"I think that's what they were planning on," Cameron replied, pulling a small platter out of the fridge and onto the counter. He gave it a thoughtful look before peeling off the plastic that had been wrapped around it, "But, you have as much time as you need. They wouldn't care at all to wait for you."
The half-Zercan gave the piece of fruit he'd picked up another quick look before popping it into his mouth. Honestly, he had no idea what it was, but it was worth a try, right? It looked good enough. After a second, he wrinkled his nose slightly and reluctantly swallowed, moving next to the counter to grab a glass and then continuing onto the sink.
"Whatever makes you happy, we'll do. If that means leaving right now or in a year, I'd be more than happy to wait until your ready to go," He gave his mate a smile before lifting the glass to his lips to take a drink of water. With the disgusting taste of the unidentifiable fruit now gone, he decided to skip trying new things and went directly for the apple slices, "But it's not like we'll never come back. Whenever you want to visit your family again, I'll take you."

Audley picked up an apple slice as well. He shook his head at Cameron, smiling slightly. "No, I knew that," he assured him. "I just don't want them to have to wait too long. It wouldn't be good if they missed their flight... and I am not sure how long it will take to take care of everything.”
And there were a few things to take care of. Like telling his family about Cameron, gathering his things, talking to the Leader, actually getting to Sanjiv with his mate…. It wasn’t that long of a trip, was it? And he was part Zercan…. Aud just couldn’t help worrying about his mate’s safety, though. There were so many things that could harm him, and then there was the fact that he wasn’t used to the environment and climbing in trees.
The teen sighed softly, nibbling on his apple slice. It was pretty good. Not like the apples he was used to. There was something different about it. It was a little sour. The ones around his village were sweeter.

"There isn't a flight to miss, actually. Dad has his own ship and that's how we came here. The thing's like a little house on the inside, at that, so they would probably stay there and wait," The popped the last little bite of apple into his mouth and, once it was swallowed, grinned, "It's not like they'll be in shortage of anything to do, either. Mom's been bothering Dad to take him to Jeskara ever since the last little get-together we had here. He'll have the whole family dragged around the city in five times and visit every single store Jokadi has."
He took one last sip of the water before pouring out the rest of the cup and sitting it in the sink, walking over to his mate. Once he was within reach, he pulled the younger boy into an embrace again, like they had shared on the street a bit earlier when they had first figured out that they were mates. While the Majikadai wasn't used to so much contact, the half-Zercan couldn't have survived without it. He was a very 'touch-oriented' person when it came right down to things. A happy sigh passed his lips, followed immediately by a small smile.
"This feels so nice," He mumbled quietly, "I'm so happy that I found you."
((My mind keeps drawing blanks with what to have Cameron do today, so I figured going back to pointless fluff for a little bit couldn't hurt anything. XD Sorry I'm not doing anything productive with my posts so far. Writer's block, ugh.))

Audley gasped quietly in surprise when Cameron pulled him into his arms. Though a smile quickly appeared on his face and he wrapped his arms around the other boy-returning the embrace. He nodded in agreement. "I'm happy as well," he murmured.
He rested his head on his mate's shoulder, letting his eyes close as he enjoyed their closeness. This truely was nice. He felt so warm and peaceful, just being in the brunette's arms. It made him so happy that they found eachother. He had always doubted he would find his mate... but he did!
The Majikadai nuzzled the other's neck without thinking it over first. It made him blush lightly, but he still smiled about it. He could already tell he was going to have a soft spot for this cuddly stuff.

Cameron was a bit surprised as well when he felt the other nuzzle against the side of his neck, but found the gesture completely wonderful. Maybe his mate was getting over his shyness? A small part of the half-breed hoped that that wasn't true, though. It was cute when the other acted shyly. It suited him well and, in Cameron's opinion, made the other even more adorable than he was already.
"I love you, Aud," He smiled, turning his head a bit to place a few soft kisses against the other's jaw and neck. He was slightly amazed at how naturally that little phrase came to him. It was natural and justed rolled off his tongue easily, "More than anything."
The brunette had never thought it possible to grow so attached to a person so quickly. Sure, he had heard from his parents that when they had met each other, it had been 'love at first sight', but he still found it a bit hard to believe. But now that he had experienced it, he knew it was possible. Already, he couldn't imagine going through a single day without his mate. The thought was painful, actually. Now that he'd found his other half, he was determined not to ever be without the lavender-haired boy again. There just wasn't a way to survive without him now, not that he would want to survive without the other, anyway.

"I love you too, Cammy," Audley replied, smiling shyly from the kisses. He was pleased about them, though. "More than anything," he repeated, smiling brightly. It was so nice to be able to say that to somebody other than relatives. Those three words.... So few people could say that to their true mate. They were so lucky.
He sighed contently, leaning up to place his own kiss on his mate's cheek. After a few minutes of standing there in comfortable silence the teen spoke up when he remembered something.
"What job do you have?" he murmured. "Your mother wanted you to get a different one...," he trailed off.

