Alyxandyr looked up, laughing as well. Omelettes and scrabled eggs? He'd have to fix him some toast or something, for variety. He'd have to find something sweet, too. He didn't know what, though. Of course, the apartment had been loaded with sweets as soon as they returned to Zerca, but there was still a problem with choosing what you wanted when you got a craving for sugar. He'd struggle to decide later, though, when he wasn't feeding Hiroki. He just couldn't handle focusing on two things at once.
"Alright. You've just gotta suck the fun out of everything, now don't you?" The older man teased, gently plucking the bottle from the baby's mouth after a moment to let him breathe. After a moment, he popped it back into the boy's mouth, looking over to the boy who didn't seem to be having many problems at all with the dual egg cooking. He slid out of the chair he'd been sitting in, carefully pushing it back under the dining room table with his foot as he strolled over to get a better look.
"So, what're we going to do until one?" Alyxandyr asked, leaning back against the counter, out of the way. It was only about half past eight, so they still had quite a bit of time left. Of course, they still needed to eat, he needed to take a shower, and a few other thing, but he doubted that would last near four hours. He probably could've stopped by the office in that amount of time and get a few things he needed to finish.. but there was nothing fun about paperwork and such. He'd put that off for a few more days... or call Holden back and tell him to do them.

By the time Alyxandyr came over to check on the food, the scrambled eggs were starting to fluff up and the omelet had taken shape. Nami had also taken out three dished and had them set aside on the counter, ready for when he dubbed the food cooked and ready for serving. Nami looked towards Alyxandyr when the man came over, smiling at him and Hiroki as he slipped an oven mitt onto his hand. He took hold of the handle on the omelet frying pan and lifted it gently. Skillfully flipping the omelet by tossing it into the air and catching it in the pan, Nami set the pan back down on the stove as he moved the scrambled eggs around to check for wetness.
" Well, after you finish feeding Hiroki and burp him he's going to be sleepy so I'll put him down for a nap. That should take up some time until like eleven. I still have to clean up around here here too so I'll do that when he's sleeping. When he wake's up I'll give him a bath unless you want to this time. Then I'll take a shower and get ready and that should take me up until one. You can relax until then, Mr. Demitrios. " Nami said, smiling and laughing towards Alyxandyr as he turned off the burner underneath the scrambled eggs pan. Nami then picked up the pan with the oven mitt-covered hand and brought it over to the dishes, spilling half of the fluffy eggs into each dish. He then set the pan in the sink, walking back over to omelet and checked on it. It looked golden yellow, which was what he wanted so he dubbed it done too. Switching off the burner, Nami brought that pan over to the dishes too sliding the omelet into the third plate. Placing the pan in the sink as well, Nami took off the mit and put it away before walking over to the utensil drawer. He took out a knife, taking the dish with the omelet and cut it in half. Sliding one half of the omelet into each plate, Nami slid the knife into the sink and let out a sigh. " Ready! Now for the other things. Toast, juice, jam, and the such alright? " Nami said, taking each plate into his hands and headed for the table, not before planting a kiss on the older man's lips and a kiss on Hiroki's forehead.
Setting the plates at a chair on the table, Nami headed back for the kitchen to grab the other items. He took out two forks and two knives, napkins, two glasses and headed back for the table. Once he set the table, he headed back for the refrigerator and opened it pulling out a carton of orange juice, butter, strawberry jam and shut the door. Once those were set on the table, Nami let out another puff of air up to his bangs and headed back to get his tea. As he walked past the coffee maker, it pinged and Nami looked to see the coffee was ready. " Oh, your coffee's ready, dear. " Nami said, pointing as he went and picked up his tea. He took a sip, finding it the right temperature and took a longer sip. He then took out the tea bag and threw it away, turning back to Alyxandyr and Hiroki with a smile. " I'll get the toast started, why don't you go sit down and eat? "

