Crash and Burn (PG-13+)

[Cameron]

Cameron smiled, wiggling his fingers to make the bandaging more comfortable. He grinned before mumbling his thanks, thinking for a bit. "Nothing that I have in mind, but I do need clothes. I mean, I could probably get by with some pajamas and three or four outfits. And that's good for me - I usually zip right through outfits. I think the most I've had on in a week and actually wore them somewhere was ten," the Humanoid replied, resting his head on the back of the couch. "Other than that, though, I have no idea..."

[Bast]

Sebastian opened his mouth to answer his mate, but was quickly interrupted by his little brother. "I know, I know!" he cheered. "We can go shopping then! My brother really doesn't have any suitable clothes, if you hadn't noticed. Mostly just blacks and pants with holes!"

The older Zercan's ears flicked around a bit and he made a huffy sound. "My clothes are perfectly fine, Opa...Though I suppose you're right. Cam does need some clothes of his own," he admitted. "Perhaps we can get Rye to come with the transport over here? I don't think that banages and a light pair of shoes will hold properly for a walk through the forest."

"I brought a communicator...," the redhead offered as he shrugged, biting his lip.

[Cameron]

Cameron snickered; Sebastian's clothes weren't bad; not at all! But Opa did have a point. The Humanoid couldn't wear them, especially with the holes. It might have not been incredibly hard to make them look reasonably fitting, but, had he worn them, they would definately show off a very... nice, so to speak, bit of skin.

"Sooo..." he whistled, tapping a foot on the ground. "Does that mean you can contact him? And... get him over here?"

Poor, stupid, Cam.

[Bast]

Opa blinked before smiling. "It does! I think...that it will take him about twenty minutes or so for him to get here. Is that right, Bast?"

The older cat boy tilted his head back in thought. "I believe so...That is if there's no traffic or anything, of course." He swished his tail in though while nawing lightly at his lip. "Yeah. Though I have to ask before we even get that far...Exactly what needs to be bought?"

[Cameron]

Cameron slipped on an innocent smile, waving his hand in the air as if he wished to swat a very slow-moving fly. "Only some pants, a few shirts, shampoo, other hair products, definitely some boxors, maybe some pajamas, and shoes. Oh, but it's going to be so hard to limit myself," he sighed heavily, his shoulders slumping. He bounced right back up to full gear in no time, though, tapping a finger against his lips in an impatient rhythym. "But I suppose I can, I mean, only some jeans- stylish, though; no generic-looking oddities. That's probably going to be my biggest problem. Well, pants and shirts. I tend to 'binge', so to speak, on clothes. But hair products should be fine because I don't use much of those. So."

[Bast]

'Bastian's eyes widened slightly and he just...stared for a moment or two. "You say you normally 'binge' when shopping, so..." He didn't want to ask, he really didn't. "How much is 'a few' or 'some' to you?" he asked.

In total, the Zercan had to say that he only had about...seven pants, seven shirts, six sleep clothes, and one real pair of shoes. Of course he had boxers too, but...Overall, to him that was a lot. To Cam though...it sounded like it was nothing. That's why he was almost afraid to ask and wondered if he'd regret it.

[Cameron]

"Only about a week's worth," the Humanoid said, leaning forward with his elbows on his knees, carefully resting his head on his injured hands. "And I'll tell you what. Only one pair of shoes!" He moved his hands and quickly made a heart shape with his fingers, then placed them in the same position as before. "Is that too terribly bad?"

[Bast]

Bast sighed deeply and smiled widely. "Nope. It's perfect," he said. "Actually I was afraid that you'd want a month's worth or something like that...I'm sorry, but I don't have that kind of money. Besides...We'll have to save some for maternity clothes too," he said with a rather heartwarming expression on his face, directed at Cameron.

Opa smiled at the two and slinked off quietly to get a hold of their elder brother.

[Cameron]

Cameron blushed horribly, leaning his chin on one hand too much and pressing down, making the bandage scrape across his palm. Yes, yes, let his brother know that they had just made love and now King Mean was pregnant. It didn't make Cam uncomfortable at all. And he knew it was a stupid thing to be embarrassed about. He loved his mate and he loved his child, but he was embarrassed at the even talking about maternity clothes or pregnancy, anything that hinted any mention of their earlier activities.

Oh, by the way, Cam knew he was going to have the best baby ever. Smarts, looks, charm, and fashion sense. He could get the last three from his mother - which made Cam think of himself as disturbingly feminine - but the kid would have to look toward the father for the brains. King Mean's head was as empty as his parents' wallets. Tsk, tsk, tsk.

But they would have to leave for Mentsiquar before the baby was born... his parents were probably worried sick... or celebrating that he was gone. Either way, it made him feel homesick.

[Bast]

It was quiet for a small bit as each of the room's occupants thought to themselves before Opa came bounding back into the room. He sat down on the floor next to the two and smiled up at them. "Rye says he'll be here soon. He also says...Um, what was it? Oh! Yeah. He said that he also would bring your hat, so you can come with."

A small groan left his lips and he massaged the side of his head with his thumb. "I hate that stupid thing! It hurts my ears," he said, flicking his ears about in a show of irritation.

[Cameron]

"Then don't wear it. People can see your tail, anyway," Cameron pointed out, getting up from the couch to scratch Sebastian's ears. Cameron leaned against his mate, one hand on an ear while the other covered up a yawn. "Dude," he said bluntly, dropping his hands to the side, "I usually only yawn when I sing and run out of breath." Rather pointless perhaps, but we've already established the fact that Cameron isn't as smart as a rock. Maybe his hair isn't fawn brown, but blonde.

[Bast]

Sebastian purred slightly, leaning into Cameron's hands before blinking as it was pulled away. "Well, I wear my tail around my waist as like a belt, so it doesn't stand out, but..." He shrugged and changed the subject. "So you sing?"

[Cameron]

"Er, not really," Cameron replied, clacking his teeth sharply, "Mainly just hanging out with friends and singing out of key, y'know, stupid high school stuff. But then again, I just barely graduated from high school a little over a year or go. But anyway, I don't sing. I don't think I could... so I'm not going to try and sing correctly." He fingered one of Sebastian's belt loops before hooking his thumb around it, pulling the Zercan closer for the hell of it. Plus, he made a pretty comfortable pillow.

[Bast]

Bast smiled as he put his arms around his mate. "Mm...I see." He nodded. He pressed a kiss to Cameron's temple and wrapped his tail loosely around the other's ankle. "Tired?" he asked softly, taking both the yawn and the fact that he was apparently now a pillow into account.

[Cameron]

Cameron shrugged, looking up at his mate. "Not particularly," he mumbled, licking his lips, "More like a just needed something comfy. And, I think that you only yawn when you have too much carbon dioxide in your body or something because of uneven breating, so yawning gets rid of it. But, I've never been one for science or any of that. So maybe a I was just breathing unevenly." The Humanoid grinned like a smart ass, unhooking one thumb to lift his arm and scratch Sebastian's ear.
