where do I live? You wouldn’t exactly believe me if I told you. About myself?” Kiegan chewed on his lip wondering where to start. “Well, for starters, I have one crazy family. I have four brothers. Two older, two younger. Kessel is the oldest. He’s already mated and moved out. Kiran and Sathiel are twins. Double trouble you might say. I was always expected to look after those two brats by my parents. Why? Because according to my parents, they adored me. Failen is still at home. He has a rather successful catering business. He’s a bit of a busybody and loves organizing big functions. He even made Mathiel have an official bonding ceremony so that he could cater for that. My parents are extremely over protective. Kale adopts anything that even remotely looks like it might need some love and attention which drives Mineru nuts. The amount of pets we permanently have at home is rather ridiculous actually.” Kiegan chuckled at the memory. “All found abandoned mind you…”

“I’m the youngest of seven…” began Nathaniel. “From the oldest, there’s: Natasha, Natsume, Natalie, Nate, Natsuki, and Nathan. They’re all really good at something…and they’ve all won some sort of award. It’s kind of hard to be noticed when you’re living in an extra long shadow.”
He had never admitted to anyone before that the reason he had stopped trying to be noticed was because of his siblings. That’s what had made him so quiet and reserved. He had gotten tired of being compared to someone else. Everyone had expected him to be someone he wasn’t and had expectations of him that he knew he’d never live up to. It had been so easy to give up. If you never succeed, no one ever noticed if everything you did was a failure. He had stopped trying to shine and concentrated on fading into the background. He had stopped caring about everything. Then, he had been forgotten. Sometimes, the whole family would go on trips and never ask him to come along. He’d be left alone with the help and locked himself in his room.
“You’re family sounds nice Tsugiru-san…” commented Nathaniel. “But it seems you are trying to dodge my earlier question. Where are you from?”
The teen had always been curious. He asked a lot of questions and didn’t like it when he didn’t receive and answer. Kiegan hadn’t answered his questions and now he had to now where the other was from. He wondered why it was a secret. Was he ashamed of where he was born? Nathaniel didn’t think he should have any reason to be embarrassed. He wouldn’t laugh at Kiegan. Nathaniel shifted in his seat and looked at Kiegan straight in the eye. He was getting the truth out of him no matter what.
“Are you going to tell me, or do I have to beg?” He asked.
His tone was series as was his expression, but Nathaniel was teasing. He was hoping to see his mate’s face turn a nice shade of red. It was actually very amusing to watch. He wondered why Kiegan was this shy around him. He had guessed the man was more experienced with these sorts of things since he was older, but it looked like this fact had turned out to be false. Still, that meant there were many things to tease him about.

Kiegan shifted uncomfortably underneath Nathaniel’s direct gaze. He could see the boy was not going to let the matter drop until he received a satisfactory answer… Only he did not know what to say. He didn’t think :Hi, I’m an alien from a planet far away: would quite cut it. So he chose to address some of Nathaniel’s earlier comments first. “You don’t have to be perfect. Everyone has something that makes them special. Just look at me. You yourself have just told me I’m clumsy and scatterbrained. That doesn’t make me worthless does it? I like you just fine the way you are actually. As long as you live your life to the fullest enjoying what you are blessed with, it’s fine. You don’t have to be the best because there will always be someone better.”
He paused, chewing his lip nervously, trying to think how he would address what Nathaniel was in actual fact demanding to know. He didn’t want to scare the boy but if Nathaniel was threatening to resort to begging, dodging this question was not an option. He sighed, returning Nathaniel’s gaze. “I’m from Zerca. A place rather far away from here you could say.” He paused once again, watching Nathaniel for a reaction. “Really, really far from here. I got a job on the tourist liner so I could see various places. It’s rather fascinating really, though learning new languages poses quite a challenge. This is by far my favorite place. I love those beautiful cherry blossom trees.”
He ran a hand nervously through his long hair, foreseeing the next question before Nathaniel managed to voice it. He suddenly looked horribly worried. “Please don’t think me insane or anything but Zerca is… anou… Zerca is…” He shifted uncomfortably underneath Nathaniel’s eager gaze, flushing slightly. “inanothergalaxy.” He finally managed in a sudden rush.

