Bane smiled. "Maybe we might end up going together, who knows?" he grinned. He paused then as their orders were places on the table.

Ahiah looked down at the food, the smell of shrimp gumbo hitting his nose. Damn he'd missed that smell, his momma used to make it all the time back home.

"Perhaps." Ahiah said, looking at the male.

Bane looked up, surprised. He had thrown that out there as a joke of sorts, the man's answer thrilled him. "Perhaps you can help me discover my Earthling side."

"You'd get fat as a house, cher. Folk in the South tend to feed a body till they just about ready to burst, 'specially my ma. I don't know how my daddy ain't keeled over yet from all the food." Ahiah said with a small smile.

"I know some people here that eat til their about to burst and never gain a pound," he mused, thinking of his bandmates. "Thats not what worries me. I just want to see the different cultures. My own bearer was from New York City."

"New York?" he mused. "Always was too loud for me, everyone was constantly movin'. No one seemed to stop and enjoy the things around them. But I guess that's life in the Big City, huh?"

"Mentsiquars not so different," he shrugged. "Or at least that's what my aunt tells me."

"That who brouught you up, or your grandparents?" He asked.

[ode]

"My aunt and uncle. I don't have any grandparents," he said simply used to the questions regarding his upbringing.

"Ah. My apologies. I've yet to formally meet my grandparents, though my daddy tells me that Grandma Dell ain't really all there sometimes, like his mamma, but it might be intrestin' to meet them. And finally meet the rest of them fabled Jukars." he said with a wave of his hand.

Bane blinked in surprise. "Lev's mate is a Jukar. Ori's daddy is Drake Jukar."

"Drake Jukar....? The movie star?" Ahiah asked. "That makes ma daddy his first cousin, then. Huh...small world." Ahiah said, leaning back in his chair.

"So Ori's your first cousin. Very cool. You two should talk next concert," he said and then grinned. "That's the only time he's not tonsil deep in his mate."

"Huh...no wonder we got on so well." Ahiah said with a small smile. It was nice to know he had more family than he thought.

Bane smiled before turning the conversation to other things. "So tell me about you, Ahiah -lovely name by the way."