Alright, so Nami had the schedule planned out perfectly, which was great. Now he didn't have to do any decision making of his own quiet yet. He could get in a quick shower somewhere and maybe help out with the housework. He didn't have anything else to do, so repenting for the time spent not at work pulling his weight was good enough. Though, that repentance really wasn't necessary. He pulled more than enough weight in his own way. Without him, there wouldn't have been a company. Without him, there wouldn't be enough money to keep the place running. Even besides that, Alyxandyr was more intellectual and sharp than he credited himself to. He was a smooth talker and any trouble the lot of them got into, he could easily negotiate his way right back out with minimal to no losses. In the past, he'd don ethis by seduction, but he could manage just a bit of presuasive talk now. It'd be a challenge.
"You do too much, Nami. After you put Hiroki to sleep, I'll clean and you can do whatever. Then you can give him a bath. I'm still not good with the whole bathing the baby deal yet." Alyxandyr looked over his shoulder at the blonde boy as he walked to the high chair, plucking the bottle from the baby's mouth, figuring he'd had just enough to keep him satisfied. Besides, there was little to nothing left in the bottle. By a baby's standards, he'd figured that was a whole hell of a lot, but he didn't know for sure. He stood by the table, hoisting the little boy to rest against his shoulder as he gently tapped his back, the Zercan's eyes still following Nami about the kitchen. "I'll get in a shower whenever, or if there's not enough time, I'll just get one when I get back. Doesn't matter."
Once the process of burping Hiroki was finished, he set the boy into the high chair while the other was busy and he was off to get his coffee. He moved past the other and into the kitchen, grabbing a cup from the cabinet and pouring himself a cup. He placed the pot back onto the brewer before mixing in a bit of sugar with his drink, though not enough for it to really be too noticable. He couldn't stand his coffee purely untreated or too sweet. And cream? Gods, no, that stuff was terrible. Cup in hand, the white-haired Zercan returned to his seat at the table after placing a kiss on the boy's cheek on the way there. "You're so cute when your slaving away for me. I'm not worthy."

" Heh, your flattery over the fact I look cute when I haven't gotten ready yet makes up for your unworthiness. " Nami said, laughing happily as he slipped toast into the 4-slot toaster and pressed the toast down. Taking another sip from his tea, Nami returned the mug down on the counter and waltzed over to Hiroki. He smiled at the baby, who was now banging a black rattle against the table attached to the high-chair. "Come on, little one. Let's put you in your playpen until we're done eating. " Nami said, picking the toddler out form the chair and held him against his hip and in his arms. Hiroki blinked gently, raised the rattle and brought it down against Nami's head. " Ow! " Nami squeaked, wincing gently and made a face at the toddler. It caused Hiroki to laugh as Nami brought him over to the play pen that was a few feet from the table Alyxandyr was sitting at in the living room. Nami set the toddler inside amongst the other toys; stuffed animals, rattles, bounceable balls, blocks, and other things that would entertain the child.
" I know I do too much, but it's not like I'm forced to do it. It's what I like. It's kind of like..." Nami started as he headed back from putting Hiroki in his playpen, taking his seat across from Alyxandyr at the table once he went and got his tea. Though, he didn't sit down for more than twenty seconds when the toast popped in the toaster. He blinked and smiled, getting up again to go an retrieve the toast. Once he had plucked the toast from the toaster, he put them in a dish and set them on the table as he sat down. " Now I can officially say breakfast is ready. " Nami said, smiling and taking a sip of his tea with a hand while the other pulled his hair free from the pony-tail he had it in for cooking.

