Felafel followed after Hastings, looking at everything. Of course he knew many of the stores already from when he lived there, but new things were always popping up in different places. Much like the pet shop they stopped in front of, for example.
He tugged on his mate's hand, trying to get a closer look at the squirming animals. "Aw...How adorable," he cooed. The creatures looked at him through the glass and began doing little tricks to get his attention.

Hastings eyes the... thing. "What in the worlds is that?"

Felafel shrugged and made a face before brightening. "Let's go in and ask the owner!" he suggested.

Hastings agreed and allowed himself to be pulled inside. Finding a gentleman that looked like he knew what he was about, he asked just what the creature was.
"That there, my find gentlemen, is a semi-drag!" The man went on to tell the histopry of the small dragon-like creature. IOt was the size of a teddy bear and grew only as big as a dog. They came in all colors with different shapes on wings. (best thing I could come up with)

Felafel smiled at the man and nodded his head in thanks for the information. The animal was a curious little thing, but most were rather cute. He pulled away from Hastings to peer at one inside it's cage.
It was had a white tinge to it's soft leathery skin. It's wings were more like a bird's wings then that of a Dragons though. The animal looked up at him with giant black eyes and yipped.
The Mentsiquarian smiled at it before looking at the man again. "Are they dangerous?" he asked.

"'Course not, m'boy! They can get a wee bit yippee sometimes though, But very good with house trainin' and thing of the like. They make good messengers too."
Hastings stared at the thing, he supposed it would be good practice for both he and his mate, carign for the creature before the child came.

Felafel smiled and turned back to the little creature. "Heya, cutie...," he whispered, reaching his hands into the cage to play with the animal. It put it's front paws on his arm and seemed to grin up at him.
"You mean they're like those Earth carrier pigeons?" he asked the man; his back still turned.

The man reddened a bit, "I am not really ... familiar with Earthbound things, sir. But they do make excellent messengers."
Hastings thought over the responsibilities of an animal a bit more before proclaiming, "I think we'll have one."

Felafel played with the creature a few more minutes, giggling before the words his mate said registered in his mind. "...We'll take it?" he asked startled before turning around to look at Hastings' with wide eyes. "Really!?"
At the other's small nod, a huge smile lit up his face and he jumped into the other's arms. Well...Not really 'jumped'; that upset his belly too much. "That's so cool!"

Hastings shook his head and smiled at his mates slang. "He's your's, my love," was all he could really think to say. A bit embarassed by the sudden public attention to... though with his mate around he really should just get over it.
Nodding to the salesman, he watched as the man grabbed the semi-drag that his mate had been playing with. The man moved the creature over to a counter grabbing a carrying cage on the way. "You guys will need this, when semi's first get bought they tend to like to dance."

Felafel looked over curiously. "They dance? Wow...," he said somewhat in awe before turning back to Hastings. "You know, I hope our kids like him. I always wanted a pet when I was little, but living in the city with both parents working makes one kinda hard to have. I'm glad we're getting one." He laughed and buried his head against his mate's chest.

Hastings smiled and paid the man. Then, taking his mate's hand and the carryig cart for the animal, they left the store. "Anything else?" he asked, silently hoping that it was, the place was bginning to get very crowded and it made him very uncomfortable.

Felafel smiled softly at his mate and shook his head. He could feel the other was getting uncomfortable and it wasn't as if he really needed anything. "I think not," he said. Besides, they probably bought more then they already should have. "I don't think we'll have to go shopping at all again actually. Well, maybe when we get back home, we might for some nursery furniture and bigger clothes for me...but that's it really."

"Wonderful, now how in Parinenai do we get out of here?" He said playfully, though there was a serious note to his voice. Being used to the forests and trees as he was he was not used to all the people at all and so felt a bit lost.

Felafel looked around before he sighed. “Um…” He spun around for a moment with his finger pointing out before tottering and falling into Hastings. “Sorry!” he squeaked dizzily before pushing off his mate’s chest to stand straight.
“I…think we came that way, so we should probably go back that direction…Right?” He pointed down one way and shrugged. “Or…We can look into finding one of those information booths…”
