Pine nodded, while Sycamore shook is head. "Yes, you might meet my mate later. He was a wandering bard, a Fae," Pine said, smiling softly. "It was fortunate that Gamma stopped for him."
To the side, Sycamore sighed. "I, however, am still rather unlucky. I've yet to meet anyone that's taken my fancy. What about you? No mate, I'll assume, because no one has come after our caravan with a loaded weapon, ready to fight us to the death for you. True story, by the way," he stated matter-of-factly. "But, perhaps your mate's here. I mean, look what happened to Pine and Mister Fancy-Flying-Pants-OW! Pine!"
"Don't call him that," the older scolded before turning back to Zeraek. "Don't worry. You'll find your mate when you're destined."

Zeraek bit back a smile at the brothers' banter. "I know I will," he stated quickly, trying to keep Sycamore from cutting in a quip at his brother. "Eventually we'll find each other, but... until then, well, how does this look?" he asked as he held up a bracelet. It was sort of plain, but he liked it none the less.

Pine smiled. "Very pretty," he complimented before moving to show the youth some other accessories. "Here, you can try using some of these, if you want. It's really not so hard after a while."
The male's brother nodded. "Yeah, you'll catch on before you know it," Sycamore said cheerfully. "Though, while we work, how about we gossip! Or, something similar...What would you like to know about our clan, or well, do you have any interesting tales to share?"

Zeraek smiled shyly, grateful for the compliment on his work. Hesitantly, he started to work on something that wasn't a bracelet. Necklaces were different, right? The dark-haired boy looked to Sycamore and shrugged. "I don't think I have any really interesting stories. My life is pretty boring, or it was anyway, until I came here, but I haven't even been with you guys a whole day, so I guess that doesn't really count. Uhm... Oak, that boy that brought me to you two, he's your brother, right? He made it seem like you guys have a lot of trades. Acrobatics and jewelry and stuff. What other kinds of things are there?"

Sycamore flipped a strand of his blond hair out of the way and smiled slightly. It was sort of embarassing for him to say, but..."Yes. We do have a lot of trades, I suppose. There's just a lot of us and when someone picks up a new trade, others learn. We play music, dance, cards, a few sword-swallow...That kind of thing," he said.
Pine rolled his eyes. "Well, we aren't all that great. I do jewellery, cook, and knit."

Zeraek smiled widely. "That's great! I can't do much of any of those things," he stated before blushing in embarressment. "Well, I mean, I can cook a little bit," he explained in his own defense, "but my parents mostly just tried to teach me how to run their store. It's all very boring and completely useless."

Pine reached out and patted Zeraek's head at those words. "Aw, dear. Don't worry. We promise that you'll learn how to do some of that stuff," he said. "We have all this time in the world to teach you. There's so many things you could be good at!" Sycamore nodded his agreement.

Zeraek grinned. He was glad he was here, around people that pressed expansion and fun instead of just the same old things. His parents had no interest in teaching him fun things, just work things. He could count rather well, but what good would that do him at any other time? He wanted, for once, to have fun and not worry about what so-and-so will think of him. Finally, he was in a place where he could relax and enjoy himself.
He could all sorts of things! He realized this as Pine spoke. He could learn to be a good lifebearer that wasn't boring. He could learn to play music! He could... He could. "Like dancing? You and Oak mentioned dancing! Could I learn that, do you think?" People always look like their having fun when their dancing, right? Where was a better place to start having fun?

"Of course!" Both lifebearers beamed at him. "Dancing is one of the best creative expressions out there! It's anything and everything you want it to be. Playful and fun or seductive and enchanting!"
Pine nodded. "When do you want to learn?" he asked, curiously. "We could go now if you want. Some other cousins are entertaining some fairgoers right now..."
"Or we could teach you now and you can join the rest of them later," Sucamore suggested.

Zeraek beamed with joy. "Can we go now? Are you both finished with your crafts? You don't have to stop because of me," he stated, though he really did want to go now. He felt it would be rude to just force them to leave their things unfinished. "I can wait."