Cameron laughed quietly at the little nickname the other seemed to have given him. Cammy? He'd certainly never been called that to his face before, excluding a few times Keiran or his mother had used the little name to bug him. It annoyed him to no end whenever they called him that, but it didn't bother him in the least to hear his mate refer to him as such.
"I'm a bartender at a club about two and a half blocks away from where I live. Mom thinks it's a terrible job," He sighed, moving one of his arms slightly so that he could reach up and idly toy with a few strands of the other's hair, "He thinks I'm going to go broke any day now, but it pays really well. I tend to get a lot of tips, anyway."
Now that he put a bit more thought into it, though, the way that he got most of his tips was by flirting. That was something he couldn't not permit himself to do now that he had Audley, not like he wanted to flirt with anyone else now anyway. He supposed the points against his job were starting to pile up a bit. As horribly boring as a normal job was sure to be, it seemed like an inevitability.
"But, I guess Mom's right. Not because of the money, though. It wouldn't reflect well on us if any future children of ours have to tell people that their father works in a nightclub," He shook his head slightly, "Finding another job shouldn't be that hard, though."

"A nightclub?" he murmured, smiling at the finger playing with his hair. "I've never been to one before but a man in my village says they're violent," he said, looking up at his mate with sudden concern.
Was Cameron involved in the violent part of nightclubs? If so he wanted him to stop right now. He didn't seem too bothered with the job, though, saying he made good money. Only when he thought of their future children did it bother him. That made him feel happy, dispite the other possibly having a dangerous job. It was sweet that he thought of their childrens' futures before they were even born. Gosh, he couldn't wait for their first little boy....
He shook his head at himself, giving his mate an expectant look. "Is your... bartender-ing a dangerous job?" he asked.

"Well, generally, they can be a bit violent, but the one I work at is safe. Every now and then someone will have a bit too much to drink and try to start something, but they're thrown out before they can ever throw the first fist," He reassured the other, amused to think of his job as 'potentially dangerous'. Honestly, he'd only ever seen about a handful of fights ever start since the time he'd started working at the club and only once had someone ever managed to actually hit him, even though the little punch hadn't been anything serious at all.
"It isn't dangerous, I promise. Even if someone did try to hurt me, I can hold my own in a fight. If not, I can just run home and have you beat them up for me in revenge, right? You fight a lot better than I ever could," Cameron stated as he moved his fingers from his mate's hair to gently trace little invisible lines over the base of the other's neck, "But I'll be quitting soon anyway. Personally, I think sitting behind a desk all day doing paperwork is more dangerous than mixing and serving drinks. I'm not that fond of papercuts."
A desk job. The words seemed like poison to him. He had decided a long time ago that he just wasn't meant to hold a conventional job. Something off-the-wall, like bartendering, was much better for him. He certainly had the charm and good-looks for it. But, charm and good-looks didn't get one much of anywhere in a real business... unless you were aiming to get promotions and raises in a rather shady way.
"But sacrifices have to be made for the children, I guess," He sighed, melodramatically, though gave his mate a wink a second later.

Audley smiled softly. "Yeah," he murmured. He was happy when he found out Cameron's job wasn't very violent. Now it wasn't such a big deal if he stayed at the nightclub for a little while before changing jobs. Of course he would have to switch sometime, but the Majikadai wasn't so urgent about it now.
Cameron didn't seem too excited about getting a new job. He didn't like sitting behind a desk because he would get papercuts. There had to be more exciting jobs than the infamous "desk job". Not everyone worked at either a nightclub or a desk job, right? The Majikadai hoped they found something his mate could be happy doing, and not just doing it for money. If that was the case Aud thought he could consider getting a job himself doing... something. He wasn't sure what.
Teen grinned. "And yes, I would gladly beat any man up that tries to harm you," he promised. "I won't stand for any of that." The lavender haired boy smiled, tilting his head. "So we're definately going to be living on Zerca then?" he asked. The thought was kind of scary, but very exciting. It would be neat to see a different world. A different world in planet and in the way things worked.

"Unless you don't want to live on Zerca, then definitely," He confirmed the other's question, though gave a small shrug, "It's all up to you, though. I'll be happy anywhere as long as you're always within arm's reach."
Cameron really hadn't been lying, not even in the least. The two of them could have lived anywhere and he would have been as happy as could be. The most important thing to him right then was being close to the other and making sure that Aud was happy. His personal interests were second priority now. His mate came before everything else.
"So, when do I get to meet your family?" Cameron asked, looking to the entryway to the kitchen, "Because I suppose we might want to leave here soon. My grandparents will probably be down soon and I don't think me or you either one would like to stick around and have a chat with them."
He could just imagine the situation if said two incubi were to walk in on them. While not outwardly rude, he had a feeling it would be hinted for them to leave as soon as possible. Cameron and his brothers weren't exactly on the best of terms with their grandparents. Though it wasn't hate or any sort of strong dislike by a long shot, it was just... disapproval, mostly. The majority of the Ainsworth family were incubi and that was something they happened to take pride in. But, whenever Tristan had found his mate and moved to Zerca, his parents had felt betrayed, and it was like adding insult to injury when his three sons were born. So, there was no doubt in his mind that if the two older males happened to walk in on them, they wouldn't be pleased in the least.

