The house was... nice. It was very nice. It was clean and it smelled like flowers, which was odd for Jeskara, but it was nice anyways. It reminded him a little bit of the pleasantness of Sensaforia, but... not really. It was a Jeskaran pleasantness.
It was also something he had never experienced before. Incubi... weren't the most familial of people. They raised you until you were old enough to understand sex, and then let you loose into the world. Which wasn't bad; Lorwynn had no complaints about his life. But it was awkward being thrown from a life of lust into this one.
He glanced at Kerin nervously. "Um..."

Kerin just smiled and lead the other deeper into the house. The decour was mostly that of green nature and various outdoors scenes inprinted on wall scrolls. It had been his mum's idea, really...But it did look nice. Along with that and the smell of flowers, it sounded as if some music was playing in the background...Something about a submarine being yellow...
Speaking of his mum though...A dark skinned man almost walked pass them as he read a book, but suddenly stopped and looked up. His expression brightened and he moved to hug his son. "Kerin, darling, did you bring the chocolates back?" he asked before he noticed the young man behind them. "'Ello; and 'oo are you?"

Lorwynn froze. His mind ran quickly through the things he knew how to do well:
1) Seduce someone 2) Make someone buy things for him 3) Get laid
....There was no "Meet the person who I have a huge ass crush on's mum".
Ohh, shit. He was screwed.
He bit his lip, and shrank back behind Kerin as much as he could. "Um... h-hello?"

Kerin shook his head in amusement, not really knowing why Lorwynn would act so odd. His mum was harly intimidating or scary. He had a kind face and expressive brown eyes that seemed to smile. Whatever it was though, the younger male would have to get over it.
"Mum, this is me friend, Lorwynn. 'E 'elped me buy you your chcolates when I accidentally dropped 'em. Lorwynn, this is Lawrence, me mum," he said, stepping aside to reveal the Incubus again.

"Lorwynn Orothinius," he said, biting his lower lip anxiously. It was a nervous habit that his father had always said made him look adorable, but that his partners had usually said made him look sexy. Well. Maybe it was because when he was around his lovers, he was always trying to seduce. When he was around his father, he felt a little bit like he did now: nervous, apprehensive, and like a little 4 year old. Parents had that effect on him. They were just so... loving. So devoid of lust.
It scared him, but it warmed something inside him at the same time.
It felt kind of like what he felt for Kerin. Kind of. Not really.
"Y-you have a very nice house," he said.
Did Kerin notice the change? From coolly confident on the street, to a stuttering idiot in the house? He threaded his fingers together. Ugh. I bet Kerin thinks I'm dumb, now...

On the contrary, Kerin actually found it sweet. He knew about being nervous when meeting parents or someone of importance...He had done it himself several times, actually!
"Thank you," Lawrence said, smiling. "My name's Lawrence Las, by the way. Come in, come in. Any friend of my boy's a friend of mine, after all." He ushered the two in and led them towards the kitchen so he could put the chocolate away.

The kitchen was nice, too. Not that Lorwynn didn't like his own house... it was hot, there. In every sense of the word. It was all sharp edges and bold colors and feeling over thinking, which was nice.
But this was good, too.
He breathed in again, liking the smell. Lawrence... was nice. This was nice. He began to relax a little bit, shoulders loosening from their stiff position. "I can't believe I've never been in this part of town before," he commented.

Kerin and Lawrence looked up at him curiously. "Really?" Kerin asked. "It's pretty nice area anyways. We first got it because my father works at the library down this way, and 'e wanted us to live close to it. I moved after that, but I'm still in this general area."
The two men sat down on the stools against the counter and motioned for Lorwynn to join them. "You should come visit this way more then," the older man said as he placed the bag of candy in front of him. "Now that you 'ave friends 'ere and...Oh! I forgot; would you like some tea?"

Tea. That was new, too. It sounded interesting. "That would be nice," he said.
Well, hopefully it would be. He usually drank coffee with plenty of milk and sugar in it, or some alcholic beverage, but... he'd liked the changes so far.
"Yeah. I live clear out on the other side of town, near the Singing River."

Lawrence smiled and got up to go about making the tea. They had company, after all. It was only proper. "Ah...That is pretty far from here," he said. "I don't think I've ever really been over there."
"Neither have I," Kerin said, shaking his head. "I guess it's just been too out of the way. Is it nice over there?"

"It's..." Lorwynn hesitated. How could he explain the wild acts of pure, unadulterated passion to these... innocent people?
He knew they weren't "innocent", but...
"It's different," he said, finally. "It's a lot... more... dark, over there, you could say."
He smiled again. That was his world, and he loved it in his own way. And this was theirs.
Funny thing was, he loved theirs, too.
He just didn't see how they could mix.

Kerin smiled at that and popped one of the chocolates in his mouth, after making sure that his mum wouldn't catch him. "I see," he said. "I figured as much, but...it's polite and proper to as now, eh, darling?" He handed a piece of candy over to the Incubus sitting next to him and winked.
A whistling sound suddenly emitted from the kettle Lawrence had put on the stove, making Lawrence smile. "The tea's almost done, luvs. It's the good kind from my 'ome. I 'ope you like it, Lorwynn."

Mm. The "darling" had been nice. Lorwynn hadn't missed it. He smiled, liking the feelings the word evoked, which was odd, because he himself used it often and very carelessly.
I've got it really, really bad, he thought again. But really, was that so bad? A crush once in a while couldn't hurt, could it?
"I'm sure I'll love the tea," he replied. Lawrence was nice, too. He tilted his head to the side to watch the "mother" and son, noticing mannerisms and physical features that were extremely similar.
He thought of his own family. Jeskara... he hadn't been home in a month. Huh. Well. It's not like anyone minded... which wasn't to say that they didn't care. It was just that everyone was too caught up in lust and passion and everything else under the nonexistent-sun. If he didn't go back soon, they'd start to worry.
He'd deal with that later.
For now, it was just good to be here. With Lawrence.
With Kerin.
In the house that smelled like flowers.

Lawrence smiled at that and poured the hot water into three cups before handing a packet to his son and Lorwynn. "What you need to do now is to open that up and dip it into the 'ot water. Then it starts to turn brown," he explained ad he handed them each spoons. "Then you use these to stir it up...And that's 'ow you make tea."
Kerin smiled and completed his own tea before looking over and saw that Lorwynn was having a bit of trouble. He shrugged and put his arms around the Incubus and helped him fix the drink. "Like this," he said quietly after a moment before pulling his arms back to his own side.

Lorwynn had been just about to ask for help -- and Jeskara, that would have been embarassing!-- when Kerin wrapped his arms around him and helped him anyways.
He had nice arms.
He fought the blush, something he hadn't had much practice doing. He didn't BLUSH! HE MADE OTHER PEOPLE BLUSH, DAMMIT! REALLY!
"Thanks," he muttered softly. "This is all kind of new..."
He picked up the cup and took a small sip, eyes widening. "That's really good!" he exclamied.
