Down on his luck, that's what Trace considered himself. Sure, he had a job, he had a place to live, but the only person he felt could be his mate was gone. Well, he wasn't stupid, the guy wasn't his mate, but still... He had him, he lost him, and he wanted him back, even if he had a viscous mate. The guy was willing to tear him up, he knew that, but he didn't expect the guy he liked to sit and watch.
Geez, he'd fallen pretty low. Even after knowing that bit, he still found it in him to stand but a few blocks away from where he lived. He convinced himself not to go there so many times, but here he was. It wasn't like he knocked, or bothered the other male, he was just there. He was just there, but that bothered him to, and occasionally he'd dent a wall, or hurt his hand because he was ticked at himself.
Doomed to be alone, he supposed that was the case, and it made him want to scream. Then he was told he was overreacting, but that was by someone who wasn't a Zercan. They obviously didn't understand what being with a mate was like. Heck, he couldn't say he did, but he would say he was suffering a very minor equivalent of what his kind went through with not having one.
So it came full circle, he was resting against a wall, at the corner of some street, not far from the guy's place he liked, but far enough to scram without having being seen near his place. What to do? He could go forward, but where would he go? He didn't have work now, he just had to find something to fill his time, but what.

Erise paused a few yards away. The blue haired fellow was back again. He had seem him often gazing up at his building, maybe he had a thing for one of the tenants? He just looked so sad so... coming upon him, he rested a hand against the man's shoulder. "You alright, guy?" he asked, hating to see anyone sad.

Trace wasn't expecting anyone to speak to him, so when he felt a hand on his shoulder he jumped a bit. Looking in the direction of the guy who came by, he stared at him for a moment. What... No, he was too focused on his loss here to really get into thinking on some dd feeling that came out of nowhere. "I suppose...I can't really say I am," he shrugged his shoulders, looking thoughtful.
"You usually come up to people asking questions?" He didn't mean to be rude, but he sounded rather curt.

"Only when people stare longingly at the building I live in every couple of days," Erise shrugged. "Why? You up to something naughty?"

"I might have done something in the past, but I think I know a bit better now," Trace shrugged his shoulders a bit, not quite sure if he would try anything, but he doubted it, especially with what he saw so far. "So, you live in that building too, huh." He'd say the boy was lucky, but then he didn't imagine he'd seen a guy like this talking to Alphonse.
"I deal in anything bad by the way," In case the other male here was judging him beforehand. "I don't really consider myself a bad guy, just unfortunate." He shrugged again, wondering what Al was doing now.

"Maybe a little pitying?" Erise grinned. "Relax. I can tell from three minutes of talking to you that you take things too seriously. You need to just relax and let things happen."

Three minutes? Had it really been that short a time? Somehow it felt longer, maybe it was just him feeling things drawing on. "You just met me and you think you figured that much out?" He wasn't even sure of that bit himself, but heck, he'd take this kid's word for it. "Relaxing is easier then then done, kid." He imagined the guy was about the same age as him, but he felt much older then he was right now.

"That's because you take things too seriously," Erise repeated with a shrug. "Look, it's none of my business, but you could definitely benefit from a night of debauchary and maybe a chance at getting laid. WHat are you doing tomorrow night?"

"Debauchery, huh?" Trace seriously considered it, perhaps a night out to distract him. "Alright then, I'll do that, tomorrow night sounds just fine." He supposed he'd be meeting this guy somewhere. "Where will we be meeting?" He had to know where to go, or he'd be by himself, he'd probably end up going back to moping, or whatever one called this.

"Nu uh, I'm not trusting you to meet me somewhere. What's your address? I'm coming to get you to make sure you go out!" Erise said with a wide grin.

The guy was persistent, it was possible he could just lay about on his couch, staring at nothing. Even he was sorry to say that he did that more often then not in his spare time. "It's 154 Walen's street, I live in the apartment in building 1520, on the second floor, apartment number six." Maybe he should have reconsidered giving him his address, but it was too late now. "So, you're really going to come to the place of a guy you just met?" If that was the case, this was either a really nice guy, or really very foolish.

"Yep and with my pepper spray in hand," Erise winked. "I hate to see anyone sad and that now includes you. So prepare yourself, guy, tomorrow it's fun time." That said he winked and blew the man a kiss before heading home.

Trace stood there for a moment, unsure of what happened exactly. It seemed he had a date, or someone to generally to hang out with. What had he gotten himself into. "Wow," he spoke quietly to himself, before shoving off to head home himself. Fortunately he didn't have to worry about being busy tonight or the next day, so maybe this was alright. He didn't mind coming back here though, just to look at the building, but... It was still sad, he should move on, easier said then done though

The next night Erise was dressed to impress and knocking on Trace's door.

Trace couldn't say what made him get up the next day, he woke up, laid around the house, then found himself getting ready when it got a bit late. He was dressed to go out, but he didn't expect to have fun. So when he heard a knock on the door, he wasn't surprised to see the young man from earlier.
"So you did come," he didn't sound surprised, but he didn't seem overjoyed either, still just rather sullen. "Well, where to first." He was stepping outside and locking the door behind him. His apartment wasn't a mess, but he didn't feel he needed to show the inside of it.
