This time Talen didn't struggle and let Killian hold onto him. His heart yearned for him to accept Killian but his head was telling him no. He knew that if he did accept Killian and the man was taken from him, he wouldn't survive the pain.
"I don't want to be hurt..." Talen whispered.

Killian frowns and holds the bearer out at arms length. He looks deep into their duel colored eyes and then sighs, "Oh." He shakes his head slowly. "I won't ever let anything harm you, never ever."

Talen stared back into Killian's eye's and shook his head. "I'm not scared of physical pain, but I've seen what losing your mate can do to someone and...I'm scared that if something happened to you, I..." Talen stopped, unable to finish.

Killian frowns and shakes his head, "Talen? Look at me." He waits until their looking eye to eye. "I will never leave you behind in this world, I'll always fight to be by your side as long as you need me to... I will be here for you in this life time and the next." With that he pecks his mate softly. "please stop worrying."

"I can see that you wouldn't leave me willingly but some things you can't control." Talen moved closer to Killian and rested his head against Killian's chest. "I'll always worry. Now you've found me I can't help it."

Killian sighs and runs fingers through his mate's hair, "I understand... As will I you... But sometimes you'll just have to... Live a little, okay?"

"Easier said then done" Talen mumbled. He let his eyes close as Killian stroked his hair, enjoying the warmth coming off the other man. He stayed there for a while before he yawned and moved out of Killian's arms.
"It's getting late." He said as he pulled his shirt over his head and moved toward his bed quickly getting under the sheet.

The blond nods and goes to the edge of the bed, "May I... Sleep with you tonight?" He just wants to hold his mate a little longer.

Talen's heart sped up at Killian's words. He rolled over so he faced away from him to hide his blush and nodded.

Smiling and pulling off his clothes, Killian crawls into bed with his mate, "No need to be shy." He kisses the bearer's closet burning cheek. "I'll always love you."

Talen tensed but soon relaxed. He closed his eyes and soon fell asleep listening to the rhythm of Killian's breath.

Killian watches his mate sleep a while before settling down himself and snoozing. Not actually falling into a deep sleep due to the fact he worried about his parents finding him.

(Dream)
Talen's heart raced in fear as he ran. His little feet trying to keep pace with his parents. His breath came out in quick pants. "Ah" He fell to the floor as his foot caught on a root. "Mama!" he cried as he reached out to his bearer.
"Talen!" His bearer screamed as the Vampyres closed in on the small child. Talen turned around in time to see his giver lunge at the Vampyres.
"PAPA!"

Killian roused at the struggling and shouting. He knew the Talen was having a nightmare, he doesn't like this. So he tightly wraps his mate in his arms and sings a soft lullaby his bearer used to sing to him. Then begins rocking back and forth, soothing his sleeping love and kissing his forehead, "Hush my love, it will be alright. Killian gonna be here through the night. Demones go away and traitors leave. In these loving words believe. Nothing can harm you. For in my arms they have no power over you."

Talen eyes shot open. He struggled against the arms that held him, the vampyres face still in his mind. His heart still raced with fear. Killian's voice filled his ears and Talen remembered where he was. He held his hands against his chest, trying in vain to stop shaking.
