Manni laughed. "A lot of people aren't. Stupid back-water planet! It needs to except its brotherly planets so I can eat it's food more openly!" He laughed again. "That stuff's from China. A region on Earth. They make the best food ever!!"

'Manni has a nice laugh,' Lakin thought, deciding he liked to hear the other boy laugh. He decided he liked the brunette in general. He was nice and cute and funny... A small smile formed on his face as he simply stared at Manni. He believed he could stare at the other boy forever. 'Where did that come from?' he asked himself.
He didn't get to think on it further, though, as he noticed he was getting a strange look from him. "Oh, um..," he coughed and sat up. 'How long was I staring?' "So... um... do you visit Earth often? To eat in China?" he asked, stumbling a little bit.
((4 pages... wow. We've only been doing this for a few days, too. That's cool.))

Manni looked down at his companion and noticed him staring at him with a look that made him think... well, less than wholesome thoughts. He cursed his friends for perversing his mind. Manni's thoughts jumped back on track when the boy coughed and asked him a question. He shrugged as an answer.
"Not really. We only go there every once-in-awhile 'cause if they figured out where we were from they would really freak out and then the whole planet would be all crazy. But, ya know, I should take you some time! That'd be so much fun!"

"Yeah!" Lakin said excitedly. "I've never been to the back-water planet, it'll be cool." 'Especially if you're there,' he couldn't help thinking. He shook his head and asked, "When does the food come?"

Manni was glad the boy was so excited by the idea... even though he didn't take into consideration that Lakin was going to be gone soon. Once he remembered that he felt a small stab in his chest, though he tried to ignore it.
"When does the food come?" Just as he asked a fae came up to them carrying a huge tray of food.
Manni smiled. "Hey Vy! What's new?" Vy, the green tinted cook, raised an eyebrow at him.
"You used that mangy computer to hack into the kitchen's order board again, didn't you?" Manni blushed at the accusation. "You little punk," the man laughed, "Mesk was all giving me a hard time, too. Jeez..... hey, who's this? I thought you guys got an extra plate." The fae shrugged. "I just though it was Manni. Everyone knows he eats more than twice is weight in food daily." The pilots laughed while Manni curled into himself in embarressment.
"I don't eat THAT much!!!"

Lakin looked down at his soup when Vy placed it in front of him. "Thanks," he mumbled. He was feeling a little angry that everyone was picking on Manni. So what if he liked to eat? It was healthy to eat. He took a sip of the soup, telling himself that they were just joking around so it was okay. After Vy left they began to eat. The pilots remained relatively quiet while they ate, which made Lakin happy because he didn't like to see food in people's mouths while they talked.
"Hey Manni," Lakin said after a few moments. Manni looked over expectantly and the wizard had to smile. "You have... um... heh," he said, gaining a questioning look from the boy. "You have a bit rice on your chin," he said. He reached over, wiping it off with his thumb. He let his fingers rest on the boy's face a moment too long, enjoying the feeling of his skin. When he relized what he was doing and blushed and pulled his hand away quickly

Manni could feel his face heating up the longer Lakin's fingers remained on his face. Though, once he removed his hand, the brunette felt a bit disappointed. Manni coughed once to clear his throat.
"Th-thanks." And he continued eating.... and eating.... and eating. Okay, so maybe he did eat a lot.

Lakin finished his soup quickly. He wondered what Manni thought of him. First he hugs him, then the rice thing.... 'I hope he doesn't think I'm some kind of... weirdo or something,' he thought mildly, sneaking a glance at the brunette.
He sighed, "Manni? I'm feeling tired. I think I'll turn in early." He paused for minute. "I don't really remember where your room is though...."

Manni looked up from wiping his face with his sleeve. "Ya know, I think I'm done too. I take you back, okay?" He jumped up and waved good-bye to his friends before leading the boy out of the cafeteria.

Lakin nodded towards the pilots with a small smile on his face before following Manni out into the halls. "Soo," he mumbled when they got to the room. "What did we decide for the um sleeping arrangements?" he asked. He knew Manni had been implying that they could sleep in the same bed, but he never said it. He felt a little excited at the thought of sleeping in the same bed as the little brunette, but quickly brushed those thoughts away.

Manni stood stock-still at the question. Didn't he already face enough embarresment today?! The gods hated him. That's all there was to it, they wanted him to die of embarresment in front of the black-haired wizard.
"Umm...... well, maybe.... if you don't mind that is.... emmm.... we could sh-share the bed-d?"

"I don't mind," Lakin said. He reached into his pocket for an extra hairband and tied his hair back into a ponytail. "As long as you're fine with it, I am," he told Manni, realizing after he said it that this could go on forever. He chuckled, and had the sudden urge to ruffle the boy's hair. He didn't though, he didn't want the brunette to be anymore nervous than he already was.

Manni watched as Lakin pulled his hair into a ponytail and wondered if really felt as soft as it looked. Then he started blushing like crazy again, silently yelling at himself to calm down.
"O-okay," he spit out. Manni moved and started digging through his dresser for a pair of pajama pants to sleep in. Once he found his favorite ones, the hand-me-downs his oldest brother had given to him- brown and yellow with maroon swirls, he moved to his bathroom to change into them.
Then he remembered that Lakin didn't have anything to wear. He turned around and looked at the wizard.
"Uh... I don't know if I have anything that will fit you to sleep in...."

"Hmm," Lakin mumbled. "I could... just sleep in my pants," he suggested. He didn't know why he wore pants under his robes, you couldn't see them. It was just weird going around without pants on. He began to play with a loose thread on one of his sleaves. "That is, if you don't mind me sleeping shirtless," he said quickly.
