Halen's face scrunched up in an effort to keep his shit together before turning his face away. "It doesn't matter."

"Yes it does. Baby, you matter to me." Sparxx said, shaking his head. "I knnow I haven't done what you wanted, but your father and your entire family has been going through issues. I will talk to him later today, now that Van's alright. But I refuaed to do aanything before that time."

Was he really that selfish? Halen wondered, pondering over his own actions. "I want... I want you to tell him because you really want to be with me. Forever, Spar. Not because I'm making you. I know I..." he took a deep breath and admitted it. "I know I coerced you into this dalliance. But I can't help how I feel. You need to decide what you want and who. And if it's not me... well, I'll accept that. Just be honest."

"Halen, I love you. How many times do I have to say it before you believe me? I love you. You. Are. Mine. End of story, baby." Sparxx said with a sigh.

Halen sobbed before giving in and launching himself at the man, holding him tight and attacking his mouth. "I'm sorry," he said against his lips. "I love you too," another kiss. "I just... didn't want to force you."

Neither heard the door open behind them.

They did hear Gamma clear his throat though, as the big male observed his eldest in the arms of his best friend.

"Do I get an explanation?" He asked with a frown.

"Uh," Halen said stupidly.

Sparxx looked at Gamma. "Chief..."

"When were you planning on telling me you were fucking my son?" He asked.

"It's not like that, dad," Halen said, holding Sparxx's hand tightly. "We're in love."

Gamma nodded. "Mhm. So you haven't been fucking for the past year?"

Sparxx frowned. "Chief...I was going to tell you but..."

"No, we haven't," Halen growled. "We've been making love."

"He's mine." Sparxx said. "This man's my mate dammit. Nothing and no one has ever been right for me until Halen. He's mine."

Gamma stared at the pair a long while before -- "Jiri."

"Leave them alone, Gamma," Jiri said softly. "They can't help it and you should be counting your lucky stars. Your son and best friend are happy now, finally. Besides, you could be like my father and have Lev Arson as a son in law. Be thankful."

Halen smiled at his mom.

Gamma just shrugged then. Fuck it. He had no.energy to be angry over this. Instead, he went oiut to contact Aida and Drakary about Van's recovery.

"That..." Halen murmured after his parents walked away. "Was easy. I can't believe we've been hiding all this time over that." He smiled then and yanked his man down for a deeper kiss. "I guess this means I can finally move into your bachelor pad, huh?"
