Mentsiquar
The industrial planet, responsible for much of the products and crafts used by many. Sort of like an interplanetary Taiwan or Hong Kong, of sorts.
Climate: Arid in many spots, frozen in others.
Landmass: 68% land. This planet is very industrial, it holds oceans, though it has to buy its water from other planets, as its own is very polluted from industry. Its land is broken into ten large masses.
Capitol: Kerplastin
Species:
Humanoid- The people of this planet have no special powers other than to create products and crafts to sell to other planets. They are busy workers, for the most part. The ruling class is small and they’re very rich. The average Mentsiquaran is lower-middle class, rough and hardworking. On their off hours, Mentsiquarans like to unwind at the local bar for some “drek-ale” and laughs.
Other planet life:
The food supply is generally imported, due to the pollution problems. Drek-ale is a domestic product, however, made from steeping leaves from the drek tree and fermenting the resulting liquid. The planet’s animal life is scarce, also due to the highly-industrialized climate and heavy pollution conditions. Bird-life consists of the gonias, raptor-like things with long beaks and red bodies. There are also dwonis and equibics, rodents with black or yellow fur that live mostly in the drek forests. All other animal life is presumed extinct.
Though it occasionally entertains visitors from neighboring planets, Mentsiquar isn’t considered a favored destination, unless you want to make a deal on a shipload of goods for your home planet.
Some Mentsiquarans leave the planet when they come of legal age and find work on a supply ship, or even move to other, more desirable planets, though most times they’re seen as a source for inexpensive but qualified labor.