"I...like your words Tsugiru-san..." whispered Nathaniel.
It was true. No one else had ever told him such kind things before. Kiegan didn't care if he wasn't the best ant anything. Everyone had always put so much pressure on him and wanted him to be who he wasn't, yet Kiegan didn't care if he was himself. With him, he could be who he really was and not be afraid of being disliked or hated. If he was himself, that was good enough for Kiegan. He liked that. Stupid guy... He was making Nathaniel fall in love with him. He wondered why it was so easy for that man to steal his heart. He'd been working so hard to keep it hidden away, yet Kiegan had managed to steal it away so easily.
"Another galaxy..." repeated Nathaniel softly. "Is that...on another continent? Does this mean you're taking me somewhere far away?"
He actually preferred going somewhere else. It seemed like this place he called home brought him only pains. He wanted to go somewhere far away with Kiegan. Even if it was a billion miles away, he'd go. Nathaniel wasn't sure what Kiegan meant when he said he came from another galaxy, but he found that he didn't care. As long as it was far away, it'd do. He'd miss them if he left, but he wasn't sure if the feeling would be mutual. It seemed like no one would notice he was gone. He liked to think they'd worry, but somehow, he thought he'd just be deluding himself. The truth was harsh sometimes.
Nathaniel sighed a little. He shifted his weight so that he toppled Kiegan over. They both went crashing to the ground since Nathaniel was clinging to Kiegan. Nathaniel moved from his position so that he lying flat on top of Kiegan. His legs were on top on the older man's and his head was resting on is chest. He could feel the other's heartbeat as well as the rise and fall of his chest. He closed his eyes and soon, his body became limp and relaxed. Nathaniel's breathing evened out and it was obvious he was starting to fall asleep.
"Somewhere far away..." he mumbled as sleep finally consumed him.
The brunette had no intention of moving. Even in sleep, he was stubborn. His body told him he was comfortable and he wasn't moving o matter how much you wanted him to. As if to emphasize this point, Nathaniel suddenly clutched Kiegan's shirt tightly. Even in sleep, he knew what he wanted. Moving him would mean waking him up and though Kiegan hadn't learned this yet, Nathaniel became very cranky when he was sleep deprived. It was a difficult situation to be in indeed.

Kiegan winced when his head made contact with the ground. Not the most comfortable place to hit it actually, but he’d live. He sighed in resignation, watching the boy curl up on his chest and drift off to sleep. This was both a blessing and a curse. Kiegan had actually been expecting a rather violent reaction to his declaration of Zerca being in another galaxy. He’d been rather surprised by the lack of such actually but suspected that the reaction had only been delayed by the boy’s rather obvious exhaustion.
He watched his mate fall rapidly asleep on his chest. That just couldn’t be a very comfortable position to be in could it? When Nathaniel clutched his shirt, though, Kiegan just knew he would not be able to get away from this easily. One part of him didn’t want. He didn’t want to ever be parted from his little mate, holding him close forever, but the other part of him, the more practical part knew that soon this was going to become very uncomfortable for the both of them. Nathaniel was sure to wake up with a bunch of protesting muscles due to the torture he was submitting them to and Kiegan could already feel the hard floor with the occasional bits and pieces he had lying around, did into his back.
He shifted carefully, watching the boy for any signs of waking. Seeing he wasn’t going to get very far without waking the boy, he heaved another resigned sigh, setting himself up for the long time he would be on the floor. Aches be damned. His little mate looked exhausted. Nathaniel looked like he would really need the sleep and so Kiegan was willing to sacrifice his own bodily comfort to ensure the boy got the much needed rest. Closing his eyes he allowed his mind to drift over recent events listening to the soft rhythm of Nathaniel’s breathing.

