Levi nodded. "Four--officially. But much more than that if you take in my brother-in-law's family."

"Ah. Sounds like a handful. I couldn't imagine dealing with anymore than Gunner on a daily basis. That kid drives me up the wall when it comes to boys and he's only ten. Stars help the men of Mentsiquar when he comes of age," he joked.

"He's a bearer, right?" Levi asked.

"Yeah," he nodded.

"You'd better be careful. It stops being cute when Givers realize that they're stronger," he said, shaking his head.

[ode]

Oscar immediately frowned. "What do you mean?"

"This behavior's cute right now, kissing boys in elementary school. But when the voices drop and the muscles form-- it could be dangerous for him if a giver he chose to just kiss wants to do more," Levi said, staring down into his drink. "You have to explain this to him. Because I don't think he knows."

Oscar felt a chill run down his spine at the mere thought. "You're right. Thats an approach I haven't tried yet." Trying to steer away from that subject, he asked, "When did you move here from Zerca? You are from there right?"

"Four years ago." Levi said, taking a drink. "And I am."

[ode]

"I'm part Zercan but I've never been there. Have you ever met the Shodan?" he asked curiously.

"Seen him, on occasion," Levi shrugged. "He wasn't really a factor in my life back then."

[ode]

"Sorry. Guess he sounds like a superstar to me since my parents always told me stories about Zerca but I've never acually been there," he admitted.

"You should go sometime. It's a pretty place, at least." he said, taking another sip.

"Maybe. Maybe you could show me around there someday," he said with a soft smile.

Levi said nothing to that. He never really planned on going back to Zerca.