"You like to slave away at the stove and cleaning?" Alyxandyr looked over at his mate, amused, "Well, you're a lot weirder than I thought you were. I've never met someone that liked to do housework."
Alyxandyr smiled, showing he was just kidding, as he reached across the table to get a piece of toast. He didn't eat much as it was, but breakfast was the one meal he could live without. If it wasn't for the fact that he had Nami to wake up to every morning, he much would've prefered to just sleep in every morning. That was what he had done before he brought his mate back to Zerca. The office had just came to expect him walking in at about noon, give or take an hour, at his own leisure. No one had said anything (save Holden, but that was just because he had always been a stick in the mud) because he was the one their bi-weekly paychecks relied on. As far as they were concerned, he didn't even have to walk in the door at all as long as they were paid--a priviledge that Alyxandyr often took advantage of, like he was today.
"Still, whether you like it or not, you deserve some rest," He added, taking a bite from the corner of the piece of toast he had picked up earlier. He chewed thoughtfully before swallowing the bite, continuing even further, "It's not like I've ever done a bit of cleaning or anything in this house anyway. Before you came to Zerca, I just had a maid come in every weekend to clean. It's about time that I at least try to condition myself to actually doing things myself."
As true as the statement was, it only applied to his home life. Alyxandyr had no intentions to go do something productive at work at good ninety percent of the time before Nami had came to Zerca and now that his mate was living with him and he had a son, he that number only rose. Sure, by doing such, he risked giving Holden an anurysm from overworking him, but he was like Nami in a sense. He liked to work.... Both of them were just weird. But, regardless, actual work-work and home-work were different things. Tidying up the already neat apartment and cleaning up after breakfasy was easy compared to sitting behind a desk all day, answering yes or no questions, and answering a call now and then to answer even more yes or not questions.
At least, it was from Alyxandyr's point of view.

Nami let a bit of muffled laughter slip past his lips, rolling his emerald eyes at the fact he wasn’t going to win this debate. Instead he just nodded in defeat to Alyxandyr as he stabbed at the fluffy golden eggs in one of his plates. As he ate, he was making a list of things he had to do before his mate forced him to rest. He still had to take a shower, give Hiroki a bath, get dressed, do some of the cleaning and even the dishes. He shrugged mentally to himself; married life wasn’t always a picnic and free sex. It was hard work, dedication, and free sex.
As Nami was cutting into his omelet, his ears picked up the small laughter of the toddler a couple feet away from the table. Turning his head to glance at his son, the sudden flurry of white and baby blue came into vision. Hiroki had learned to throw things rather recently and now had thrown a rattle at Nami. He eeped rather loudly, before taking the rattle to the forehead. He blinked gently, setting his knife and fork down on the plate before rubbing the spot on his forehead. “Oww…are Zercan babies supposed to have some strength on them?” Nami said, glancing over at Alyxandyr before bending over to pick up the rattle.
He smiled as he headed over to his laughing son, bending at the knees to make faces through the protective net around the boy. Hiroki crawled away in fun, Nami following before setting the rattle into the play-pen. After giving his son some love in the form of hugs, he started back for the table.
Though, Nami didn’t make more than two steps before stopping. He felt funny, like he had a headache or something. He started seeing little red spots in his vision, his knees suddenly feeling week. He took another step and doubled over, falling sideways against the couch. He clutched onto the arm as he tried to pull himself up, waves of dizziness coming over him too fast. He looked over at Alyxandyr, his eyes suddenly had become darkend and hollow. “Alyx…” he strained out, before the world turned dark and he collapsed to the floor next to the couch and play-pen. Hiroki seemed to notice something was wrong, having stood up so that his little hands were clutching the top of the net and cried at his fallen parent.

Alyxandyr couldn't help but laugh as the other was beamed with the airborne rattle. Hiroki always had the weirdest ways of getting someone's attention when he wanted it. Whether it was tossing something, bursting out into 'baby talk', or sobbing and screaming his little lungs out, he always got what he wanted. Not that either of his parents were unwilling to pamper the everliving hell out of him. Nami was just a softie for kids by his very nature, it seemed, and the boy had grown on the older, silver-haired male quickly.
"I guess they would have my strength than a huamn kid. But I couldn't tell you from experience. I've never been around many babies of any species," Alyxandyr shrugged one of his shoulders, continuing to pick at his breakfast. In fact, he had barely finished his piece of toast before Nami collapsed. He turned his head to see what was wrong, only to spring out of the chair seconds later to rush to the other's side.
"Shit! Nami, what's wrong?" He asked frantically, aware that the other had seemed to lose consciousness. As 'manly' as Alyxandyr acted a good majority of the time, it didn't mean he couldn't have the shit scared out of him whenever the person he sincerely loved blacked out right in the middle of the living room. This hadn't ever happened before... Nami certainly hadn't seemed sick before. It was like whatever was ailing him had managed to cultivate itself within his body in five minutes time without the least little warning signal. This was what made the other worry so much. While medi-boxes could fix just about everything, they couldn't bring people back from the dead. With how fast the sickness had shown itself, what if it was fatal? The older male ignored Hiroki for the moment, picking his mate up in his arms. This wasn't good and he had no idea what to do, "Damn it, you better be okay! Come on.. Wake up. Please."

