Lost (Kai/Alex)

[Alex Nephel]

Alex chewed on his lip and thought about what Kai said. He didn’t want to go either but… his parents and stepparents, he didn’t want to worry them. They cared for him and made him feel loved for his whole life. He knew he was being selfish but he still wanted to stay with Kai. In the short time he meet him, he came to really care for him, not wanting to leave his side.

The Humanoid laid his head on the other’s chest, picking at invisible dust off his shirt. “I don’t want to go either but my parents… well, I could always visit, right?” Alex asked looking into his eyes but quickly tore away. If he looked at them again he wouldn’t be able to leave.

He kicked at the floor and gave him a hug. “I’ll come back soon,” he muttered. “I’ll just tell my parent that I’m taking a few days off and then I’ll come back.” He reluctantly pulled away. “See ya later, k?”

After walking out the door, he mindlessly followed Seri’s direction to get to his ship. Once aboard, he sat in the chair, lifeless and left the planet.

(Yeah, and the sad part about it is... they just FIXED the roof)

[Kai Hikari]

Kai really didn't want the younger boy to leave him...not even for a minute. He grew to love him even though they had just met each other. Though it seemed a bit selfish to want the boy to stay with him when he had a family to go home just like he did.

"Yes," Kai replied to the boy's question about visiting as he looked into his eyes. Though he just wanted to memorize the way the other's face looked then when the boy looked away it upset him a bit.

Then to his surprise the younger boy gave him a hug. He never wanted him to let go but he knew the boy would have to. When the other said he would be back it made Kai a little happier. "Of course...that is if you're allowed." He said lightly so the other couldn't hear him, he just watched the boy walk away from him.

(Well at least the fixed it, right?)

Seri appeared awhile after the ship had left Jeskara. His heart sank at the boy’s ashen face, usually cheerful and full of joy. “Hey, Alex,” he said softly. “You okay?” Well, that was a stupid question. It was obvious he was upset. “Maybe talking to your parents would cheer you up.”

Four people appeared on the screen. Haines, his stepfather, was to the far left. He had a trim and neat appearance about him with his perfectly cut dark brown hair and seemingly piercing brown eyes. His mate, Jivanta, stood beside him with a big smile. He had a slim torso with long, light brown hair and sparkling green eyes. To the far right was his father, Dysis, a knowing smirk plastered on his face. He had black hair that fell into his dark brown eyes. Standing next to Dysis was his mate, Miyoko. He had on a warm smile with brown hair and chocolate brown eyes that held a bit of shyness in them.

“Where have you been? I was so worried about you!” Jivanta cried.

“Well, it seems obvious enough to me. He didn’t even bother tidying himself up after a make out session,” Dysis smirked.

At the comment, Alex turned a bright red. “Oh?” his mother, Miyoko, asked, raising an eyebrow. “Well I’m happy for you.”

“Oh, I can’t believe it. My little Alex has a mate!” his stepmother sniffed.

“I’d like to meet this mate of yours. I need to have a…talk with him,” Haines said.

“Well, I…um…I’m not sure if he’s my mate...”

“I dunno know about that. You seemed awfully sad when you left,” interrupted Seri. “But…”

“Yes, didn’t you feel a certain bond with him when you first meet him?” Miyoko asked. “Well…”

“And want to hug him and never let go?” continued Jivanta. “Um…”

“And make sure nothing ever bad happened to him,” Haines said, putting his arms around his mate. “Uh…”

“And not want to stop making out with him?” Seri chuckled. “Eh…”

“You guys stole me lines!” Dysis playfully glared at them. “Well, shoo. Go to your mate. Besides, even if we wanted to, we couldn’t keep you here forever ya know.”

“But…”

“Go get your mate!” everyone yelled at the same time, erupting into a fit of laughter.

So, Alex turned the ship around. Once he landed, he ran towards Kai’s parent’s house. When he finally reached it, he knocked on the door, panting and out of breath.

(Whew that was long. And I meant that they just fixed the roof and then we found out it had a whole in it. But I think it's fixed now...hopefully)

After the younger boy had left Kai didn't even bother leaving his room. He layed backwards on the bed putting his arms under his head and looked up at the cieling. He couldn't help but have Alex's face appear in his mind again, it made him smile just a little. Of course he didn't want to be bothered by anyone...but that didn't last too long. Not too soon after his younger brothers came running into his room yelling at one another. Then they turned to Kai, who had suddenly sat up on the bed.

