"I'm not done yet," Vesper growled, "I am not from this planet. I am from one a long way from here. Full of cat people. As you petty humans would put it. Fate chooses our other half, and when we find them, we keep them. And you are my other half. I felt it. The shocks. You're mine. I'll prove to you about the cat thing too if you think I'm out of my mind." He kept the other pinned to the bed, not letting him move.

"You are out of your mind!" Lucy yelled starting to thrash about. "I don't understand any of what you just said, let me go you crazy man."

In the blink of an eye, Vesper had changed into a light brown leopard with black markings. He growled lowly at the thrashing, making the boy still instantly.

Lucy froze at the large cat holding him down. His throat felt dry and he could feel something building up inside him. He opened his mouth to let out a scream.

Vesper changed back and simply pushed his jaw closed. "Believe me now?"

Lucy whimpered. "Please, let me go." Tears began to fix at the corners of his eyes.

Vesper's eyes narrowed. "And what would happen if I did? You'd run and wouldn't return to me. I'll warn you now, my mate... I leave in two weeks. If you're not by my side willingly by then. I'll take you." He let the boy go, amber eyes watching him run out the door.

Once at the door, Lucy turned back and yelled. "Never, you creepy stalker." Then he ran faster.

Vespered chuckled softly. So, now he was a stalker. He didn't know how since he never once stalked the boy. He shrugged it off and laid down to sleep.

Lucy ran all the way to the trailer and didn't stop until he was in his room. He flopped down on the floor, pulling his knees to his chest and burying his face in them. He started to cry.
The only guy who had ever fallen to his seduction was some crazy possessive monster. He felt so worthless.
"Lucy," said a small voice and Lucy looked up to see his cousin in the doorway, a pizza crust hanging out of his mouth. "You're home early.
"You should stay in the kitchen," Lucy said, not able to keep the tremble out of his voice.
"Lucy, are you crying?"
Lucy said nothing. Suddenly, he felt small arms wrap around him. "Don't cry."
"Thank you." Lucy smiled softly before wrapping his arms around Tyler and holding him close, crying on the six year old's shirt.

Vesper felt a sadness in him, but he ignored it, knowing exactly where it was coming from. The kid would get over soon enough. After a week or two, he'd start feeling the effects of being away from him.

Lucy felt worst than a hangover the next morning, he'd cried himself dry and then some. He'd been so excited about finally getting to have sex, but...did he come across as he kind of boy you had to commit to. He didn't want to give anyone the chance to get close to his heart. He'd seen what it could do.

Vesper woke at the perfect time. Four o' clock in the morning. He yawned and got up to take a shower.

Lucy pulled on clothes and made a quick breakfast of toast and tea for him and Tyler before taking his cousin's hand and walking to the bus stop, twenty minutes early, and all in a daze, not yet ready to deal with whatever was going to come with the experience he'd had the previous afternoon.

Vesper headed to his new job with ease. He was going to follow what he told the other. Two weeks was plenty of time for his mate to accept him.