Nami laid in unconsciousness, his breathing coming out in painful gasps. His closed eyes were twitching, as if something inside was hurting him so bad. A hand subconsciously drifted up to Alyxandyr’s shirt, a tight grip forming around the material. His body was scrunching tighter together, shivering gently as he continued to experience the spasms. Then suddenly, they stopped. As did everything else. The grip Nami had on Alyxandyr’s shirt loosened, to the point where his hand fell limpy against his stomach. All the twitching and shaking slowed to a stop. Then, something worse happened.
He stopped breathing.
For the next two minutes, Nami lay still without a single breath inwards. Just as suddenly as this episode had come, Nami’s eyes suddenly opened and it took a large painful breath in. He started coughing from the lack of oxygen to his lungs, tears spilling past his eyes as he realized what just happened. By now he had developed a fever, sweat seemed to pour from his forehead. Whatever Nami had sudden contracted, it was good. Once Nami seemed to get enough air to his lungs, the coughing stopped as he continued to pant gently now from the fever. He kept crying though, realizing he had just died for two minutes. It seemed the sudden illness had caused his heart to stop for mere moments before his brain kicked it back on. Nami knew what this was too, that’s why he was crying.

Illness was something that Alyxandyr was not used to. He'd had a strong immune system ever since he had been born. It was just one of his quirks. The only time he had ever ended up having to take a trip to the hospital was for the very rare cold or one of the few incidents where he'd ended up just a bit too angry at someone and gotten himself hurt in a fight. Now had Alyxandyr ever been around anyone who had been prone to illness. It had never been an issue for him to deal with--directly or indirectly. So, whenever the other had suddenly fell ill, he honestly had no idea what to do. This wasn't just a cold, he could easily tell. Nami was seriously in bad shape and he had no idea what to do.
Nothing came to mind, either, when his mate stopped breathing entirely. He was just stunned and worried sick. Never before had such a tremendous string of foul language left his mouth in one instant.
He was just about to stop breathing out of pure shock himself until the younger boy started coughing. Again, he was stunned, but immediately slutched the blonde boy to his chest in a tight hug. If he'd squeezed the poor, ill boy any harder, he probably would've broken him into halves. He was just glad to know that he was still alive, though. Honestly, he didn't know what he would've done without Nami around. Life just seemed impossible to live without the younger boy around, even if he still had the little baby Hiroki around to keep him company.
"Damn it, Nami! What's wrong with you!? Don't you ever scare me like that again!" He growled. As harsh as his tone may have seemed, it wasn't hard to see that he was just alarmed. He rested his cheek against the top of the boy's head, sighing quietly. The zercan was calming down a bit now, though trembling slightly, "You just died in my arms.. Why?"

[[ This has to be the shortest post I have ever made. >< I feel so crummy about it! I am el sorry! ]]
“Im sorry, Im sorry, Im sorry….”
All Nami felt he could was apologize. He wasn’t ready for this, it was all happening so fast. Nami shivered gently against Alyxandyr, eyes rolling over to glance at the wailing Hiroki. A shaking hand reached out to his child, fingers trailing against the tears-covered cheek to try and calm his son down. At least Hiroki was saved from going through this, that was a plus. Nami was feeling dizzy; he could tell the fever was getting too high.
“Alyx…I need to…lie down…bedroom…bring Hiroki and…some fever-killers…I’ll…explain everything then…”