"Mom wants you down stairs to eat dinner," They yelled at him playfully. "I'm not hungry," Kai had said sharply looking at them with is light blue eyes. "Well you're going down stairs wether you like it or not!" They yelled again grabbing their older brother by the arms and pulling him off down the stairs into the kitchen. Of course when they were doing this it reminded him of the boy dragging him off before they came here. When they got into the kitchen Kai sat down at the table just staring down at his plate of food. Of course his parents knew something was wrong but they didn't want to say something to him to make him even more upset about the younger boy leaving.

For a while Kai stared at his food then he picked up a fork and started to play with it. His parents have always tought him to never play with is food. He just couldn't help it he needed something to do to ease the pain the other had left him. He just thought that he would die without the boy by his side. Now taking the time to think it over...could that boy really be his mate? Sure Alex was younger then he was but he didn't care just has long as he was by his side forever. Though Kai's train of thought was broken when he heard someone knocking on the door. He got up from the table and walked over to the door. His parents weren't expecting a guest were they? He opened the door slowly...only to see Alex panting and out of breath.

(Oh well lets hope. ^w^;; If it fixed then that good too.)

(Yes, let's hope. And how did you post...at...4:50?! I can't even get up at 7...)

Alex had his hands on his knees, trying to regain his breath when he saw the door open. He lifted his head to see his mate standing in the doorway. “Kai!” Alex launched himself at Kai, in an attack hug type thing, successfully knocking him down.

“I told you I’d come back to visit,” he said, giving him a cheeky grin. The boy looked at Kai, while straddling his waist. “What is this, the third time I’ve fallen since I met you?”

He, then, laid his head on the vampyre’s chest, closing his eyes. “I really must be falling for you, huh?”

(School started again. )

When Kai heard the boy yelled out his name it surprised him. Of course he was even more surprised when he had fallen down onto the ground because of him...for the second time.

"Yes you did say that," Kai said trying to look at the boy. Of course he really did hope that he would come back...now that he was here he was happy again. "Yes I do believe this is the third time you've fallen since we've met." He was with a light chuckle in his voice.

When Alex layed his head on Kai's chest, Kai couldn't help but wrap his arms around him. "It seems that way. Of course I've fallen for you as well," He said with a light sigh has he held Alex closer to him.

(Haha odd thing to ask. I don't know I just happened to wake up at that time...it really didn't matter I would have had to get up for school any way. Oh well that's sad I have a month left after April.)

Alex blushed when he heard Kai say he fell for him too, but no one could see it cause his face was buried in his chest. “I talked to my parents and my steps. They said I could stay here…well, in a way.”

He inhaled his mate’s scent. A dreamy smiled found its way to Alex’s face. He could stay like this forever, with Kai’s arms wrapped around him, protecting him, making him feel all warm and fuzzy inside. “They told me to get my mate, so here I am,” he said, grinning like an idiot.

(Aw, lucky. Well, actually, I guess you could say I get out in a month. Only 37 and 1/2 days left of school! Not counting weekends of breaks. Are you a senior? Cause, in my school, only seniors get out in May.)

Kai for some reason what to run his fingers though the boy's hair so he did so. "You did?" He was quite in question about what was really going on. He really didn't care just as long as the other was in his arms. He would surely protect him no matter what.

When he had heard the other say that his parents and stepparents told him to come and get his mate Kai was confused. Of course now looking at it he realized that Alex was the right person for the he would call his mate. "They did," Kai questioned again of course something he couldn't tell how many stupid questions he was asking.

(Nien, I'm not a senior it's just everyone in my school gets out at the same time...save them the trouble. Our last day of school is May 30th.)

Alex giggled at Kai’s confused looking face. “Yes, they did. And Dad even shooed me away, how rude,” he said jokingly.

“Oh, that reminds me! Daddy wanted to talk to you. You’re in trouble,” the boy sang. (When Alex says Dad, he means his real father. When he says Daddy, he means his stepfather. Mom is real mom. Mommy is stepmother. Forgot to put it in the bio ^_^;

(Oh, you suck! I wished they did that for my school.)

