(Venice? I think you got the wrong brother =) )
Damon watched the other move slowly, extremely weak from blood loss, and touch his lips. He knew exactly what the man was asking for. He stood and moved over to where Ellis kept his supplies. He grabbed the nearest canteen, he’d give the doctor some of his to replace it later, and returned to the man’s side.
He placed an arm behind the man’s back, helping him sit up slowly but kept his weight on Damon. He held the canteen to the man’s lips “Drink slowly, you’re very weak and you could be sick if you drink it too fast.” Damon let the man drink as much as he needed then placed the canteen on the floor by the bed.
He then carefully laid the other back down on the bed. He wiped a few strands of hair off his face frowning at how cold his skin felt. He pulled a cover over him to keep him warm and pulled up a chair to sit next to the bed. Hopefully them man would get some sleep, he needed to rest and if he was awake Damon didn’t know if Lycus would question him straight away.
He lent forward and rested his chin on his hand watching the other. The man’s chest rose and fell as he breathed and Damon just watched him, curious as to why he was this concerned for the man’s life, a man who tried to kill him and his people at that.
But here he was. He sighed and closed his eyes, he couldn’t change his mind now. Just in that moment when he collapsed in Lycus’ tent…Damon couldn’t explain the panic…pain he’d felt.

*pout* It won't let me change it...))
Trini heard the kind stranger dash off and rustle through some supplies somewhere off to the side. He wondered idly if the stranger knew that he had wanted water.
His answer was a strang pair of arms helping him sit up. Trini actually let out a weak whine as he was sat up. His side with the bruise that Pico gave him throbbed angrily. Trini tried resting his whole weight on the other side and the gentle strong man.
Finally when they were settled, Trini felt the familiar cool metal ring of a canteen on his lips. He tilted his heavy and pounding head back just a bit as he heard the stranger's smooth and deep voice coax as well as warn him.
The cool rush of the slowly flowing water felt perfect on his parched tongue and aching throat. It seemed to leave a chilly tail of wetness all the way down. He actually closed his blind eyes as the water even found a way to soothe his pounding headache just a bit.
Carefully, when he had had his fill, he tilted his head back up with a small smile. It was all he could manage as a thank you with his throat all raw and painful. He hoped tht he kind and gentle stranger saw it as he helped Trini lay back down on the cot.
Trini snuggled down a little more easily with his belly full of cool water. It seemed to chill him from the outside in though. He actually welcomed a warm blanket that seemed to come from nowhere. He smiled as big as he could to the wonderful man taking such wonderful care of him. Pico never cared for him this much. Never. Maybe when he was better, Trini hoped that he could stay with this nice guy. He had to be a real nice guy and a winner to be this sweet.
Trini was just imagining what his kind stranger looked like when he heard a chair being dragged by his bed. He smiled again softly and let sleep take him. Take him to meet this perfect gentleman somewhere wayyy better than this.

(It's ok, I knew which one you were talking about =) )
Damon’s breath hitched as the man gave him a weak but beautiful smile before he drifted off to sleep. Damon didn’t move and just watched the man, still mesmerised by the man’s smile. He’s shot this man, he was the reason he was in this situation and yet he could smile at him like that.
Guilt once again tugged at his heartstring and Damon leant back in his chair. He let his eyes flutter shut a few times, his fatigue finally catching up to him as adrenaline left his system.
In the silence of the tent it was easy to hear the crowd outside. He was thankful that Ellis was dealing it so he didn’t have to. He just didn’t feel like dealing with the inevitable questioning he’d have to go through.
He’d just closed his eyes when he heard someone enter the tent. Then there was silence until he heard another person follow them in. he waited for them to do or say something but it seemed they just stood there until he heard his bother speak.
“We should let them sleep.”
Damon thought about letting them think that and leave before he decided it wouldn’t be fair. He straightened up in the seat and opened his eyes “You can stay. Just be quiet, he’s still asleep.” He nodded at the man still sleeping in the bed. There were light bags under his eyes and Damon wanted him to get some rest. He’d need it if he was going to heal properly and go through Lycus’ questioning.
He heard the two approach him and stand next to the bed “He’s stable for now and just needs some rest. I can watch him.”

