Wayne just stared at Aida, convinced he'd gone nuts. "Dad...I think mom's finally lost it."

Aida snorted and elbowed Drake. "Tell them, Drake. We've watched this dance with every single kid. I'm trying to help these two out already."

Drake just shook his head. "And now you've prolonged it." he said to his mate, shaking his head. He knew Wayne. He'd do the flip opposite just to say he did.

Garrett huffed. "That would explain why I'm allergic to you," he mused.

"Allergic?" Trey asked, looking at the guy like he was an idiot.

"Don't judge me," he said to Trey and then to Wayne. "You think I look at you like I'm a dumbass because it's fun? I can't stop staring at you and get all... funny feeling when your around."

Well honestly, what the hell was Wayne SUPPOSED to say to something like that. "Uh, sorry?" he offered, confused. Shit, it wasn't his fault.

Garrett just shrugged and took a bit of his roll. "It's all good, sweetcakes. I'm feelin it. Your glasses do something to me."

Wayne blinked, before shaking his head. He was too tired for all this weirdness today.

Aida looked at Wayne expectantly. When he didn't do anything, he frowned at him.

"What, ma? What do you want me to say?" Wayne asked, frowning at his mother. "I don't know what to make of this. D'ya want me to take him up to my room and make grandbabies or something?" He asked, motioning to Garrett. "I barely know him! I need to get used to the idea."

Aida narrowed his eyes. "What I want is for you to have some sense when you talk to your mother for one," he said, standing and tossing his napkin on the table. "And do what you want, Wayne, obviously you don't care much about what I have to say." That said, Aida left the room, hurt that Wayne would talk to him like that. None of his children had ever - not even as teenagers- mouthed off to him.

Drake growled at Wayne. "Wayne!" he said, frowning at his son. "You need to go apologize." he said, leaving no room for argument.
Wayne looked like he was about to object until another growl stopped him and he stood, throwing his napkin on the stable and heading off after his mother.

Garrett sighed. He wasn't sure what to make of this mate business either but really wasn't sure he wanted the sort of mate who would be so ornery to his parents. Standing, his smile gone, he nodded to Drake. "Thanks for dinner," before heading out.

Trey just sort of blinked, before shaking his head. "Yeah, I'm goin out." he said, making for the door.
Drake was left at the table, wondering what the hell was going on with his family.
~*~*~
Wayne knew where his mother would be, and headed to the upstairs balcony overlooking the garden. "Mom..." he said, seeing Aida's form on the tier.