When Nathaniel woke up, he realized two thins. One, he was on the floor, and two, there was someone under him. It wasn’t every day he woke up with another person under him. Scratch that, it never happened. He was a bit startled, but then realized who it was and relaxed. He was never the sanest person in the morning. Most of the time, it took him some time to realize where he was. He supposed this had to do with the fact that his brain didn’t function properly in the morning. Nathaniel had never been a morning person, in fact, he hated morning people. He couldn’t see how someone could be so perky and loud so early in the morning. Then again, noon was too early for Nathaniel. Usually, he was woken up by the sounds of people scurrying to get to school. That’s when it hit him. He had never gone home the night before. In all his life, he had never spent the night over at someone else’s house or even stayed out too late.
“Tsugiru-san,” whispered the brunette. “Are you awake yet? Tsugiru-san!”
If he didn’t get to sleep anymore, neither did Kiegan. Nathaniel reached over and pinched the other’s cheek lightly. When that didn’t work he did it again. Eventually, he gave up and sat up. He realized that buy doing this, he was straddling Kiegan. It gave him a chance to look over the other man. Kiegan was pretty small. Not as small as he was, but still pretty small for someone his age. Than again, Nathaniel had always been small for his age too. He wasn’t probably going to grow anymore. Most of his family members were short too, except for the few relatives on his mother’s side. Those people were giants, though he doubted he was ever going to be that tall. The man’s eyes had been purple the last time he’d seen them. He had figured they were contacts, but had never seen contacts are pretty as the ones Kiegan had on.
Indeed, the man’s hair was an interesting color. Nathaniel had been convinced it was dye, but now he supposed it wasn’t. The man had an odd sense in clothes. Nathaniel knew the clothes had to belong to the other, but he wasn’t sure how he knew that. They just…smelled like him he supposed. Kiegan wore the brightest colors he could find, which was the opposite of Nathaniel. The teen wore anything that was dark and baggy. He hated being looked at, so he wore anything that wasn’t eye catching. It was odd just how opposite they were of each other. Kiegan was always smiling while Nathaniel never smiled. The man was kind, generous, clumsy, and shy. Nathaniel didn’t really care about others. It wasn’t that he was selfish; he just didn’t want to concern himself with something that wasn’t his business.
Nathaniel had never been called kind. He had never gone out of his way for someone unless it was very important. He wasn’t generous with others, deciding to stay out of their way and hide instead. The teen had been raised to be polite, reserved, and well-mannered. He was never clumsy or anything of the sort. Even though most people thought he was, Nathaniel wasn’t shy. Sometimes, he could be very aggressive and other times, he could be teasing and playful. His mood seemed to change frequently, making him a very fickle person.
The brunette reached out to touch the other’s hair. He’d never seen such long hair before. The school he went to had a strict policy over student’s hair. Boys weren’t allowed to have hair this long; it was part of the dress code. His school had a lot of stupid rules. Nathaniel let the man’s hair tie fall out as he ran his fingers through it. It felt nice. He wondered if Kiegan used all those girly hair products people accused him of having. It made him want to giggle just thinking about it, but he didn’t. His face wasn’t showing any emotion at the moment. It seemed it was his natural expression. Nathaniel’s eyes weren’t really focused on anything and his mind seemed to be wandering off to other things as he continued to stroke Kiegan’s hair.

Kiegan groaned softly as awareness flooded his mind. Awareness accompanied by aches and pain. He’d been right; the floor had not been the most comfortable place to sleep. He opened sleepy violet eyes to stare at the weight that still held him to the ground. Nathaniel seemed to be preoccupied. That was when he felt the boy’s fingers slip through his hair. It seemed Nathaniel liked his hair as much as he liked Nathaniel’s.
Kiegan smiled softly watching the boy dazedly as he let his mind slowly come fully awake. He kind of liked waking to the sight of his mate. True, maybe not on the floor: as he was painfully reminded by his protesting body: but it was a pleasant concept none the less. Suddenly reality began to sink in. What time was it? Didn’t Nathaniel have school? Wasn’t the boy still sick? This rush of thought instigated a sudden movement from Kiegan’s protesting body. Hastily scooping Nathaniel up, he dumped the boy into bed, covering him so he would be warm.
“Bed rest for you. You need to keep warm if you want to completely recover. And you had better eat this time… “ Kiegan rushed over to pick up the phone. “Now,” He coughed. “What would you like?” He stared at Nathaniel in expectation blushing bright red. This was a belated reaction to his realization that Nathaniel had been straddling him earlier. He swallowed nervously when he found Nathaniel looking at him. He knew his blush was visible. He could ‘feel’ it. He just hoped Nathaniel would not be able to deduce the ‘reason’ for it.

"You're...face is turning red..." commented Nathaniel. "...and you put me on the bed... My, my...just what are your intentions with me Tsugiru-san?"
Nathaniel was giving Kiegan a very cheeky smile. He knew the other blushed easily and he wanted to take advantage of that. It was fun to tease the other. It seemed like Kiegan was doing his best to make Nathaniel comfortable and even though he knew the other wouldn't try anything, it was still funny to see his expression when he made such accusations. If Nathaniel hadn't felt comfortable with the other, he wouldn't have acted this way. Nathaniel realized that he had never been this way with another person. It seemed like Kiegan was the closest he'd had to a real friend. With other people, Nathaniel wasn't this playful or talkative.
Most of the time, he found himself ignoring others and trying to distance himself from others. He supposed he liked the change, but it was still new to him. When he looked over to the clock, he realized it was late. He wasn't felling ill anymore, but he didn't feel like going to school. He'd never actually missed school before, but it was too late to go now. The attendance office would ask him why he was so late and might even ask on of his siblings to verify that his story was true. His school was very strict. Attendance was a big issue these days. It seemed like everyone was skipping school. The worst he'd get was detention, though. It was his first offense after all. Still, he didn't want to have to explain himself to his parents or siblings. Well, this was a big mess.
"Ne, Tsugiru-san," smiled Nathaniel, making himself look as innocent as possible. "I'll eat whatever you want as long as you feed it to me."
Well, if he was going to get into trouble, he might as well enjoy this entire day, starting with making Kiegan uncomfortable. Yep, that sounded like lots of fun to him.