Trini found sleep easy enough. His body was hurting and it was hard to breath with this lump but just being in the company of this nice nurseman made it all feel a lot better.
Trini was kind of in a twilight world between the here and now and the deep sleep of nothingness. He could almost hear the words talking but couldn't make them out. The one voice, his nurse he guessed, was quieter and gentler than the rest. He focused on that voice and actually did fall into a deeeper sleep then.

Damon heard the two approach the bed but he didn’t turn around and kept his gaze on the sleeping man. He waited for them to say something, ask their questions but to his surprise they stayed silent. Damon was thankful for this, he didn’t want to have to explain anything to them. At least, not until he’s sorted himself out.
The other two where stood behind him so Damon didn’t see Venice move forward and throw the cover off the man until it as too late to stop him. “TRINI!”
He leapt up from his seat quickly rushing to grab the cover and gently tuck the injured man back in, not wanting him to lose any heat. He placed a hand against the man’s forehead. Still a little cold.
Once he was sure the other was still asleep and his wound hadn’t opened, Damon turned round to Venice and Aeron. “Venice…Do you know him?” He watched the small male carefully waiting for his answer to Aeron’s question. How did he know the man? There was silence for a while before Venice finally spoke.
"Trinidad is my brother," Venice said "I thought he was dead with everyone else. MY BROTHER IS ALIVE!"
What?! This man was Venice’s brother? Damon turned back to the man on the bed. His eyes widened as he slowly saw the resemblance between the two. He turned around back to Venice only to find the other in his face yelling at him. Aeron quickly grabbed his mate and tried to calm him down while Damon stood in shook. Guilt flooded his chest as he glanced again back at the man, Trinidad.
“I did shoot him, but I didn’t do this to him. I promise you Venice. Lycus wanted to question him straight away but I wanted to take him to Ellis. Unfortunately he saw me and attacked. Lycus stopped him but he went too far, I brought him here straight away.” He turned back to Venice and looked him straight in the eye. “I am truly sorry.”

Trini heard what sounded like his brother yell his name. But how? Venice was dead...
Trinidad wanted to wake up, wanted too see what the yelling was about. But he was still stuck in that limbo between deep sleep and aware. He could hear everything going on but couldn't or didn't react to it.
He listened in as he heard what sounded like his long lost dead brother go balllistic on the man that said that he shot him. He listened in as everrything became silent and a lone voice facing him confessed to shooting him. If Trini were more aware, he would have realized that that man confessing was probably the one babying him. But he was too far gone to associate the two. Plus, his dark and cloudy mind was barely keeping up as the male begged what could only be his brother for forgiveness.
Trini felt sadness in the stranger's voice. The true emotion was so real it was almost palpable. He waited curiously to see what what's his name would say...
Yeah, Trini was so gone that he forgot his brother's name.

Damon was tense as Venice stayed quiet in Aeron’s arms. He was truly sorry to cause him pain, Venice was part of his family now and Damon had sworn he’d never hurt his family again. But here he was, doing it again. Damon let his head drop as he glared at the floor. That’s all he seemed capable of doing, hurting people. It sickened him.
Damon looked up again when Venice approached. He waited for Venice to yell at him again, hurt him, do something but instead the small male spoke quietly. He forgave Damon. Damon was shocked. He couldn’t believe it.
Venice turned his attention to his brother soon after he’d said what he’d wanted. Damon sat in silence. How could Venice forgive him so easily? Damon listened as Venice spoke before he quickly stood and started to leave. He felt Aeron’s hand on his shoulder but kept on walking. He felt like he didn’t belong in there.
Once outside he took a deep breath and closed his eyes calming himself down. The crowd from before had dispersed and the group was still packing up their belongings in case Lycus decided they’d move.
Damon frowned as he thought of the man. He still hadn’t forgiven him for his actions earlier even if it was for him. Damon sighed and headed back to his tent. he didn’t want to see anyone for a while. He just wanted to rest.
His tent was in between Ellis’ and Lycus, near the centre of the camp. Damon entered and immediately stripped himself of the leather armour he had on and his shirt before slipping into his bed. It creaked under his weight but Damon just closed his eyes and tried to get some sleep. But each time he did he’d see the man’s blue eyes. Trinidad’s blue eyes.

