The Joining Master, a very busy man, transferred there and immediately took in the scene. "Calm down, Sir, we'll figure this out. Now please explain what is going on."

The Joining Master, well versed in Earth languages explained the situation to Minam in Korean before informing Loch to learn Korean from the com. "Sir," he said to Minam, "Once a Zercan claims his mate that bearer is his. You will, by Zercan law, be mated - essentially married - and bear him sons. You will share everything that is his and yours together."

The Joining Master winced as if this was what he was fearing. "Please reconsider and give your mate a chance, Mr. Minam. It is a much easier way to go than house restriction for the pair of you."
"What?" Lochlan immediately turned to the man. "For the both of us? I have businesses to run, the House of Lords to consider, my good man. Surely you are-"
"It states is section 73 line 842 of Zercan law that any mate or mate's who refuse one another will be subject to house arrest in the company of one another until such time as a mating occurs. It is a new law brought on by the massacre a few years ago when a male who was denied his mate killed every man to come within a few feet of him. Unmated Joinings are dangerous."
