Aiko slowly pulled away from him, "It does not matter..." he murmured. "Just forget about it."

The old Miki would have pinned Aiko down and grumpily growled for him to talk. But this new Miki just let the bearer slip away and make excuses. Though, he really did miss the closeness and their shaared body heat. He frowned. "I'm not going to forget about it. But, I'm not going to push you and make you even sadder. When you're ready though, you need to tell me."

Aiko looked back to Miki sighing, knowing he couldn't tell him, but he would not say that. "Yeah ok..." he whispered then started to walk off, walking across the sand slowly.

Miki just sat there confused. What had he done wrong? How was he losing his friend? When would they hold hands again? And how was he going to get Aiko back?

Aiko soon sat hard in the sand letting the waves wash over his feet when the tide came in. Soon he touched his stomach in worry, "We'll be alright...he'll remember us soon..."

Miki watched him sit just inside the tide. Determinedly, he stood up and then sat down next to Aiko. Their bodies were flush together and he wrapped an arm around Aiko's shoulder, pulling the bearer even closer to him. He didn't offer a word as the surf lapped at their bare feet.

Aiko jumped startled as he felt Miki sit next to him, he didn't expect that. He flushed as Miki pulled their bodies close, he stayed silent as well, because he did not know what to say to him.

Miki just let the cool surf and the brilliant stars do the talking. And by the way his companion was relaxing, he knew that he was doing something right.

After a bit Aiko stood and pulled Miki up, "Lets go back to the hotel."

Miki silently stood up and held his hand out for Aiko to take it. He didn't say a word. Instead, he held his eyes pleading into Aiko's confused and sad eyes. He hoped...just hoped...

Aiko looked to his hand then took it gently. He did not speak as he started to walk back to the hotel hand in hand with his mate.

Miki liked the feel of Aiko's palm within his own. He smiled despite the silence. This closeness was just enough for him right now.
Miki opened the door gentlemanly for Aiko and then led them back to their room. He found it nice to be back in the warmth and comfort of their hotel.
"MIKI! MIKI!!!!" A young boy of about 11 yelled as he ran towards him. "YOU HAVE TO HURRY!!!! YOUR FATHER WAS ATTACKED!!!"
Miki looked to Aiko confused just a second before the boy barrelled into them. "Father?"

Aiko gently pulled Miki free from the boy then bit his lip. "We have to go..." he moved back to start packing them up. He did not want to leave just yet, but if Miki's parents were hurt they needed to go.

Miki still stood there confused. He looked questioningly over at his friend Aiko, "My father is who again? I can't remember him."

Aiko sighed, "We will meet him when we are home..."
