"That's no problem. A little dust never hurt anyone." Duke replied, fuzzing Gleo's hair as he watched the boy bounce around.

Gleo nodded cutely in agreement. "Oh, this way, this way. I sleep with Kik. Come, come."

[clementine]

"You sleep with Kik?" Duke asked in confusion, trying to suppress a growl at the thought of Gleo with Kik. "I didn't think you two were mates."

Gleo cocked his head curiously at the word mate. "Mates?"

I'm gonna guess he's freaking thinking you're sleeping with ShitKik.

"I am," Gleo said out loud, but talking to Klaude.

No, birdbrain, you're letting him stick his bitesize up your shithole, Klaude cleared up for his other half.

Gleo's eyes widened. "Oh."

Duke cocked his head in confusion. "Oh? You are mates then? Or are you just talking to Klaude?"

Gleo shook his head. "I don't get what you mean, but we're just friends."

"SHut up Klaude!" Gleo yelled, face red.

Duke sighed in relief. "Oh, friends. That's good," he said with a smile, patting Gleo's back. "And don't let Klaude bother you too badly."

Gleo walked into the largest of the bedrooms in the house. there was a normal bed then a futon on the floor. Gleo flopped onto the futon. "Why did you say it was good?"

Duke paused as he sat on the end of Kik's bed. "Because I like you," he said, staring at Gleo fondly. "I don't know why, but I do. That's why I was glad that Kik is only your friend. It means I have a chance."

Gleo blushed a pulled a pillow to his chest. He ignored Klaude's rantings of the other's intentions, and looked up at Duke with innocnet blue eyes. "I'll tell you a secret then. I do like Kik, but only a little."

Duke flushed and looked at his knees for a moment. "Truthfully? You only like him a little?" He asked, voice hopeful and a little desperate all at once.

Gleo nodded, smiling then giggled. "I took his first kiss, that's how we became friends, but he likes girls. It's fun to listen to his 'sisters' beating him up for peeping at them in the shower."

[clementine]

"You stole his first kiss?" Duke asked skeptically with a raised brow. "I didn't know you were so forward, Gleo," he added with a chuckle.

Gleo giggled and pulled the pillow to his chest. "He was nice to me, he helped me." His blue eyes suddenly became far off and he had a sad smile.

Duke frowned and eased onto the floor so he could run a hand soothingly down Gleo's back. "Then he must be a really good friend, yeah?"
