(I hope you don't mind the title istaya)
"Heldea?" A voice reaches my ears as my eyes snap open. A fire crackles in front of me and the children sleep near by our concel meeting.
"yes sir?" I say to our leader as I stand to bow, never once locking eyes with the elder male nor his co-leader and lover. She on the other hand answers me.
"How are the kids?" Her voice is gentle, but guarded from showing any signs of hope.
"Most are still sick ma'am... I know we'll have to move soon," My gaze is in the crackling fire. "But if we do then they may die... Their so weak."
"I see," One of the other members, our current medic, says lowly. "maybe its where were staying, out in the open... We should find a village and maybe-"
"WE'D BE SHUNNED BEFORE WE EVEN STEP FOOT IN SAID VILLAGE!"
"But sir," A girl, one of the better trained hunters speaks up. "Why would we be? We hunt the creatures they fear."
I cringe as I await the answer, we all know it well, but rarely ever ask upon it.
"You as well as I know that people believe if you live with the beasts you become one as well, we can never return to the cities until we have one of their heads on a stick!" And that was the end of our meeting for the night... We'd move in the morning.

(I love it...all of it. And my fairy's have magic like the fairies in Fern Gully, but they are human sized)
Anouk could tell their were strangers in the forest, for the forest spoke to him, he knew they were hunters, with adults and children alike. He had planned to spook them off, they were getting too close to their homes, but as he listened to what was wrong he felt bad. He didn't want their children to die, so he decided instead he would try to help. He rushed back to his home and grabbed his blankets. They were warm, extremely so, but light so easy to carry, and would cover all the children, plus have room for more. As he ran back he called to the forest asking them to guard the children and asking for something to heal them. He got his answer in the form of a rare healing plant, it was this and the blankets he left near the campsite before hiding once more.
He sung softly in his language trying to lure someone, anyone out, so they would find the blankets and the herbs. Him and his kind were not monsters, they didn't even eat meat, they just took care of the forests and whomever was lost inside. Of course they never showed themselves knowing that just because they were different they would be harmed.

(Awe, thanks~ And I love your fairies and Anouk~)
-3rd person POV-
A soft tune breaks through the night of hooting owls and a young boy, light in features and heart, rose from his slumber. He had been holding his close friend in their fitful sleep. But the night isn't meant to sing, its meant to hold demons. And though he knows better than to be lured in, he feels as if the song isn't meant for harm so he begins to trek in that direction.
It takes a little bit for him to dogde all the other's whom are still fast asleep and he has to be near silent to avoid waking those with senses as sharp as a knife. When he gets close to the source his feet, not covered for he doesn't sleep in his shoes (though with his occupation you would expect him to), come into contact with something warm and fluffy. Poking it with a toe he frowns and leans down, getting on his knees. A hand stretched out and he grasps the warmth, a gasp leaving him.
"A blanket?" He's confused before groping around to gather it up, looking around in the night. Eyes spotting a slight glint of color. Maybe a set of eyes, maybe wings, maybe a devil... a helpful one though. So he smiles as he finds more sets of the same material and bundle them up, finger's brushing a plant. "Thank you." He calls softly as he stands and quickly heads back to his elder brother.
"Dea! Heldea! Wake up, I've things for the ill children!"

Anouk smiles as the boy comes near, glad someone got the supplies. He moved, staying hidden to watch the other's reactions. He just wanted to be sure they would keep the supplies, not toss them because they did not know where they came from. Anouk only wanted to help, never to harm, and he knew the children were ill.

-Heldea's POV (yay)-
My brother's voice cuts through the blackness of sleep like a hot knife does warm butter. Eyes snapping open and reflexes are to grab him and pull him down next to me, I do and stare him in the eye, "you... you what?"
"Found blankets...! and a plant of some kind," Jasper says excitedly. "Maybe these can help."
My brows furrow and lips form a thin line, I'm sure from the expression that my brother pulls -an oh please just except the fact I found them, please don't freak look-, "Where?"
"Why does it matter? Only an angel could be so kind after all," he says quickly and I know he's trying to cover up for something. But then again... What do we have to lose?
"Fine, but dammit, be more cautious next time Jazz," My tone is cutting but he just nods. "Alright give me that herb and I'll wake the medic... Cover the kids and get to your sack." Gleefully the younger copy of me does so, gently wrapping the children up in the warm cloths. Sighing I get up to wake the medic as I said I would.

Anouk steps forward still in hiding but wanting to see Heldea. For some reason he felt a tug to him. He knew he should be careful lest him be discovered, but he could not seem to go back home.

The medic is grumpy when I wake him, but he just agrees. This herb could be useful. So I'm sent out with a small pot to the nearby river. My knife is also in one hand as I carefully step through the night.

Anouk follows him curious, hoping they would be able to use the herb. He sung softly guiding him on his way, telling the forest to clear the way for the male.

Finding the walk extremely easy, I reach the river in a few minutes. Getting down on my knees I set the knife aside so I can fill the pot with river water. I hear a rustling, but don't grab for the knife, I need to finish feeling this pot before I can freak out... The children deserved this at least.

Anouk stayed out of sight as he watched him, speaking to the river, asking it to fill his pot quickly. He just wanted to help his male all that he could.

Soon the pot is full and I can stand with it and my knife. Cautiously I return to the came to see it alive and a small fire in the center awaiting my water to boil the herb with in hopes it makes good tea, healing tea. Please, God, let this help them!

Anouk sat outside the tree line watching everything that was going on. He sung softly while the water boiled, making it so they would not hear but giving the herb more healing powers.

Ten minutes later, or as close one can get without a clock, the tea is poured into mugs and given to the ill and those with symptoms of it (not just the kids after all). Dea watches concerned and the medic just says softly, "We'll see how this helped in the morning... Please take first watch since you found this."
Nodding we organize everyone for sleep again before I head for the look out tree. Climbing it I nestle in for the first few hours. Or at least until first light. Then another hunter will take over afterwards.

Anouk didn't expect this and it was a mad dash to get out of the males way. He ran a few trees away hoping the male did not see him. He had to wait till the other was looking away before he could run back home.

Besides a rabbit or a mouse scurrying through the brush, nothing in the forest moved. And this is the perfect night for sleep or tracking. But tonight it will be sleep. Soon the light featured male fall into a light sleep and when first light comes he switches places with one of the older hunters, settling down next to his brother to rest for a few more hours before they packed up and moved out.
