"Don't you ever let down your guard?" Roman wanted to know. "And just... play?"

"Play?" Rhema asked, raising a brow. "I'm a bit old for that, don't you think?"

"No," he said simply. "Just because we're adults doesn't mean we can't play around." He gestured over to his uncle Ori and Lev jumping in an adult sized bouncy hosue.

Rhema folded his arms. "Perhaps it's our backgrounds. Here, playing is for children."

"Well, maybe you shoudl move elsewhere," he said, reaching out and taking the man's hand. "Why not try it?"

Rhema blinked as the male touched him again. He couldn't seem to quite get used to it. "I wouldn't even know how. And you shouldn't even be romping around."

"Why not?" he frowned.

[praiseofblood]

"You're not feeling sluggish at all?" Rhema asked, cocking his head. He did just get the shot a couple of hours ago.

"I took an energy shot that Dominic brought me," he answered with a shrug, never once stopping and thinking about how it would react to his medicine.

Rhema frowned. "Roman. Are you supposed to be taking that with your medicine?" He asked, pulling his hand away and putting it on his hip.

Roman shrugged. "I'm fine. I needed a pick me up. I didn't want to be sleep while my family is here."

Rhema looked at Roman. "Roman, if you start feeling odd or out of sorts, you tell me. Alright? I'd rather have you falling asleep every now and again versus another relapse or a complication with that medicine. You have to be careful. And no beers." he said with finality.

Roman zipped his mouth and said nothing about the slight cramps in his stomach and ache in his chest since he'd taken the energy shot"Fine."

Rhema frowned. "Roman. Don't lie to me." he said. "I'm serious, alright?"

"It's just some cramping. It's probably nothing," he said with a sigh.