Kiegan started to choke at the implication in Nathaniel’s statement. He was horrified that the biy would even think such a thing. He hadn’t meant anything by putting Nathaniel on the bed. He had only been worried that the boy might be cold. He also knew from experience that the floor was not the most comfortable place to sleep. “ I didn’t… I wasn’t… I…” Kiegan choked out, in between gasps, flaming red now…
Kiegan looked even more horrified when Nathaniel stated he expected Kiegan to feed him. His mind raced to find a safe meal he could order. He couldn’t think of any. None at all. Even the ordinary sandwich seemed dangerous to him. However, Nathaniel needed to eat. And so, blushing bright red he ordered Nathaniel a large breakfast of soup, eggs, bacon, toast, fruit and muffins, whispering down the phone line that he would like extra cutlery. When the assistant on the other side could not hear he choked the request out in a louder voice, flaming red.
Putting the phone down carefully, he shifted for a moment before darting to the bathroom with a hasty. “I’ll be right back.” Slamming the door shut, he leant against it eyes wide. He stared at his own bright red reflection in the mirror. He moved over to the basin to splash cold water on his face, staring wide eyed in horror. He took a few deep calming breaths to calm his flustered emotions. A thud was heard as his forehead made contact with the cool glass. He groaned softly. What was he going to DO with his mate? His little mate was not only conflicting but incorrigible too.
He jerked in surprise when he heard the knock on the hotel room door. Hastily slipping out of the bathroom he went to collect the food avoiding looking at Nathaniel for a while. Taking another deep breath he closed the door and turned to face the boy currently occupying his bed.

"You...looked really scared..." stated Nathaniel. "You're very odd and you blush too easily... It's very cute."
It was true. Nathaniel found it very cute when Kiegan blushed. He had seen him run into the bathroom the way he had. Kiegan had accused him of running away, yet he had done the same thing just now. He supposed that maybe he had pushed a bit too far, yet the result had brought great amusement. Nathaniel looked at Kiegan as he noticed the man looking at him. The brunette wasn't used to being around people like Kiegan. The man didn't act like other adults.
Nathaniel had been around a lot of adults. He found that deep down, they were all the same. It seemed like they thought they knew everything and though they denied it, they thought they were better than children. They found ways to avoid responsibility and hid their faults. Maybe they weren't all like that, but the ones Nathaniel had met were. Kiegan wasn't like that. It seemed he wasn't ashamed to admit he had faults. He found that endearing about the other. A lot of the things Kiegan did were funny or just plain cute, though he wasn't sure if that was the intention of the other.
"I was kidding, you know? I missed school..." the boy muttered. "I never went home... I'm probably in a lot of trouble right now... Oh well, I'll just forge a note from my mother and blackmail one of my siblings into a phone call to my school."
He knew a lot of things his siblings would rather their parents not know. It seemed like everyone was keeping secrets. He wondered what his parents would do if they found out about half the things the others had done. Forging papers was easy. They had all learned their parent's' signatures when they were young. Since they were never home, they had to have some way to get all their school papers signed. No one cared anyway. It seemed like their actions were always unnoticed.
"What do we do now Tsugiru-san?" Asked Nathaniel. "I..."
He didn't want to go home. He felt trapped there. No...he didn't want to go back. Nathaniel laid down on the bed. He snuggled against the covers, seeking warmth. He closed his eyes and sighed. He looked a bit more peaceful than he had when he had been sick. A bit of his shirt had ridden up, revealing a bit of skin. The pants the teen wore were too big and slid down his hips easily. You could see a bit of his underwear too, but Nathaniel probably wasn't aware of this.
"Weren't you the one...that said you lived in another galaxy?" Nathaniel asked, his voice a bit muffled by the sheets and blanket. "So...are you...taking me somewhere far away?"

