Kerin looked at Lorwynn calmly and frowned at the look on the other's face. "Is something wrong?" he asked. "You...what?"
No, it wasn't that he didn't feel what the Incubus was feeling. Rather, he was just dense and had rarely had to deal with such emotions. Teasing was fine, but he found himself wanting more with Lorwynn each time the other was near.

"I-I..."
Oh, this was difficult, blast it! He usually had people throwing themselves at HIM, not the other damned way around!
He took a deep breath. "I, um. Like you. A lot. I... thinkthatyoumightbemymate, actually."
It was hard for him to say. He didn't like fearing rejection, and suddenly wished that he'd had true crushes on other people before just for the practice. His heart was too unguarded; it hadn't felt anything other than lust for too long.
He looked up pleadingly into Kerin's eyes, hoping he'd understand. He'd tried his best.

Kerin frowned thoughtfully, trying to decipher the rush of words. It took him several moments to figure it out, but when he did he stared up at Lorwynn in shock. "...You think you might be my mate?"
So, that's what the subconsious...thing had been trying to tell him, and what the little flippy feeling he was starting to get in his stomach was, and what the kisses has been about. It was very nice, pleasant, wonderful. It made sense that something so good meant you had found your mate.
Man, was he thick or what? "I think...that I like the sound of that," the blonde said, leaning down for abother kiss. "Yes, I think you might be right..."
((Good night from me, and good night from my cat who will not sit down! ><))

((Good night! I love you bunches!))
The feeling of relief that went through him was so strong that his knees almost gave out from under him, and he clutched at Kerin desperately to keep from falling.
Their mouths met again, fireworks exploding somewhere in Lorwynn's brain. "I really love you a lot," he said against Kerin's lips, a pleasant thrill going through him at the use of the word "love".

Kerin laughed quietly against Lorwynn's lips, causing a buzzy sensation to ripple across their mouths. Finally, he pulled back and looked at the Incubus whom had just been revealed as his mate. "You know, this 'as been a rather suprising day...'Asnt it? It's jumped around a lot it seems...Among other things to, o' course," he pondered outloud, looking into the other's eyes for a moment to. "I think...I that I love you too; or am at least beginning to. I don't know what love really is and 'aven't felt anything besides kin love before," he said softly, kissing the Black haired boy's forehead.
A flash went off to their left and Kerin cringed, blinking. He looked over at his mom and groaned as the Human held up a camera he had brought from home. "Lovely picture, darlngs!"

Lorwynn had to smile a little at that. "I've never really felt love before, either," he admitted. "You probably knew that, didn't you? What with me kissing everyone I saw?"
It IS strange, he thought. I was getting laid earlier today, and now that seems so.. repulsive...
He went a bright tomato red as he saw the camera. "Oh, no," he mumbled, burying his face in Kerin's shoulder.

Kerin laughed and ruffled up Lorwynn's hair, turning him towards the camera and Lawrence more. "What? You don't like your picture getting taken, luv? Come on...Take another one, mum! 'E's so cute, isn't 'e?" he asked rhetorically.
"'E is." Lawrence nodded and snapped another picture before setting the camera aside. "Well, this 'as been an odd day, eh? I can't believe my boy found 'is mate! I can't wait to tell your father. 'E'll be 'appy," the elder man said, leaning back on the couch.

"I'm not photogenic!" Lorwynn wailed as the camera flashed again. Oh, dear. That was going to be a terrible picture.
He smiled, listening to Lawrence and Kerin's excited chatter. His parents... eh. He'd tell them later, when he felt like it. They would probably lament his lack of choice of bed partners, but then they would probably throw a party. WIth lots of Incubi. Lorwynn shuddered. Kerin part of the focus of an Incubi party? Half of his cousins would try to seduce Kerin away from him. No, nono. Bad.
He got a little worried again as Kerin's father was mentioned. "Um... so... tell me about your dad," he said.

Kerin put an arm around Lorwynn and dragged him over to sit on the couch between him and his mum. "Dad? Well...'Is name is Dakyn," the blonde started off thoughtfully. "'E's a scholar. A librarian of sorts, in fact. Um...Well, 'e's a Jshiko like me, obviously..."
Lawrence interrupted his son with a shake of his head and began speaking about his own mate to his son's. "Well...Me mate is a very nice man. 'E loves all sorts of different things because of everything 'e's studied. Oh! And Dakyn loves cultural things; like art or the theatre," the older man explained.

"Oh," Lorwynn said faintly. He didn't know much about musicals or plays; he'd only seen a few, and he'd usually gone to the theater to seduce a performer. Ah, well. He'd just have to learn... quickly.
Kerin's family was so... Lorwynn couldn't find the word to describe it. They were so loving. And his own was, too, but in such a different way...
"This is so confusing," he muttered, twisting his hands together nervously.

"What is?" Kerin asked, putting his hand against his arm and softly rubbing against the skin there. He hoped it was a comforting gesture in any case. For some reason, Lorwynn seemed...anxious or somthing. "Could I 'elp?"
Lawrence smiled, slightly understanding the young man's feelings. After all, he himself had felt so overwhelmed and unworthy of such a fate the first time he met Dakyn. "Perhaps, you could tell us about your family...," he suggested in a calming tone.

Lorwynn nearly purred at Kerin's touch. It felt so lovely. He snuggled against him and buried his head in the crook of Kerin's neck. Oh, Jeskara, he loved him so much.
He chewed on his lip nervously as Lawrence suggested talking about his own family. "They... ah..." he said. "Well. Um. Dad's the owner of a bar downtown, and Mom helps out there, sometimes. Mom's into performing, too," he said. "I never really paid attention..."
What else was he supposed to say? That he lived with the rest of his extended family in a huge mansion? That there were at least 4 generations of Incubi that he saw on a regular basis? That they were generally all so wrapped up in their own lives that they never really had time for each other, even though everyone made an honest effort?
Ehh. No. That could go unsaid.

Kerin chuckled to himself at Lorwynn's antics before listening. Nice, but...Very undescriptive. He wanted to find more out, cespecially onsidering this was his mate. "Anything else?" he asked. "No siblings? Grandparents? ...I don't 'ave any brothers and mum's parents are still on Earth, thinking their son is dead. They were mean, so no worries, darling. In dad's family, only 'is grandpa is alive still," he offered some information for a piece of the other's.
"No, luv, it was 'is great uncle, I think," Lawrence added before his face twisted into confusion. "No...You might 'ave been right." The dark snkinned man laughed. "Ah, well. We never see them anyways."

Oh, no. This was exactly what he'd been afraid of. They were too nice and friendly and they wanted to know more, and... eeeek.
"I've got a brother," he said. "I don't see him very much, because he's so much older than me. I live in the Orothinius house on the other side of town, the really loud and obnoxious building." He laughed a little at that. "And I see my great-grandparents a lot... they're actually not that old, considering that Incubi generally procreate very um... early. And, ah... yes. There's really not too much to tell."
((Ok, I'm changing his age back to 15. I like it better that way. ^_^))

Lawrence smiled, as did Kerin. "It sounds nice," the older man said. "When I lived on Earth, I lived in a big 'ome with a lot of my family. I miss it sometimes, but i like it better 'ere."
His son nodded and chuckled. "It sounds interesting either way though," he said. "Though I have to ask, when exactly will you be going back? I mean, to tell them and to get your stuff...All that stuff."
((^_^ M'kay.))