Audley gave his mate a quizzical look. He follows a question of meeting his family by saying he wouldn't want to talk with the half breed's grandparents? That was sort of odd. You would think he would want his grandparents to mee him. It would be a nice thing. At least that's what he thought. He didn't know anything about them, but how could he without meeting them?
"Why wouldn't we?" he asked. Aud knew he wanted Cameron to meet his own family, every member. So why didn't his mate feel the same? "Is your grandmother more eccentric than your mother?" he asked, blinking and then smiling slightly.

"Eccentric's not quite the way to put," Cameron wrinkled his nose, "More like they're not that fond of my father's little branch on the family tree. I'll explain it to you once we leave. With my luck, they would walk in right in the middle of the explanation. They put up with Mom and Dad, but they don't like Keiran, Aden, and I all that well. So, I guess if you had to call them something, it would be stuck-up."
The brunette was about to add something else to his statement whenever he spotted something out of the corner of his eye. He turned his head and looked over at what had caught his attention, a person that looked only about three or four years older than him.
"They would be even more pissed off at you if they heard you calling them stuck up, Cam," The older incubus sighed as he walked past the couple, a few glasses tucked away in his arms as he carried them to the sink. Once he had sat them down, he pushed a few annoying strands of short, vibrant red hair from his eyes and looked over at the Majikadai boy first before looking back to Cameron, "Your mate?"
"He is," The half-breed nodded, turning to look back at his mate. He pulled away just enough so that there was some decent space in between them, though he slipped his hand over one of his mate's to maintain at least some contact between them, "Aud, this is my cousin's mate, Ren. Ren, Audley."
"Nice to meet you," The older male mumbled. This man was just about the only member of Cameron's father's side of the family that didn't completely ignore him. Though the two of them were far from what one would call close, Ren was the only person who had spoken to Cameron for more than ten minutes at a time until his mate had come to drag him off again.

It was hard for Audley to believe that some one would hate their family just because of their species. Family was supposed to accept and love eachother, no matter what. Though with a house as big as this, Cameron's grandparents were bound to be well off; and the Majikadai heard that a lot of rich people were stuck-up, like the half-breed called his grandparents. So... maybe it wasn't so surprising as it was a new concept to the teen.
Audley looked up when some one walked into the room, speaking to Cammy. He looked older than his relative, and the Majikadai liked his rich red hair. It was very eye-catching and he rarely ever saw hair that vibrant. Though he did prefer Cammy's light brown/blondish hair over the vibrant red.
When the Incubus studied him he blushed lightly. He was happy for the hand that slipped into his own and squeezed it lightly. Audley smiled at Ren slightly. "Nice to meet you too, Ren," he answered shyly. "I-It's nice to meet more of Cameron's family," the boy added.

"I think you've met just about everyone important on my Dad's side of the family," Cameron mumbled, giving a sideways look to Ren. The red-haired incubus gave the other a small glare at the implied jab at his mate, but remained silent still until another person walked into the kitchen, not even noticing the half-breed and his mate at first.
"Ren, you shouldn't have volunteered us to stay and help clean up," He whined. This incubus, about a good six inches shorter than the one that had entered just before him, had made it to the sinks and started putting down the multitude of little plates and silverware he had gathered before he turned around and finally noticed the other two in the room. At first, he studied them both with some look that resembled shock, but he soon turned away from them completely and walked over to his mate, attaching himself to Ren's arm in an instant. He looked over his shoulder at the lavender-haired teen and then back to Ren, standing up on his tip-toes to half-whisper his question to the taller incubus, "Whos' that?"
"Your cousin's mate," He stated flatly, "Audley, he said his name was."
"Cameron found his mate?" The shock and disgust was obvious in his voice as the little raven-haired incubus--Emlyn--looked over his shoulder at the two again, this time addressing them directly, "You sure that you two are mates?"
"Absolutely sure," Cameron hissed, narrowing his eyes. His cousin was definitely the worst family member he had, as far as being 'stuck up' went. They both hated each other and it was obvious to any casual onlooker just by the looks they gave each other. Finally Emlyn broke the stare down and looked back to Ren, calling loud enough to be obnoxious in the most fake, sad voice he could muster.
"Poor thing, with a mate like that! That little boy over there has terrible luck, as you can see. Out of the all the people in the universe, to be stuck with someone so unattractive," He paused, snickering quietly to himself before he added, "But I guess the same thing could be said in reverse, too. Both of them aren't that appealing, honestly."
"Care to step about five and a half feet closer this way and repeat that?" Cameron growled through gritted teeth. Already, Emlyn hadn't been on his good side, but going as far as to insult his mate to his face destroyed any possible chance for forgiveness. In a matter of mere seconds, his usually calm temper had turned around completely. His free hand clenched into his fist, his other hand keeping a firm, but not painful, grip on his mate's, "Insult me all you damn well please. Nothing ever stopped you from doing that since we were little kids. But, say anything about Aud like that again and I'll be sure to it that you won't ever have to worry about watching what you say to others again."
((Gah, the internet has been dead for the past two hours. But, yay. Furious Cameron. XD <3))
