I quirked an eyebrow and leaned so that our faces were inches apart. "Now how could you say that to such a wondrful mate?"

I growled. "Shut up, I hate you!"

A mad grin crosses my face and I cup his chin. "I know~ Now you won't spout such lies like before. You're pretty words can't hide how I know you feel!!"

I smirked and pulled back. "Perfect..." I turned away from him and began to silently tend to the soup. 'There~ Now that he hates me neither of us can get hurt~'

I glared, before standing up, and running out of the room. As I escaped the kitchen, a loud explosion rocked the cave.

I held onto the counter, keeping myself up, as the soup and many other things fell to the ground. "What the hell was that!!!" I ran out the kitchen, going to Kyrian and pulling him behind me. "Stay behind me!!"

I jerked myself free as policemen flooded into the cave. I saw my dad with them, and I ran to him. He embraced me, tears flooding down his cheeks. "Kyrian! I'm so happy to have found you..."

"Zecarius Lenden. You are under arrest for rape of a minor and kidnapping."

My eyes narrowed and I glared at the police, snarling my words. "He's my mate...I will do with im as I please! By law you can not come between mates, doing so gives me the right to kill you..." Smoke and flares began to seep from the sides of my mouth, my hands starting to become claws as I prepared for a fight.

"Kyrian. Is this man your mate?" The police asked. I looked at Dius, before shaking my head in the negative.

"No, he's not." I said calmly, this nightmare finally over. The cops nodded, and stunned Dius with a taser.

I fell to my knees, not so much shocked as...betrayed? Why was I feeling betrayed! I made sure the brat hated me so I couldn't feel that way! 'Shit...do I like having him around...?' As the cops try to cuff me I transform all the way, knocking them out of the way with my wings. I take to the sky quickly, making sure when I break through the top of the cave that I'm knocking all the rubble away from where the kid was. It takes but seconds for me to be just a spot in the distance.