Trini drifted bodyless in his sleep world. He was feeling almost emtionless too. He could hear an excited yet subdued voice talking nonstop somewhere out there. It sounded sweet and comforting. Actually, it was so comforting, he drifted off deeper into sleep and lost all forms of conciousness.
Trini tried to roll over sometime later. It was a subconcious move to move. But boy did he regret it. The second he moved his leg, a screaming pain shot up his leg and twinged. He groaned in pain and tried to open his eyes. That's when he also tried to swallow. His throat was raw and felt like it had a HUGE lump in it. He moaned again as he tried to swallow and roll over the other way. There he was met by a soft blockade.
This time, Trini opened his eyes slowly. He needed to see where he was at and how he could feel better. At first, he saw only pools of brilliant and fuzzy colors. And everything was too bright. He whined as he tried to wipe the sleep rom his eyes. By his arms were too heavy. He could barely lift them.
Finally, he gave up. He tried to swallow again and whimpered, "Help."

Ellis spun round when he heard a rough voice behind him. He was quickly at his patient’s side with a flask of water. He gently helped the other sit up so he wouldn’t choke and let him slowly sip the water, he made sure not to give him too much though or else it could make him worse.
“Careful, don’t try to move too much. You still recovering.” Once the other was done, he gently laid him down on the bed again and started to check his wounds. “Don’t panic, you’re safe here. I’m Ellis, a doctor of sorts. I won’t let anyone hurt you while you’re under my care. Just don’t struggle or you may open you wound.”
There didn’t seem to be any immediate signs of infection and Ellis was pleased with how it looked.
Damon hadn’t gotten much sleep that night. He’d felt the guilt of his actions eat up inside him, whenever he closed his eyes he would see Trinidad’s pale form lying motionless or the accusing eyes of Venice.
He rubbed his eyes as he sat by the fire trying to get the thoughts from his head. He really didn’t need any of the other group members worrying about him. It would only make things worse. He glanced over to Ellis tent once more before quickly forcing his eyes away. He had no idea why this man was plaguing his thoughts so much.

Trini was still trying not to panic when he heard a heavy set of footbeats running to his side. He would have called out again if his throat didn't hurt soo freaking bad. Though he did jerk away a bit when he was touched. He wasn't used to be touched. And if he were, it usually had inuendo.
However, when his lips touched the familiar rim of a flask, Trini relaxed aand tried to drink. Though every movement of his throat muscles throbbed straight down into his chest. And that led to the pain in his side from where he was kicked. He needed water though. So he willingly took the help
The voice talking to him was soothing and calm. Trini immediately trusted it. Though, he did miss the other guy. The other guy that gave him water was even sweeter. He nodded as the other laid him back down at an angle. The man helping him acted gentle and kind. Ellis huh? He nodded as his body ached from Stem to Stern. Yeah, he wasn't moving anywhere.
Trini waved at Ellis for a pen and paper. He had to ask. The topic was killing him. Was it true? It just seemed impossible...
In a scratchy form of cursive, he wrote, "Do you know my brother?"
That very second, Venice burst in yelling, "WHERE IS TRINI?!"

Damon glanced up when he heard a commotion from Aeron’s tent. He stood and made a move towards it before freezing. He didn’t know how Venice would react to him after the other day; if he had forgiven him fully yet. As Damon stood there deciding what he should do Venice shot out of the tent sprinting straight over to Ellis’. Damon was shocked at first and was about to follow when Aeron came running out of the tent half dressed.
“Did you see where Venice went?!”
Damon was silent at first still in shook before nodding slowly and pointing over to Ellis’ tent. Aeron thanked him before running to the tent. Damon stood there for a minute before letting his curiosity get the better of him.
When he got to the tent Aeron was standing by Venice side as Ellis tried to calm the small male down.
“Your brother is fine Venice, he’s just woken up and still needs some rest.”
Damon tensed. Trinidad was awake. He knew he should leave. Being here would just cause problems. Turn around Damon! As much as he tried to force himself to leave his legs wouldn’t listen to him. Instead he slowly walked further into the tent closer to the small male. He stopped by the bed and finally risked looking down.
The blue eyes that had haunted his sleep stared back at him and it felt like it was just the two of them in the tent.

