"Course I do," dressing for the day, Roux headed back out. "We need to head down to Ment city headquarters to officially file our mating."

Making their way downtown, the couple greeted a few fellow military men as they entered Ment-Headquarters where they were directed to have a sit down with Captain Teilli to discuss their mating and to ensure that it was, in fact, a real mating and not two lovers wanting to share a room.
Captain Teilli eyes the couple. "Unclaimed?"
Roux flushed a bit. That was abrupt. "We plan on remedying that today, sir."

Jordynn beamed, draping an arm around the back of his mate's chair. "Indeed we do, we just wanted to work everything out beforehand."

Roux turned an even darker shade of red at his mate's enthusiasm.
Captain Teilli raised a brow, at 37 year old he had yet to find a mate and so didn't quite understand the romantic banter. It was one of the reasons he was chosen for this detail, his detachment on the matter. Still, he knew protocal like the back of his hand. "You do realize that mating or no mating the two of you are not relieved of your duty. You," he eyed Roux, "Will work up to a month before your due date and, if your heath it cleared, up to two weeks before hand. You will both be given two months leave for the child before you will return to ship. You will remain active and your child will be sent to the onboard nursery while you work the day to day. Is this understood?"
"Yes, sir."

Captain Teille nodded and then scanned through his digital conputer, clicking this and that. "When you are mated your salaries will have a significant increase due to the current galaxy kit laws, but I'm sure you are aware of that. For every kit you have the cost of living increases and so does your salary. Beyond that, your rooms will be moved from the barracks and into a suite to suit your family. Again, with each child the size will grow. You'll start with a two bedroom which includes..." He continued.
Roux was surprised by the accomodations made to a mated couple versus a single citizen. He was not aware of this having only studied the more military based aspects of being in fleet.

Jordynn was a bit surprised as well and blinked. Wow.Though he was glad that his mate and family would have a place to grow.

Captain Teille finished up. "Are there any questions?"
Roux looked stunned. "The Fleet gives us all these acommodations simply because we're military and a mated family?"
"Fleet take care of their own as per the inter-galactical treaty signed by every leading party of each planet." When Roux said nothign else, he rose a brow, "Haven't you ever wondered why you had trained nannies on board? In several of my companies soldiers and these nannies and nurses have been fraternizing constantly."
Roux turned and rose a brow at his mate, "I bet YOU knew."

"This surprises me. Me often get men in here who want to try and assume the role of mates for the benefits. They are all to often surprised when we demand proof of mating. Just like we will you. After you mate tonight, since you brought it up, tomorrow you'll be going to be birthing center to assure the Fleet that you are pregnant and when your due date will be so our on board doctors can keep up with your check ups," he finished up. "Now, your appointment will be at twelve 0'clock tomorrow. You're dismissed."
