"No No My Dear," Aunt Mary grinned a little brighter. "Please come in." She then led Zee and Liam into the kitchen. "So My Dear," she addressed Liam, "Have you two eaten? And are you staying here the night?"

Liam nodded shy, "If it was alright with you I would like to stay the night. So Zee can be my tour guide in the morning..."

"Good good." Aunt Mary nodded. "Zee honey, go fix the guest room up for your friend."
Zee looked worriedly between Aunt Mary and Liam. He wasn't so sure if it was a good idea to leave those two alone just yet. But he also did have to ready the guest room for Liam.
Quickly, he hugged Liam, "I'll be right back." And then he dashed around the corner as fast as he could.
Aunt Mary pulled out a stool next to the countertop bar and offered, "Please have a seat? Want anything to drink?"

Liam sat smiling to Mary grateful. "No thank you," he told her softly. He watched her wanting to know how Zee ended up with her when he was Zercan. It was odd to be speaking to a female but after being on Earth so long he had gotten used to it.

It was like Aunt Mary didn't hear Liam say no. She quickly cracked ice cubes into two glasses and filled them with tap water and handed one to Liam.
"I'm sorry if this sounds bold." She began with a straightface as she pulled up a stool to sit only a couple feet away from Liam. "But I want to know something. Are you Zercan?"

Liam took it slightly confused but would not refuse the glass now. He looked to her curious at her question then nodded, "Yes. How do you know of my people?" he asked now.

Mary's stout face turned red and her eyes narrowed as she fidgetted with the glass. "Know of you?!" She barked suddenly. "You stole my brother!"

Liam jumped a bit then frowned confused, "What?" he asked softly. "What do you mean? What happened to Zee's parents?"

"Zee's father, John, my other brother, Joseph and I were all triplets." Mary growled indignantly. "We had never spent a day apart since the day that we were all born. We shared the same crib. Ate together. Shared the same bedroom through high school. EVERYTHING." Mary's voice became louder as she spoke.
She stopped talking for a second to compose herself. Her brown eyes began to fill with tears and she began to shake.
After a few seconds of uncomfortable silence, she continued in a soft cracking voice, "Then one day, John brought home another man with eyes just like yours. He professed to love this guy. He had only known the man for a couple hours. Joseph and I laughed. We thought it was a .... " She cried hard this time. "...joke."

Liam was in shock as he listened not knowing what to say. He wanted to comfort her but was worried.

Mary composed herself as best as she could. Downing her glass of ice water real quick. Finally, she confined softly, "John then broke the real news to us. He was leaving to another planet. A planet named Zerca."
Mary then locked her tearfilled brown eyes on Liam. "I truly hope you aren't planning on taking Zee there." She frowned and glowered at the boy. "It took 4 months for him to come back. And even then, he wasn't my brother anyman. AND!!! HE WAS PREGNANT! "

Liam looked down, "We will be traveling here first...then yes we will be going to my home on Zerca. But I will be the one to get pregnant...not him..." He sighed looking to her, "We can stay if you would like, here on Earth, I have a birthing box on my ship when I do get pregnant. We can live anywhere, I have plenty of money, anywhere you would like. I won't be stealing Zee away from you, but I will not be letting him go either...I love him..."

Mary stared at him blankly. She hadn't been expecting that. Zee would be the father? And Liam loved her Zyzzyx? They were going to leave her? It was a lot for her to take in.
"You will be going away?" She cried softly. "I didn't spend this much time and effort into raising Zee for him to be taken away from me." She pointed out sternly. "He's the only family I have left. I will fight to keep him."
At that moment, Zee walked back into the room. "Hey, did I hear arguing?" He questioned while staring down his aunt Mary.

Liam didn't notice Zee come back in, "I told you I will keep him here on Earth if that is what you want. I want you to move with us somewhere...this island is too small for me to have a child on. I understand you raised him, so I do not want to just take him from you..."