Kiegan shifted uncomfortably, chewing on his lip as his mind raced. He did not notice the clothes slip off as his mind was currently occupied with other thoughts. It seemed he had gotten the boy into trouble by keeping him here the night. He felt terribly guilty about that. Not about Nathaniel missing school, the boy was sick and needed the rest but about the possible trouble he was going to get into with his parents.
He turned violet eyes to stare worriedly at Nathaniel. “If you’d agree, I would love to take you home. There is, however one rather serious problem with that…” Kiegan heaved a big sigh. “It seems that I missed my lift home. The tour group I came with has already left. It will be some time before another comes here again. Until then it seems I will have to find a job. If you want and are able to, I would…” Kiegan coughed slightly before continuing, “love for you to come stay with me. I can’t promise much but I will definitely take care of you. No matter where you are and what I have to do to do so.”
Suddenly he frowned in confusion cocking his head to the side. “Doesn’t the fact that I’m not human bother you?” He enquired bluntly, suddenly remembering he had told Nathaniel he was from another galaxy. The boy seemed incredibly calm about the news. Didn’t earthlings usually have a difficult time accepting the concept of aliens even with all their exaggerated films about such? Those movies were horribly inaccurate and ridiculous to say the least but had been amusing to go see. He waited for Nathaniel’s response, holding his breath nervously. That was when he noticed the clothing that had slipped off.
This observation was of course followed by the usual chocking and blushing. Kiegan hastily reached for the clothes in an attempt to cover the skin they currently exposed. He froze as his fingers brushed the exposed flesh. A pleasant sensation ran through him. The soft heat of his little mate’s body was so sweet, so tempting. A sudden urge to forget his mate’s age and take possession of Nathaniel, before someone else could, coursed through his veins. Animal instinct ran through his blood. His senses were heightened, Nathaniel’s heady scent drawing a small possessive growl from him. Kiegan jerked his hand back as if burnt, utterly horrified at himself. How could he let such a thought even cross his mind? Nathaniel was only a BOY, still too young to be taken like that. Keigan’s gaze dropped to the floor. He looked like a guilty whipped puppy.

"Job...?" Repeated Nathaniel. "What do you do...?"
Nathaniel wondered just what kinds of things Kiegan could do. He hadn't considered that yet. A person's job told a lot about a person. It would be interesting to know what kinds of things his mate was interested in. Speaking of mate, Nathaniel was still a bit confused about that. He still didn't know what it meant to be the other's mate. He wondered just what kind of place Kiegan was from. Sure, he had never believed in aliens, but this was different. Kiegan had told him he was from another planet...and he had believed him for some reason. He hadn't questioned the man's words even though they seemed unreal. Now, Nathaniel had never been the most trusting person.
He had always thought everyone had a hidden motive and that no one was sincere. When people had spoken to him or willingly gone near him, he had instantly put his guard up and done whatever it took to be rid of them. He had never liked to interact with people and never tried to stand out. But...it was all different with Kiegan. With the other male, he couldn't help but be trusting. When he was with him, he lowered his guard and let him in. They talked and joked as though they were childhood friends. It was hard to put his guard up again and sometimes, he forgot about everything that had happened to him.
He could be himself and it wouldn't matter if he wasn't perfect. He felt accepted and like someone actually cared for him. It was something new, but not unwanted. He supposed he had always wanted this. Nathaniel rolled onto his stomach and sat up. His arms were behind his back as support to help him sit up. The boy's legs were stretched out in front of him.
"You said you were from another planet, so why would I not believe you?" Asked Nathaniel. "You would not lie to me. So then...it's okay...because you didn't lie to me. I don't mind at all."
Nathaniel smiled at the other male. He had no idea that his clothes were practically hanging off. Rolling around on the bed had caused the baggy clothing to start slipping off. The shirt had slipped a little, revealing a bare shoulder and his pants had slipped a little, as well as a bit of his boxers. You could see a bit of the boy's hip, though not enough to be considered indecent. Nathaniel had wondered why Kiegan had touched him, but he had not pressed the issue. He had liked the feeling of the other's bare skin against his own, though.
"I...would cause trouble for you if I went with you..." mumbled Nathaniel. "If someone notices I'm not there or if you're seen with me...they'll ask questions and be ansgry... I do not wish to cause you trouble Tsugiru-san..."
Even though he didn't have anyone at home and he was ignored most of the time, he knew his family would stop at nothing to get him back. Maybe it was pride. Maybe they didn't want the shame of knowing they weren't powerful enough to protect a member of their family... Kiegan would be in danger if they knew who he was. They'd do anything to separate them. Nathaniel wasn't completely sure what his parents had planned for his future, but he was certain it didn't in love him being with another man. Maybe they'd hate him for taking him away. Nathaniel didn't want to risk it, besides, Kiegan didn't have a job yet. It'd be difficult to support to people, especially if he didn't have any sort of papers or IDs. This was certainly a bit of a mess.
"It was...my fault you aren't home..." whispered Nathaniel. "Sorry..."
He lowered his head a little. This was all so hard... He felt like he was going to cry. He wasn't supposed to cry, he never cried. Nathaniel didn't move from his position and kept his eyes away from Kiegan's as to avid the man's gaze. He really was sorry.