"Yes that was pretty rude." Kai said with a light laugh in his voice. He tried to keep a serious look on his face but with his mate around he couldn't do that. He was just so innocite and cute looking he couldn't help but smile.

When the boy had said his daddy wanted to talk to him and sounded like his younger brothers in away. "Really? That's a bit scary and you kind of sould like my younger brothers." Of course he couldn't help it. He loved the boy dearly and if his parents and stepparents wanted to meet him, he couldn't say no to the other at all.

(Okay that makes sense. Oh well if I do then I do. ^w^)

“Don’t worry. Daddy’s not that scary, but when he’s angry…” Alex did a dramatic pause. His face became serious and he shifted his eyes. “He looks really funny! His face’s all scrunched up and he turns beat red.”

Alex pushed a button on his watch, making Seri appear and told him to contact his parents. The boy decided that it was probably best to get off Kai so he could look more presentable…and save himself the embarrassment when his Dad taunts him about it.

“Oh hello honey. Is that your mate there?” his mom asked.

“Hi mom! And ye-” But he was interrupted by a big man suddenly appearing in the screen.

“Mate you say...hm…” Haines looked him up and down, seeing if he was good enough for Alex. After his inspection, he gave a short nod in approval. “Now, I want a list of all the people you’ve slept with, if you’ve done drugs or not, and if you’ve had a tattoo,” he stated with a stern face.

“Daddy!” he screamed, his face was bright red with embarrassment.

“Oh hush. He’s just checking if he has any disease or STIs (formally known as STD) like on Earth. And to add to the list, who you’ve been intamite with, if you’ve been abused in anyway and if you’re an alcoholic,” his dad said, popping his head in the screen.

“Dad!” he whined, hopping Kai isn’t getting confused with calling Daddy one person and Dad a completely different one.

“Stop it Haines! You’re embarrassing the boy!” his mommy scolded.

“Yes, you too Dysis,” his mom said.

“Thank you mothers,” Alex sighed. At least someone’s on his side.

Kai was a bit upset that the boy had gotten off him when he asked Seri to contect his parents. He was a bit afraid to find out what Alex's daddy wanted to say to him...he just wasn't ready for it. Of course when a smaller looking man appeared he was pretty sure he wasn't the boy's daddy. When a larger man had interrupted the boy before he could finish his sentence this scared him a little more.

When the man started to ask Kai all of these questions he wasn't sure how to answer them. Let alone the man didn't even Kai enough time to answer one question before going onto the next. Then when another man appeared and started asking questions it confused Kai a lot. It was bad enough Kai was confused from the begining with all the questions he had to answer but this made it even worse. At that moment he just wanted to shot himself to stop all of the questions. He was releaved when the boy's mothers had said something to their mates. He looked at Alex still with a confused look on his face.

[Alex Nephel]

“Looks like your friend’s a little confused,” Miyoko stated.

“Oh, don’t worry dear. I’ll help you,” Alex’s mommy started. “I’m his mommy…”

“Hon, I don’t think that’s going to help,” Haines said.

“Oh be quiet. He’s his daddy. He’s his mom and he’s his dad,” Jivanta finished.

“Which means, he’s my stepmother, he’s my stepfather, he’s my mother, and he’s my father. I have two sets of parents,” Alex explained, pointing to each in the process. “And you don’t have to answer Daddy’s or Dad’s questions,” he added.

“Yes he…”

“No he doesn’t!” everybody, except Alex’s fathers, yelled.

Listening to the boy's explanation of why he called on dad and the other daddy made him understand what it was all about. He nodded in understandment to the boy in front of him. "Okay," Kai said lightly to Alex but was a bit worried that the boy's fathers were going to make him answer. Of course he was really relieved when they all yelled that he didn't have to answer them.

“We have to go honey,” Miyoko said.

“We do?” his mate, Dysis, asked. Miyoko gave him a look. “Oh, right we do. See ya later Alex.”

After everybody said their good byes, Dysis popped his head back in. “Have fun and forget to use condoms!” he added quickly and cut the line off, making Alex blush like crazy.

The boy buried his head in his mate’s chest, hoping to hide the blush. “Sorry, Dad’s just…weird.”

(Damn, it worked when I first used it...weird)
