Reiko had dove out the back door instead of the front. He did it on purpose.
Reiko did it intentionally. As he was pondering telling min about Berli, he realized what a stupid moron he was. Min wasn't just some playdate. He was a real gentleman that deserved not to be played. And to Reiko, all this dinner stuff could only lead his playdate into his playmate.
Reiko looked up to find that he was standing in front of Min's house...

Minore walked home, a pout gracing his lips. Maybe he wasn't cut out to be around any giver.He paused as he turned onto his street. Reiko. The bearer hurried forward and tapped his shoulder, trying to make sure he was okay.

Reiko had no idea how he ended up here. He silently still outside Minore's home just staring at the door. He had intention of coming here. He was still dazed and staring when he felt a tap on his shoulder.
Reiko turned his head slowly. There, standing in the sun his silver hair glowing was Min. Reiko sucked in a breath he didn't know he had been holding and wiped away tears he hadn't known he had been crying.
"Hey," He whispered softly.

Minore reached up to touch Reiko's tear streaked cheek. Worry was etched into his eyes. What had happened between Reiko and Berli that had the giver acting like this?

Reiko looked deep into Min's eyes. His own still trailing tears. "Sorry Min. I didn't mean to ditch you like that. Well, I did but...yeah."
He stepped back away from Minore. "I'm a real complicated but shallow guy Min." He continued softly. "You don't wanna get with the likes of me. I'm the Giver your mom is afraid you'll find. I'm sorry I dragged you into this."
Reiko then turned away fom Minore and drug himself down the sidewalk with his head bowed.
His mind kept screaming 'GO BACK YOU IDIOT!' But he knew better than to hurt Min anymore than the wonderful bearer was already going to be hurting.

Minore stared for a minute before following Reiko. He reached out to grab the giver's wrist in order to stop him but stumbled. He nearly fell with a loud gasp as he felt the shocks consume him.

Reiko heard the bearer coming and prepared to be grabbed. But he hadn't expected...
The electrical shock that could only be the beginnigs of a mateship jolted pleasureably up his arm and iinto his heart. Simultaneously, he caught Minore in craddled hug just before he stood Min up. He couldn't help the loving smile he gave the silver-haired beauty before he came to his senses.
MATE?!
Minore?!
He instantly pulled away while mumbling, "...you?..."

Surprise was written all over the bearer's face. He blinkeda couple of times before looking at Reiko. Taking in the loving smile, he relaxed slightly. When Reiko moved away, however, he stared at the other. He didn't know what to do. Was this a good thing or bad thing?

Reiko knew that he had been falling in love with Minore. He couldn't find it in himself to play his moves on Min like he could the others. And the rest made sense too. The nervousness...the sickness...the fear...
Reiko's knees began to become weak and he cumpled to a seat right there on the sidewalk.
In a cracking and weak whisper, he mumbled, "You are too good for me. I'm only trouble Minore. Escape while you still can and I won't think any less of you."

The Zercan bearer let out a slow breath, accepting fate just as he had been taught by anyone and everyone. Kneeling down, he hugged Reiko.

Reiko couldn't stop the tears now. They flowed with every painful breath. "Min, I have a checkered and tattered past. I'm not the pure clean soul you deserve. And the life I offer to you is anything but extravagant. And you will see and do things in public that will make a blind person blush. Take you chance Min. Run away, please."

Minore pulled away slightly, staring down into Reiko's eyes. If I do leave you, we'll die. Mates are suppose to stay together despite anything. He pressed a kiss to the giver's cheek took his hand again.

Reiiko slipped a shaky hand into Minore's. His concious knew full well that Min was right. Just the touching of the hands alone was enough to tear into them physically and mentally so bad that it would ruin and kill them.
"Min. I'm sorry. Really...Really...Seriously..." He fell forward against the bearer. His face buried in Minore's side. "I'm sorry."

Reiko obeyed without question. Minore seemed so calm and together. He had figured that the bearer wouldn't want anything to do with him and would be just as torn up about the situation as him.
He kept his hand hold with Min and let the bearer lead him back to the house and enetually up the stairs and inside. Before Min coould say or do anything, Reiko pulled him into a kiss. It was gentle yet full of meaning.