Trini startled with a painful yelp. "Venice?" He horsely rasped as he tried to turn his head and see if it was true. "Venny?"
Trini knew that voice anywhere. It had screamed his name in defeat after losing childhood races. It had offered him cookies after a long day of school. It had wished him goodnight in a cool summer evening under the stars. It could only be...
"Please..." Trini begged as he saw two people struggle in the dim almost hazy candlelight.
Instead, Trini watched a different shadowy figure approach him almost soundlessly. His bodyshape didn't match that of his long lost brother. And really, Trini only saw him approach out of the corner of his eye. He was too busy trying to catch a glimpse, however small it could be, of his brother.
Suddenly though, the shadowy figure was now hovering above him. Trini looked up curiously at him. Why was this guy crowding him? Why did he not look at him?
Trini's breath hitched. He would have screamed if he wasn't so scared. Instead, he flinched away and nearly fell off of the bed. His eyes were like disks and he was shaking so bad that it looked like he was almost having a seizure. His whole body was stiff and screaming in pain.

Damon acted on instinct when he saw the other sway and almost fall of the bed. He was quickly at his side helping him regain his balance. The other was stiff and tense under his hands. He frowned and crouched down next to the bed, gently rubbing the others arms.
“Hey, I’m not going to hurt you. Can you calm down for me?” He looked into the others eyes and felt himself freeze. Pain and fear where all he could see. Damon felt his chest tighten, like someone was squeezing him. He let go of Trinidad and stumbled back. He was the cause of that fear, that pain.
“Damon?” He jumped when he felt Ellis’ hand on his shoulder. He spun round to see Aeron and Ellis giving him concerned looks. He looked down at his hands to see them shaking and his breath quickened.
“I…I need to get out of here.” He pushed past the others and quickly left the tent thankful that not many were awake yet. He quickly walked to the edge of the camp and sank to the floor resting his head in his hands. Why had he reacted that badly? Why did it hurt to know this stranger feared him?

Trini saw flashes of the man holding him now shooting him. He saw flashes of him holding him down as the other guy strangled the air out of his body. Trini saw flashes of his own emminent death screaming to claim him.
He heard nor saw anything else that this guy was now doing. Feebily, he tried to break free of his tormentor's grip while trying to contain a soundless strangled scream. He was still fighting even after he was set free. He saw nothing but the fear and panic of today.
Sudden;y, his brother was above above him and patting his arm. He looked longingly into his brother's sky blue eyes and then sobbed. Why was today such a horrible day? First he sees his killer...then he sees his dead brother...Why him? Why him?

Damon took a deep breath and tried to stop his hands from shaking. He’d always been a strong man when it came to his emotions, he leant not to let them show…and yet…one simple thing had shaken him this much. He closed his eyes and leant back. He knew he was running away from it but he couldn’t stay there, not when Trinidad had looked at him like that. Damon scowled when he heard footsteps approach him. They stopped nearby and Damon glanced up. His eyes widened when they settled on the large form of Lycus. Damon’s frown deepened and he turned away. Rage was building inside him. Lycus had saved him and his brother and Damon had always looked up to the man but now…anger was the only thing he felt.
“What do you want?” He spat out.
“We’ll be moving soon, I need you to get everyone ready.”
Damon bit back the growl in his throat and glared up at the other. “Can’t you see I’m not fit to do that right now!”
Lycus was silent and simply watched Damon. The two stared at each other until Lycus turned to leave. Damon sighed and closed his eyes.
“You will do what I ask Damon. Forget about that boy, he is nothing to us until he proves otherwise.”
That was it! Damon pushed himself up and lunged at Lycus. The bigger man stumbled and spun around only to see Damon’s fist smash into his face. Lycus staggered back and Damon lunged at him again “DON’T SAY THAT!”
((Sorry for the wait))
